All pretty fair really , great breakfast !!!
Wanted to book the room for a later checkout on the Sunday but was told the hotel closed at 2 !!! Never come across this before !
The staff were unbelievably friendly and helpful, the room was perfect and everything was spotless. The breakfast served in the morning was great and the location was brilliant. We will definitely be staying here again and will recommend to friends and family
The only thing was the parking; there wasn't a parking lot therefore we had to park in the beach car park a couple hundred yards down to the road. This wasn't an issue because it was free parking, so not a massive issue at all!
Hotel rooms are dated, could do with a refurbishment. Our room was at the front of the hotel on the main road. there was no double glazing and there was traffic noise during the night which disturbed our sleep.
Staff were lovely and great location.
You can hear the person in the next room going to the loo and splish splashing in the bath as if they are next to you, you could drown out the noise with the TV but there was no TV on the sat night as no signal.
The gentleman who owned the hotel was away with his wife and his mum and dad were looking after the place. They were so friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The hotel was warm, clean and comfy and the breakfast was superb. It was an ideal spot and great value for money. We will definitely be going back.
Absolutely everything! this is our second stay at The Albany and I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Tenby.
close to centre good price
Bit noisy during the night
staff was really friendly couldn"t do enough for you , rooms were clean and tidy , hotel is old but really liked it enjoyed the breakfast too thank you all would go back again
poor decor in bedrooms
V. Friendly staff.
Mould in the bathroom
My feelings towards the Albany are mixed. They do a lot right and there is room for improvement. The staff are brilliant - helpful, cheerful and friendly. Cannot fault at all. The bedding was beautifully clean and the bed looked lovely with all the cushions. Good wifi in the lounge area. Good location - close to town centre
The Bath needs a good deep clean with strong detergent and a scrubby. The bed was a little hard although massive as two beds pushed together. There was a gap in the window frame which made the traffic noise noticeable during the night. The loud music audible in the room (room 4). What era was that - 40s? 50s? Not good. The wifi didn't work in the room - didn't fancy joining the aged coach tour in the lounge for work during the evening (they wouldn't have appreciated my pyjamas, either). The breakfast - maybe I was unlucky but it was like the cast of Cocoon were all clamouring as breakfast is served between 8 and 9. I didn't like having to ask for the buffet items - a cross between served and self serve - are the sausages counted out so you get the portion the server decides? Also, with a 5 hour drive home 8 is late for most business travellers. Would I stay again? If I was visiting for leisure with my husband I would consider another stay but I don't think this hotel is geared up for business travellers. Looked like the old folk were enjoying their trip, though, so maybe worth coming back in another 30 years or so..
The staff were very polite and very helpfull it's well situated and we love tenby but have limited funds so this hotel suits us
It is dated but for the price we paid it was good value for money could do with sorting out a few issues with some of the rooms but hey ho as I said for the price it was good
Hotel was close to the town, room was fine, breakfast excellent; hotel owner very helpful when I had to arrive late due to last minute hiccup; cannot find a fault!
The staff were really friendly. The breakfast was lovely and filling.
The bar was closed while we were staying. The room wasn't entirely that clean but was ok just for one night.
Like I say, location was ideal as very close to the north beach. The gentleman was very kind and helpful, and changed the mattress for us.
The bedding was clean, but that's about it. The mattress was extremely lumpy, could feel the springs even when lying on top of the duvet. Cleanliness is not The Albany's strong point - a damp cloth wiped around the window sills/frames and skirting boards would very easily improve things. The room smelled musty so had to keep the window open overnight. I don't even want to think about the state of the loo brush! The walls were very thin and we could hear the other residents' conversations in the adjacent room to the point where we felt like we could join in! The funniest thing was that when people were moving around in the next room, the loose wallpaper was making slapping noises.
Staff were very friendly and welcoming, hotel has good facilities and only a short walk from the centre
Rooms although clean are very dated and tired, needs refurbing
Nice owners,and a good breakfast.
A disturbance by the hotel entrance in the early hours, spoiled a good nights sleep. No explanation or apology was offered next morning.
Staff were amazing. Got up at 4am to cook us breakfast pre ironman, and then stood outside all day cheering us all on.
The rooms are simple but have everything you need
Very lovely staff on hand for anything and made my ironman weekend a one to remember
every thing about the hotel and staff
The staff and food
staff very warm food very good
Friendly staff and close to the town.Very clean and good quality well cooked breakfast. Very good value for money.
The room was very clean but poorly finished, newly decorated by a real bodger . The plumbing was not good [ water coming up plughole in bath when using the sink and you could have a bath at the same time as having a shower! ] , but then this is a very old building with adapted plumbing . The other rooms looked much better - guess we pulled the short straw!
friendly and helpful staff clean plus a really good breakfast
