Score from 115 reviews Fabulous
Room very hot, airless, even with the windows open all night.
I'd just stayed in Travelogue & Ibis hotels where I was treated as a client, a customer, an item. The Abbey treated me as a guest.
Historical dislikes only. Building the hotel eliminated a fine medieval barn & obscured the west front of the Priory. Unforgiveable!
Clock tower chumming
The old world charm, excellent service and right in the heart of Malvern. The breakfast was very good and staff in all areas very attentive.
There is no air conditioning but a fan is in every room. Small problem and we had a good nights sleep!
Very good at changing our room So that we were near our friends
The initial room was poor and not near our friends even though we booked for two rooms in same name!!
interesting layout -our room was in the end turret of the hotel so had a lovely ceiling and a bathroom on a different level. very comfortable room with great views plenty of space.
didn't find anything to dislike about this hotel.
The location was ideal, our room was very comfortable, breakfast was super. The staff were helpful and 'there when needed'.
The ivy covering the windows, especially in the restaurant, which made it difficult to view the gardens and the Abbey itself whilst having breakfast!!
The hotel had all we needed and the staff were very helpful. The breakfasts were very comprehensive.
The pillows were too hard - soft ones should be provided as an alternative.
We slepted in room 108 but did get much sleep due to a generator going on every 20 minutes which spoiled our visit really very disappointing
Hotel has character and set in a great location
Should have a rear entrance to access the car park.
the setting, breakfast, polite helpful staff but most never smile.
standard double room on small side, no where to put suitcase. food in lounge bar restaurant rather dear for what it was.
Large room with excellent views of the Priory and the Severn Valley. Proximity of lift. Very spacious bathroom. Good breakfast. Convenient position close to the town centre.
Room was rather too hot at night - duvet too heavy for the time of year.
My room was next to a door. Always hear slamming door.
Breakfast finish too early(9.30) in the morning
Very spacious public areas, clean and inviting.
Water for the bath and shower not very hot.
The room was hopeless, no. 338, tiny in size, window that could hardly open, you had to wrestle the tap in the bathroom to operate it.
The breakfast The comfort of the bed Our second room
How none of our requests were met at all until we complianed. The staff could have showed us to our first room as their instructions were poor.
Location and the greenery.
Quite far away from self-served laundry services
Friendly & helpful staff and good selection of food.
Room 109 was comfortable & clean but a little disapppointed by the view of a brick wall rather than the Worcestershire plain.
Hotel was centrally located and food was very good. Our room was very good.
The pressure in the shower was spasmodic.
loved it, lots of room, lovely bathroom, quirky views over town from our 'above-top-floor' end of hall room. Being in town center was lovely!
90p for a weekly paper dated 6 days before was a bit cheeky
staff food rooms cleanliness
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Food very good and for me bar food is preferable to restaurant. Free parking in spacious car park Free w-fi
The decor is very old fashioned for my taste - patterned carpets, and patterned walls. The 70s decor of the restaurant is fine for a breakfast room but it has almost a staff canteen quality about it. It's overlit and totally lacking in intimacy. The food is good but eating in the bar has a better ambiance.
Excellent location. Good food.Comfortable room.Good facilities.
bell ringing at a very early hour.
Accommodation & food were very good.
