The location of the hotel was ideal if you only wanted to attend Tenby's attractions.
i did not like the parking as you had to be up before nine every morning to pay for the daily.
Staff were great really friendly and breakfast was lovely
Staff couldn't do enough for us during our stay. Very welcoming :-)
As on main road can hear traffic
Staff very friendly and welcoming..food excellent..beds clean and comfortable..great location for town
Bedrooms and very dated and need an upgrade
location good room clean and tidy breakfast really nice
lack of parking
Hotel room, bit run down.
Really attentive but relaxed staff, great to have vegetarian sausages available and the staff remembered these sorts of special requirements and brought them automatically after the first day breakfast is really good - because everything there is stuff you want to eat (ie nothing overly 'continental') and everything is well cooked, even down to the toast. It's a buffet but hot items are served to you by a chef, so they're cooked and replenished frequently which is probably why it's so nice. coffee is really good too. Room was well furnished with plenty of storage, but no unnecessary furniture to take up space. spare pillows in wardrobe lively hotel, varied entertainment was on when we went in August, but equally
some paint flaking from walls some windows don't open so can be difficult to get a breeze during unexpectedly warm days
Location staff value for money
Choice of beer. Noise outside and inside through the night.
The personal attention given by the owner management
On arrival the staff were excellent, our room wasn't ready as we were quite early but they gave us the key & took our bags up for us when it was so we didn't have to return until we were ready which was very convenient. The room was clean & the breakfast staff we're very friendly & the food was nice!
Down side, was the bedroom door didn't close properly unless locked from either side as it didn't sit square in the frame, one bath tap & shower tap were missing & the bathroom could've done with re grouting & they seriously could do with air con in the rooms. We got in just before midnight so were unable to ask for a fan & I had the worst nights sleep ever. The weather can't be helped but maybe a fan in each room as standard would've been great.
SUCH Polite staff, spotless rooms, comfy beyond belief, great location and and good value.
The location is good being on the main top North Beach road but no views of the sea. Parking was a little way from the hotel so no that good for the infirm. Cheap and okay for the money.
Noise all night long from a boiler or something from behind the wall in the bathroom. Scorching hot day but you couldn't turn off the heated towel rail made the room so so very hot and uncomfortable.
I found the owner couldn't do enough for the guests.very polite and hard working.the breakfast is a must!my room was very comfortable with a great bath and lots of hot water!excellent value and will be using again
the only thing I can think of and if im being totally honest is the lack of a car park but,i had no problems parking down the side of hotel the first night and in the public car park the second night.this,of course is not the owners fault and it is a very minor thing
The staff are so friendly and helpful they were the highlight of the stay , they had a really nice garden area to relax in before going out in the night , and the breakfast was lovely with a good choice , would stay here again
I thought the bed was very uncomfortable and the bathroom wasn't very appealing but I could be just very picky
The owners were brilliant at welcoming their guests and ensuring a great stay
The bathrooms need an upgrade
Me and my partner visited this hotel and we're a young couple in our mid 20's, when we arrived we were told there was a coach party and advised to come later to breakfast to avoid the coach party, when we went down in the morning they had a table reserved for us and we were able to enjoy an excellent breakfast in quiet, we felt like we were looked after and the staff were very friendly and accommodating, the hotel is clean and in a good location close to the high street and beach, we would happily return in future, excellent value for money, a very enjoyable stay.
Our room was a bit noisy with what sounded like water pipes in the wall, but this doesn't really matter as we spent hardly any time in our room.
The staff at this hotel where very helpful and friendly, they could not do enough for you. The rooms where big and we had a sitting area, a kingsized bed and a bathroom with both bath and shower, the location was excellent also
The cleaniness off the hotel, in our room the cieling had cobwebs everywhere, the Chest off draws where sticky and when walking down the stairs off the hotel the banister was black with dust, i think with a good clean and a lick off paint this hotel Would be excellent
A really warm welcome from the hosts, and a good place to relax before and after the Wales Marathon which began and ended in Tenby. A nice bath in the bathroom to ease the aching muscles immediately after the run. Also, as I had an early train on the day of departure, I was given a packed breakfast as I left. It's the nice touches like this which helped so much. Many thanks.
A slight down point was that as the room was a bit compact, I found it easiest to lie on the bed the wrong way if I wanted to watch TV, but this is by no means a major criticism.
a warm welcome, very helpful, a great breakfast, great location
a comfier bed mattress would have been nice
location was excellent.
Hotel was looking a bit tired but could be made very nice.
brilliant staff comfy room lovely breakfast close to town centre
Friendly staff, good breakfast.
Very noisey tiolet plumbing, when guests in nearby rooms flushed. Walls thin and could hear people talking in adjacent rooms.
the room was grubby, it seemed that because the place is old and dated then you cant really get a spotless clean of the room. the toilet didn't flush properly. the windows opened onto a flat roof with a view of a ladder and the other windows so we didn't feel happy about opening the window and therefore the room was hot and stuffy. it was very noisy during the night with people coming back from nights out and this was because as they walked past our room the radiator shook and banged from the vibrations as they walked along the passageway. the bed was exceptionally uncomfortable and was 2 singles put together so we could feel the join in the middle. the breakfast in the morning was cold and greasy with runny scrambled egg and not freshly cooked as it was sat under hot lamps but as breakfast was served from 8am-9.30am and we didn't come down until 9am there was no telling how long the food had been sitting there and was not happy we had to stand at toaster and do our own toast it should be made in the kitchen by the staff who should have food hygiene certificates if the guests are doing their own toast they are all touching the bread and the toaster controls and could be carrying bugs!
Decent location, big room , good breakfast , friendly staff ,nice sitting area at the rear.
Could do with updating.Small tv's in rooms without fridge
Gorgeous buffet breakfast
The windows wouldn't open
