The Albany Hotel  

The staff and owner were very very friendly and very helpful, they could not do enough for us. The room and the bedding was clean. The hotel was close to the beach and the shops and pubs which ment we coulld have a few drinks and not worry about driving.

The hotel is very old and needs a few things doing to it, the lock on the room door was a bit dodgy and the door was a bit drafty so was the windows luckily it's the summer and not the winter. The water sytem in the room was very noisy, whenever anyone used water in the next or above rooms you coud hear it, the shower was hanging off and difficult to turn on we had to use the shower to fill the bath because the taps didnt work, also there was a hole in the floorboards around the back of the toilet which was cut to instal the sani flow system and there was a strange smell comming from it. It's a real shame that the bathroom was a state, a few hundred pounds spent on it and it would make all the difference. But if you can put up with a crappy bathroom and noisy plumbing this hotel is ok, the helpful and happy staff make up for the sad bathroom.

As our stay was for one night only, I have no immediate impressions of the hotel, except the breakfast, which was excellent, very tasty and very good value for money.

Freindly staff, nice roomy bar and breakfast area.

We were booked into room four which was a nice room, but the constant noise from the traffic kept us both awake most of the night. This room could be improved with secondry glazing to take away some of the traffic noise. We were offered another room (room three to the rear) this was a much quieter room. We would like to thank your staff for there help in allocating us this room, we could not of stayed another night in room four with respect to the traffic noise!

Friendly and helpful staff, breakfast buffet style very helpful staff on hand, Dining room and bar very clean and smart, bar with games room. Ideal location for shops and beach, and views.

I have stayed at The Albany previously which prompted me to book this time. It's very clean, comfortable and quiet. Has everything we need for just a short break. Very friendly staff and we will stay again

An old building with character, gradually being up dated by the current owners, a lovely welcome from family. Will go back very good value for money excellent food.

The room was nice nice, had all facilities, enough space, very clean and the hotel staff was absolutely great. The position of the hotel is perfect, two minutes walk to the city center.

The decoration is clean and new but they could do with finishing off the edges of the wall paper and tiny things like that

Quite run down, in need of refurbishment. Poor, dated bathroom and uncomfortable bed.

Central location. Cheerful and freindly staff..Quirky building. Huge room. Absolute cleanliness throughout.
