Food and service were very good. Although situated at crossroads, there was no traffic noise. There was a lot of machinery noise from fans, pipes, kitchen, heat5ing etc. however all this did cease after 11pm. |

The food in the restaurant was of a high quality and the restaurant staff were very efficient and friendly. Mix up over room allocation which was sorted when pointed out, but no apology. The room booked was a superior double room, however it was very disappointing. It was in need of re-decoration and refurbishment. In my opinion this hotel fell short of 4 star accommodation standard. |

We were celebrating my wife's 60th birthday with a weekend break, with the intention of visiting the Antiques Fair at the nearby Showground. The location was ideal and the staff were all polite, friendly and helpful. The evening meal was better than at many a top class restuarant. We also enjoyed the Carnival at Wells on the Friday evening |

Nice atmosphere, Friendly staff, excellent food. Windows in our room had been left open reducing the temperature to zero. We requested additional heating and were advised that the central heating was all that they had. All other rooms were taken. The management needs to improve room servise standards. |

The shower was good. Yes, the room was noisy, unbearably hot, and expensive for what was offered. Breakfast wasn't served until 8.00am .. which I think is late. |

wij hebben er ondanks het feit dat de kok die de naam heeft opgebouwd die avond voor het laatst kookte, erg goed gegeten. |

Close to the Bath & West Showground, Glastonbury Festival and the cathedral city of Wells, The Canards is on the outskirts of Shepton Mallet, on the A37. |
These en suite rooms with large LCD TVs, double-size showers and free broadband are located 500 yards off the A303 just outside the racing town of Wincanton. |
