Staff were very friendly and a great help,we had 2 group rooms 1 which 1 on the top floor was fine lots of room and 4 single beds, 2 mirrors, beds were decent enough
The 2nd group of girls had a room on bottom floor which wasn't as great, huge crack up the wall and got very hot in there when 4 girls tryin 2 get ready tv signal really bad
Friendly staff.... Nice breakfast
Old fashioned and dated decor
clean and good wifi friendly staff
Creaking floorboards - noise from rooms full of young lads on the floor above from about 2:30am till 4:30am, having to walk round dining tables with people eating to get to stairs to get to the rooms (no lift) or back to reception or car park.
Free wifi Close to venue we were attending
Very dated decor, not enough outlets, very noisy. Woken by loud group at 2.30am, at 3.30 called desk to complain. As no-one climbed the stairs, knocked on group's door & noise continued for a further hour, assume staff couldn't be bothered. Cold room, heating off, no double glazing, no blanket in room. Told breakfast was served til 9.30am, the noisy group were just being served at 10.15, as we were leaving. Double standards, disruptive guests treated better than quiet, respectful ones.
The owner was friendly and had good local knowledge
The room needed updated and everything was a bit tired and old
staff very friendly Good breakfast Good wifi Good location
Just old and needs updating. ok for what I wanted but would not take my wife there.
it makes noise when somebody walks
The staff were very friendly and were interested in looking after you if you needed it. Can't fault the wifi, as it was available everywhere. It was handy to have a restaurant on site and although I didn't eat everyday throughout my stay, the menu appeared to have a wide selection and the meal I had was cookwd freshed and tasted lovely.
The place could do with some tlc as the whole hotel looks really worn out. As much as the place was kept clean the old decorations and furniture made the place look scruffy. Also, through no fault of their own, the local construction workers made sleep difficult but double glazing would have helped this.
Staff that we met were friendly and helpful.
Very dated and shabby :(
Last decorated/furnished in 1970's, dusty, decrepit. Water leaking through the roof at breakfast. The worst breakfast I've ever had in a hotel. Truly inedible 2p/go sausages.
Shower & bathroom cramped
Everything was amazing the staff were perfect, location was great and we were even greeted with a compliment bottle of wine!
The hotel was beautiful and clean although I think a change is decor would help!
The greetings by the staff and their friendliness
Carpets worn poor. Decor In a poor state in the bedrooms Hotel was stated as being full but it was apparent that it was quiet . Wi Fi poor
Value for money Really good food, and plenty of it Excellent hosts Prefect location
A bit noisy when other guests come late at night
the visit was really for a stag weekend and for the price it's hard to complain. you are getting what you pay for. They were friendly but the hotel could do with a makeover.
beds weren't very comfortable and one room had a leaky roof, they did refund that guest though which was fair.
George who runs the place is wonderful. Decent breakfast for under £6!
Rooms a little run down but clean. It's an old place.
not much, exept sat desk cleak was most helpful
decoration very poor, place needs good clean and redecoration it is at least 30 years out of date, Food was very poor, had been cooked and kept hot and was almost inedible. poor standard all round, would never use again.
The only staff member I met was George, a warm and friendly person. The hotel appears unchanged since the late 1970s – a nostalgic alternative to the usual corporate budget accommodation.
Dining room area was clean and tidy, staff friendly and breakfast ok.
Single room was very small, en suite even smaller and very poorly decorated and dirty.
The staff were lovely, they went out of their way to help. The food was good.
The hotel is in need of decorating and new carpets, and I would prefer a duvet to blankets on the bed.
the breakfast was good
the bathroom ceiling was dirty and the room was very basic
Parking was wonderful. The Breakfast was ok, not great but ok. The beds were ok. Their wasn't anything spectacular about our location.
Service was very poor.
Staff were very friendly and good location, good for price
Out of date and downstairs didn't smell great
The owners miki and George were very hospitable and helpful. The food was excellent - good home cooked meals. A family friendly place to stay.
Staff were brilliant
Windows left open before arrival so very cold
