Family room was poir my son had to sleep on a sun lounger cover that was just lay on the floor !!!
Staff very friendly. Nice garden. Cheap rooms.
Definitely could do with refurbishment! Cracked windows, creaky beds,no window or ventilation in "caravan style" bathroom, no full length mirror, sockets hanging off wall. Couldn't find where to get breakfast.
Great friendly family run pub.
The staff were very rude and unfriendly, considering the amount I was paying for the night, I would expect more. I stayed in a single room and the bathroom was tiny to say the least (cupboard size - in fact I think it was just a converted cupboard). I definitely would not go back or recommend it.
Loud music till 11pm above the room. Breakfast appeared to quick to be prepare on request and there was a long hair in the food. The room although tidy needed maintenance with a socket point hanging off. I did not expect these standards for the price paid
Staff were pleasant. Convenient for our purposes. Good price.
Tired carpets etc. Mattress very lumpy in room 14.
The room was great and the food at the pub was excellent! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay even though it was only 1 night.
The wifi didn't work but that wasn't a major issue, just wanted to feed that back.
Clean Sheets Price
Disco until 12:30 Drunk mob of patrons Pervasive smell of alcohol Run down rooms
Got there too early to check in, the guy on the desk telephoned a taxi for us to go to the railway station. London was about 1 hr away on the train. After a hectic day, returned about 8.30pm. They had stopped doing food at around 6.00 but a different guy on the desk recommended an Indian restaurant which was only about 1 minutes walk away. The food was superb, trouble was we were so full we couldn't enjoy the bar facilities which looked really lively. We went to be and didn't get disturbed at all. Had a great nights sleep. In the morning we skipped breakfast (continental) as we were still full from the previous evening. There was also a hot option which you would have to pay for. The room price of £35 was really good value. I would definitely book here again. The room was really clean as was our bathroom.
There was nothing I didn't like.
I loved the state of the art bathroom suite, the continental breakfast was absolutely delightful. The entertainment was out of this world.
The staff were extremely helpful in directing me to the hotel and very friendly while there too. I had a lovely dinner and if I was in the area I would consider staying again.
The shower was a little grubby, including the shower curtain.
easy to find and not too far away
Room was dated. Dripping tap in box bathroom a disgrace. Shower had no hot water for ages, dangerous drop between bathroom and bedroom floor, very noisy beer garden and full of morons. Horrible!!!
Food Breakfast very good.
noise level very loud till 1am
The staff were very helpful and friendly.
The grill shut on the checking-in desk was not a welcoming sight! The extremely loud music under our bedrooms, from when we arrived at 8pm until 12.50 am. One of the hinges on my bathroom door had come off so I couldn't close he door. There was no point of contact apart from bar staff.
Clean Room, Bed, Breakfast, WiFi
Bathroom smell was pathetic though it was fairly clean, I cant imagine how that smell lasted, they need to use air fresheners in the toilets.
The Rooms were very basic to say the least. Plugs were hanging off walls, When you tried to turn the tap on in the bathroom the whole tap turned. .The bathrooms was an onsuite cupboard, No Hot water for shower continental breakfast was coffee and cereal.
The pub was lovely, drinks competitively prices, food good quality & menu varied. Breakfast pleasent.
Opened bedroom window & almost lost the entire window to the beer garden below! Rooms/building needs some tlc & a bit of money spending on it!
Very dirty! Old furniture! Poor breakfast!
Beds were uncomfortable. Breakfast was mediocre.
Impressed with price and location close to shop and a few takeaway and restruants.
Loud music until 1230 and then loud customers until 130 in the morning. Unable to acess guest house on weekends for breakfast and when we did get inside no toilets. No one on reception on weekends early in the morning, and no staff to be found.
Food and drink. Garden and location.
Shabby decor and furniture. Strange caravan style plastic bathroom 'pod' in room.
very noisy, people were partying , druk very loud music until midnight, could not sleep properly
On suite was a room 3 x 3ft with a toilet a wash basin and a shower you could not swing a cat round. You sat on toilet and you could not close the door. The windows were a disgrace. All in all a dump
Very convenient for where I was visiting. Familiar territory as I used to live just round the corner! Staff were very helpful and tolerant of a silly old lady who couldn't find her room and then couldn't unlock the door. Room was clean and comfortable and had all the necessary comforts (tea & coffee making facilities in the room and a TV.) Breakfast was included and was excellent - great choice.
Too many stairs - I'm currently living in a bungalow and do not do stairs very easily.
