Disco until 12:30 Drunk mob of patrons Pervasive smell of alcohol Run down rooms
I loved the state of the art bathroom suite, the continental breakfast was absolutely delightful. The entertainment was out of this world.
The staff were extremely helpful in directing me to the hotel and very friendly while there too. I had a lovely dinner and if I was in the area I would consider staying again.
The shower was a little grubby, including the shower curtain.
Food Breakfast very good.
noise level very loud till 1am
Clean Room, Bed, Breakfast, WiFi
Bathroom smell was pathetic though it was fairly clean, I cant imagine how that smell lasted, they need to use air fresheners in the toilets.
The Rooms were very basic to say the least. Plugs were hanging off walls, When you tried to turn the tap on in the bathroom the whole tap turned. .The bathrooms was an onsuite cupboard, No Hot water for shower continental breakfast was coffee and cereal.
Very dirty! Old furniture! Poor breakfast!
Beds were uncomfortable. Breakfast was mediocre.
Impressed with price and location close to shop and a few takeaway and restruants.
Loud music until 1230 and then loud customers until 130 in the morning. Unable to acess guest house on weekends for breakfast and when we did get inside no toilets. No one on reception on weekends early in the morning, and no staff to be found.
Food and drink. Garden and location.
Shabby decor and furniture. Strange caravan style plastic bathroom 'pod' in room.
very noisy, people were partying , druk very loud music until midnight, could not sleep properly
On suite was a room 3 x 3ft with a toilet a wash basin and a shower you could not swing a cat round. You sat on toilet and you could not close the door. The windows were a disgrace. All in all a dump
Very convenient for where I was visiting. Familiar territory as I used to live just round the corner! Staff were very helpful and tolerant of a silly old lady who couldn't find her room and then couldn't unlock the door. Room was clean and comfortable and had all the necessary comforts (tea & coffee making facilities in the room and a TV.) Breakfast was included and was excellent - great choice.
Too many stairs - I'm currently living in a bungalow and do not do stairs very easily.
Staff member behind reception was very polite and welcoming, room was large and clean. Very cheap price paid for 2 people sharing a twin room.
Room was very tired! Window didn't open properly due to rotten window, shower was very very weak. Loud thumping music from the pub downstairs until 12.30am but after that no noise at all.
On the Saturday, it felt like a nightclub, and there was no warning of this, with music been played until 2am extremely loud, wasn't convenient with a baby, no air con or fan as rooms were exceptionally hot.... If we had been warned about it been a function venue we would have booked else where, shower didn't work (no warm water)
Price was low. Bar and beer garden area was good. Twin rooms were ok.
The single rooms were very poor. The combined shower and toilet cubicle was very small and the bed was terrible. Curtains were paper thin so sunlight streamed in from 5am.
This was excellent value for money. Its cheap accommodation but perfectly ok at these budget prices.
Ensuite is a pod and just a little bit too compact.
no shower pressure, no hot water, not cleam, smelly, they had disco on the pub till about 2 at night, beds where bouncing with us, after that noise on the corridors, people knocking on our door, screaming, fighting and I can keep going on....
On arriving I was welcomed and pleased at the cleanliness of the bar and reception area. The bar staff were friendly. My room was so basic with a single bed and what looked like the inside of a portaloo as a bathroom with the smallest shower! Though I did have a kettle , ironing board and small tv. There was no hot water the following morning so I showered at the office. Unfortunately my room was above the pub and the music beats went on late into the night. Some of the pub goers were sucking on helium ballon still 10.30 which wasn't pleasant as I tried to get some kip. Id say if you are having a good drink and planning on going to bed v late then this would be an ok stay. For me cleanliness aside, I won't be returning. I need to get at least 6 hours a night.
noisey bedroom, matress on bed very very poor indeed, bathroom size was ridiculas.
No obvious place to check in. Had to wait 15 minutes to do so . Just handed the key and waved upstairs ...had to go up and down several flights of stairs carrying luggage. Sraircase and decor was very poor. In the morning couldn't find the breakfast room ...all doors were locked downstairs. Had no breakfast and are still waiting for receipt which was promised by email
You get what you pay for...basic but clean.
Bathroom was a tiny plastic unit..v odd!
Great location for the purpose of my stay. Good food, comfy room. Staff were excellent and very helpful.
There was no hot water the following morning and reception was closed so I couldn't let anybody know.
the price was very cheap
lovely property that needs a serious upgrade no plug in sink ,shower door broken, minimum furniture in room,no hot water one night. But £105 for 3 nights B&B for 2 people was very cheap.
The mattresses are worn out with all the springs protruding. It was too uncomfortable to sleep on. Such a cheap item to replace but it spoilt the whole stay.
