The hotel was conveniently sited and the staff were all very helpful. At the time that I stayed, the hotel was very busy (fully occupied?), but the staff dealt with the high numbers of customers with great efficiency.

Double rooms in the new section are far too small and do not represent value for money. Just bearable for a single night but no longer. Restaurant food quality was average only and not up to expectations. Main course ( fish on risotto) had to be returned as it was completely dry and stodgy. Restaurant staff were however extremely polite and efficient and exchanged for a different choice without question.

Staff very friendly and helpful, rooms very comfortable, very welcoming break which we will enjoy again.

At breakfast drinking from mugs I feel is not in keeping with the Hotel image especially when after stirring ones tea or coffee there is no receptical to place ones dirty spoon on.

The staff were very helpful and courteous and the room was very comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent.

The restaurant was very plain, lacking in atmosphere and the menu was limited and somewhat pricey.

The room

We had to pay £10 extra a night for our dog, yet nothing was provided for him and he left no mess. We went in the bar only to be told we couldn't go in with the dog!!! Whats the point of a hotel with dogs if you can't go in the bar, something that you should be told when booking!! Breakfast was a sham the first morning, it was full and there wasn't enough staff to cope, tables were not cleared and food needed replenishing.

The buildings character ,the standard of the room and size of the bathroom .It's nearness to the Priory (on the door step )and the Malvern Hills for walking . It's dog friendliness .Pleasant staff (and locals) .Excellent base for touring the area too.

Signage to reception from the car park very poor almost non -existent on a sloping site and with one of us with calf injury led to some wandering around with luggage .One toaster for diy toast at breakfast between hundreds of guests . "Nominal " charge for the family pet dog staying with us of £10 per night not confirmed pre-booking or indeed until check out .Looks like a bit of a whinge this but we enjoyed our stay and would go back and it would not take much to change all this - buy a couple of toasters and put some signs up for a start .

Pleasant relaxed stay, nicely presented rooms and helpful polite staff. Breakfast was good, despite the hotel being full up the staff worked exceptionally hard to ensure everyone got fed.

new part of the building nowhere near as nice as the old part, would be nice to have wifi in the rooms not just public areas.

I didn't like sitting for breakfast at a dirty table ss there were none clean.the hotel was very busy tho that morning. We were brought a pot if tea but no cups. i asked for cups, we were given one absolute had to ask again. Jug of hot water requested was tepid. Sunday afternoon we were twice woken by staff knocking the door. First to ask ifthe room had been cleaned answer then to ask if we had seen the note about a party they'd put under the door. I came here to rest. No chance od that morning.

Lovely room in the old building, plenty of room, comfortable with beautiful views. Location excellent for all pubs, restaurants and shops.

Breakfast service was appalling, the food was good when it arrived.

Over priced, very small shower and no bath, certainly not four star, room service food very poor, broken mug in room which I didn't realise until I was scolded by hot tea

Only one person on the bar having to manage drinks, food ordering and delivery. No table cloths in the restaurant for the evening meal and food a bit average for the money.

The hotel has a lovely country house feel and is comfortable with well appointed and extremely clean rooms. Reception staff especially are very friendly and obliging

Breakfast service is abysmal with poorly trained staff and lack of supervision. When we arrived for breakfast at 0830, there was not one cleared table. Waiters seemed bewildered and resetting the table seemed a problem, was done in a haphazard way and for example we had to request that the table was wiped before the coffee was put on it. Cutlery was not readily available and we lacked teaspoons! The young lady we thought was in charge seemed to be simply concerned with refilling the buffet. No-one was looking around to supervise staff and ensure clients were looked after. We saw a waiter placing bread in a basket for toast with his fingers and not using the tongs provided. A pity as we felt that the breakfast experience let the hotel down badly.

It was easy to come and go as we wanted and very relaxed feel to lounge area.

Tried to connect to internet with my Windows 8 but unable to due to possible update required on hotel system? However, this was not a problem as we were supposed to be relaxing!

Rooms were very budget, tv did not have many channels, very difficult to get to room and expected wi fi in the room

Good location, pleasant bar.

Receptionist's welcome was professional but icy cold. My double room's Internet was down; I was offered no alternative and had to argue strongly before being offered a tiny single room where the Internet worked. No air conditioning. No extractor fan in bathroom/wc.
