hotel is very close to the beach and staff is very friendly

it was friendly i arrived at 10am and was booked in and giving the 3rooms this was great as had been traveling since 5.30am

that the street street looked run down

The owner Neil was very accommodating and friendly. The rooms are spotless and the drinks are very reasonable. The breakfast was relished after a night out on the town!! We will deffo stay there again. Gloria from Pontefract West Yorkshire

Friendly and welcoming, good atmosphere the room was comfortable and fresh towels and lots of coffee and tea facilities ! Would definAtly go back there. He even moved his car so we had a parking space! Excellent!

Friendly staff polite breakfast very good and a wide choice. Rooms comfortable and clean. With in 5mins of the Tower and shopping. Went to three shows all very good would go back again

The location the room was cold no heating And no hot water !

The rooms were clean & fresh with En-suite The breakfasts were fantastic, plenty of cerials & full English breakfast if required including black pudding, I had a full English breakfast the first morning, and my partner, Sister & Brother in law had a full English everyday. I had a boiled egg for the next three days, and was asked how many I wanted, they were cooked to perfection, I can't even cook them to perfection for myself. The Proprietor was very frendly, and we had some very good nights in the bar where there was always good music playing, all in all we had a fabulous four days in Blackpool made even better by the accommodation

Because we booked at the last minute, the only rooms available were on the second floor our fellers nearly had a heart attack taking the cases up, but as I said the rooms were fine ours had a four poster bed and there was tea & coffee making facilities, a hair dryer and a safe which was very usefull

Was in an excellent location, staff were very warm and welcoming. Very clean and comfortable room, breakfast was lovely we enjoyed our stay, would stay again and would recommend.

Location excellent for quick break. The waitresses at breakfast were delightful.

The lobby smelt damp and smoky as did the room a little, The hotel had a only service rooms if asked policy which was fine but did make you feel that perhaps you were disturbing the hoteliers to do their job. So we only asked for our room to be serviced when we run out of toilet roll (which also smelt smoky). The breakfast was ample but the toast was cold and the sausages very basic ie little meat. They had run out of fruit or alternative teas. .

I liked the four poster bed and the friendly staff and also the breakfast was good :-)

having to climb 5 flights of stairs to get to the room...

it was very welcomming nothing was to much trouble host was available any time the room was cosy and warm meals were good value and plenty of it. the host was very friendly and welcomming.would recommend this hotel. close to facilities and beach. ten out of ten well done to the aberford.would use this place again.

nothing to complain about

The owner and staff were all very friendly and anything asked for was provided. The owner even went out his way the 1st day to move his own car so I could park easily - not many would do that!! And even though we arrived 1 and a half hours early, the owner allowed us to go straight up to the room, which I was very happy about.

The website said that they did karaoke, that was one reason I chose this guest house. Having a young child means I don't get out alot so I was looking forward to some entertainment in the guest house at nights, as I love karaoke. However, this was never offered and had to go out to the arcades just for some entertainment and I was very disappointed with this. The room I stayed in, though clean could've done with an update/coat of paint.

Typical Blackpool weekend stay, clean accommodation and breakfast made to order (Not cooked in bulk and left to stand in a warmer). Happy with what we paid for the overnight stay, nothing fancy, but happy to stay again if visiting Blackpool in future.

The location. Very noisy outside. We have stayed in many hotels in Blackpool but have never stayed in one so near the centre, and it would be for that reason only that we wouldn't stay there again

neil and staff are very nice. room was nice and clean.plenty tea,coffee and milk in the room. if i was going back to blackpool for a holiday i would go back to this hotel again.

the breakfast was excellent ,and the karaoke dj was very entertaining .

Good location close to all Blackpool life,shops, beach and good nightlife.The owner was always around if you wanted anything.

This is not just a complaint about just the Aberford but also of other town centre hotels eg.The Grand in Scarborough is the same it is the parking facilities.If you have to pay for parking the councils should give some sort of discount to people staying at local hotels, they are spending money in the towns and hotels so they should not be so heavily penalised for travelling by car.
