Quiet location. Fridge & microwave in a room
Out of date bathroom with ancient tiles and very old patched bathtub. The cold water tab was not working so I had to fill basin and splash myself from it. the breakfast time is limited to one hour 7.30 to 8.30 and you have to walk across the road to a pub which wouldn't have been a problem for me personally but may not be ideal for family with small children.
Good breakfast fascilities.
Too noisy in the room from adjoining rooms.Power went off several times. Towels didn't get changed one day.
clean, comfy, good and friendly staff, basic continental breakfast. good facility in room like tv,microwave, kettle, fridge, cutlery, mugs, teabags, coffee,
wish rooms had door stoppers or door wedges .
The facilities that were in the room.
The mould in the bathroom, out dated and the cold tap didn't work!
Comfy bed. TV. Microwave and a fridge. Quiet location. Free car park.
In the bathroom there was a hot water ONLY. Literally BOILING WATER. I prefer slightly cooler. It's tricky to have a shower. The bathroom was gross.
Such friendly & helpful staff- they couldn't do enough for us!
Facilities could do with some updating.
Made very welcome by friendly staff. Well equipped room good value for money.Breakfast included made good start to the day.
Bed a wee bit hard for my liking.
Good breakfast Clean room Very quiet location
The Admiral Cunningham is an old building, consequently a lot of internal noise, ie noisy floorboards wherever you walked.
The room was nice, the staff were lovely, the choice of breakfast was good, the house was nice.
The shower had little power, when it came to the night the room felt damp (all bedding etc) we came in a big group everyone had tea coffee and biscuits we didn't get the biscuits :(
Only plus is the bed sheets were clean and crisp.
Got there, had to phone to get in. Had to go to another place for info to be told we had been changed to somewhere else. Got there, room key left under door mat. On a busy road so sleep was nearly impossible. Stained carpets in room. Only staff we saw was person who served breakfast. Would not reccomend staying here.
It was a very nice room we had but the Bath needed a clean otherwise superb
Cheap, got what you paid for, cant complain as it's was some where just to sleep and nothing else Microwave in room Fridge in room Bathroom quite big, expected something quite pokey with it saying just shower room
Having to leave shower to run for over 5 minutes to get hot water to come through. Wifi struggles after room 8, they need to put the router more central or boost it, it was near the front door, ok it your in rooms 1 to 6 Cupboard and worktop not attached to wall in the room we stayed in, could be a hazard with small children
Smelled of paint insufficient parking cheap as chips breakfast ingredients - no wonder contractors die young
Rooms clean & quiet good food
The food provided for the breakfast was very good and had plenty of choice. The guest house is good value for the cost and is fine for one night.
The photograph is of Admiral Cunningham pub and not the guest house. On arrival we had to telephone a pub and we were told to walk to this to pay and collect the keys. The rooms could do with updating but are ok for the money charged. The bathroom extract did not appear to be working, there was a crack in the basin, the light over the basin did not work and there was no shelf to store toiletries, the shower had no pressure and only one showe cubicle worked. The door handles had made holes in the walls due to lack of door stops. The room was dark and the lights had to be on during the day time. The fridge was out of level. The dining room provided no where for used crockery which meant it was left on the tables after use and had to be cleared by guests arriving later for breakfast. A member of staff did arrive about 9.30 to clear away etc. We feel that the owners should make more of an effort to have someone there at or during the breakfast time.
quiet breakfast good
small rooms walk across the road for breakfast
The friendly atmosphere nothing was too much trouble.
Loft room too hot and ceiling low above bed.
Very friendly lady at reception in main Inn. Use of fridge and microwave in the bedroom.
No Wifi in room even when connecting using the password provided. Hot water in shower remained too hot even after adjusting tap controls.
location convenient for me
small, outdated, scruffy room and dining room. Needs updating
When 8 people descend on a friend its not possible to all stay with him, the Admirals Inn was exactly what we needed for this purpose. Clean and Tidy, and the free wifi was a bonus. Will definitely use this place again
Quiet location, Clean bedrooms & facilities. Very good breakfast! Location.
Difficult to work out the relationship of Guest House to the Admirals Inn! The Inn was difficult to locate hidden behind the Community Centre! A direction board/notice pointing to the Inn from the Guest House would have been helpful.
location was good for this particular visit, basic but clean, didn't have breakfast so cant comment on that
shower wasn't brilliant and the bathroom could do with updating, along with the bedroom, also the picture you see on the advert is of the hotel which is linked to the guest house and not literally it is a 5 min walk away!
Cleanliness of hotel warm friendly staff
Breakfast could improve
Nice sized room and a fresh continental breakfast.
No staff on site.
It was good that you could get a very reasonable priced meal in the hotel opposite.
