Everything 10 out of 10
Breakfast was delicious. Local shops nice area. Owner very friendly and helpful.
although I choose the single room witn no ensuite it got very hot and opening the window the road was constantly noisy.
everything is good but the wifi link seem not very strong
Would recommend to anyone. Great location and really modern and clean inside. Very friendly staff, great value and a smashing breakfast
comfortable - very clean. very welcoming. excellent breakfast. Certainly make another visit early next year .
parking a problem
Lovely welcome, great breakfast including gluten free bread which was just going that extra yard for me. Clean and homely and felt like nothing was too much bother. Lovely morning walk into town but would take a cab or bus on arrival as its all uphill.
No way to get fresh air into the room as both windows were locked shut. So I didn't sleep very well. Cafetiere in the room but instant coffee was all to be had & not grains as you would put into a cafetiere.
Nice room and good sized en-suite. Surprisingly quiet at night considering the busy location. Handy for local shops and restaurants. Easy access to main roads but close to water front and main city.
parking can be difficult.
A warm welcome. Excellent bedroom with all the extras you could possibly imagine - even a bath robe. Scrupulously clean. The breakfast was very comprehensive, well presented and delicious. I enjoyed my short stay. The Alexander is on a good bus route - perfect way to get around Swansea.
I cannot think of anything negative to add.
The bed was very comfy and the breakfast was really good! The staff are very very warm welcoming and the facilities provided was as described and also to a very high standard. It was very good for the price the room was at also. I'll be sure to recommend this B+B to friends and family hoping to stay at Swansea.
I found it difficult to use the WiFi through my phone as it could connect but said it couldn't "authenticate" and thus was unusable. In the end i didn't use it for the majority of the stay. The pillow was also quite hard and lumpy and it made sleeping a bit difficult.
The room was clean and the bathroom was in excellent condition, given it was a shared bathroom.
The bed was lumpy and the wall creaked loudly and regularly, which kept me awake.
Friendly owners, excellent breakfast! Good value for money.
Nothing to dislike.
The owners, easy parking and in a good position
The attention to detail was superb and the level of service was excellent. Great location indeed. Great breakfast and comfortable room.
The accommodation in two of the three rooms was faultless, they were comfortable, well stocked with tea and coffee, although we didn't use them. the shower was hot and powerful. breakfast was well timed and very good, with plenty tea and toast. we were a party of six males travelling to watch football and socialise, so the location was important. £5 by taxi to the centre of the city. The staff were friendly and very helpful, I had to change the booking arrangements several times, and it appeared to be no trouble to them.
Room 7, was disappointing, it was very small, and not on suite. Fortunately the person in that room, wasn't a complainer, it could have been so different if one of our usual company had been there. Nevertheless, it did not spoil a very enjoyable stay, and we will stay again if they let us. could have done with more keys.
breakfast was excellent, room was comfortable, few restaurants and grocery stores nearby
parking on the street was a bit of a challenge, noisy neighbours, stairs
The location, hospitality, facilities, warmth...........everything. The couple are amazing and leave no stone unturned to ensure The most comfortable stay at The Alexander. Would strongly recommend people to stay here.
Nothing that I didn't like at The Alexander.
The welcoming nature of the proprietor and his hospitality. Location, breakfast were both amazing!
A positive experience with a friendly welcome. I believe the owner greeted us and he then helped in changing the room to a more appropriate set up for us.
nice and clean room clean bathroom very friendly and helpful host ideal spot if you want to visit Swansea University by foot
The room was clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and gave me a lot of good advice to look around. Breakfast was delicious.
Fabulous location and friendly helpful staff offered a homely welcoming experience
The shower wasn't very good and the house would have benefited from some up to date bus timetables and some maps for people to use.
Very nice place especially it was very close to bus station for city centre and also from the seaside as well as from train station using day saver bus ticket and bus no.20, 21
Warm welcome and excellent breakfast. Very friendly and helpful host and staff.
Proprietor was friendly. Breakfast was excellent. Proprietor was helpful. Not too expensive. Wifi worked everywhere. All rooms clean. Real ground coffee in the bedroom.
Small room. Bed squeaked. Only one electric socket.
Arriving at the Alexander, I felt really welcome. The room was big and cosy. The style of the hotel might be qualified as outdated, but everything is in good shape and clean. Breakfast was delicious and fresh made (perfect and cheerful service)! Much better than most of the standard big chain hotels. I will definitely try to come back to the Alexander when in Swansea.
