The proximity of the station for trains from central London. Friendly staff, brilliant atmosphere in the bar in the evening followed by an excellent meal in the restaurant, booking advisable. Breakfast fresh and plentiful and cooked to order.
Could do with a lift for the upper floors.
Lovely location and top-notch staff. A beautiful place and excellent food round out a very pleasurable stay. I plan to make The Alma my new home when I'm in the city.
Easy to access the train station, pub and restaurant are fantastic, room is great!
Nothing to dislike actually
The room was excellent, high quality and very comfortable
When you first step out from the train station you gain the wrong impression as after a long journey you think you are staying at a noisy pub.
Great location and a perfect informal place to stay for business travellers
It's a somewhat out of the way location, but a charming modernization of a classic English pub. The rooms are very clean and modern, the staff is excellent in providing help and support. The breakfasts are great and the train/tube station is right across the street. By bus it's about a 20 minute ride from the Alma to Victoria station in the heart of London. A great experience.
Not a thing.
Nice and clean hotel. Rooms have an adequate size. No noise from street or pub below. Breakfast is good. Friendly staff
About 25 minutes walk from nearest Underground Station bur good connection by bus to Victoria Station. Hotel is far away from everything. Given the remote location its rather pricy.
- brilliant food and restaurant - Nice pub attached to the hotel - good size room - great wifi - helpful and friendly hotel staff
- location wasn't ideal for me as I was travelling into Central London each morning. This took some time, around 40 minutes.
I couldn't turn the heating off so didn't get any sleep and the windows could only open about 3 inches because scaffolding was in the way.
This hotel was a real treat and expect to stay there every time we go to London. The interior design was upscale, the bathroom was huge with a bath tub and a shower stall. All of the staff were polite and friendly. We really liked the accompanying pub. It is located in residential area, and there is little grocery store and a dry cleaner on the street.
It was a bit far from the town but a train station immediately across the street and the bus stop was only a couple of doors down.
Location, quality and facilties The room was silent and incredibly well sound insulated I was amazed there was zero noise from the train track or attached bar
Had an issue with the WiFI but it wasnt a major hassle and quite possibly my fault.
Location opposite overground station is great and the comfort level is amazing.
breakfast was great,
bathroom cold and no flannel, no pen/pencil for breakfast card first night - no breakfast card on second night. No view at all - courtyard, room a little dingy,
Super comfortable rooms awesome restaurant and Bar Amazing staff
Tv is a little small
Well furnished spacious bedroom and bathroom; good restaurant; nice atmosphere; friendly staff; very convenient for station
Staff seemed a little too anxious to ensure I checked out promptly, but that was only a minor irritation
We loved our stay at The Alma Hotel! The rooms were very nice, the restaurant was great, and the area was very quaint. Next time we come to London, we'll stay here again.
It's different - not the same as every other hotel. The staff were very friendly and funny too. A great room. Quiet although in a bustling neighbourhood. Free street parking at weekends. Great choice at breakfast.
The room charge increases as the availability decreases!
I've drank and eaten at the alma a lot over the years, but recently have moved away from the area and decided to try their rooms out. I was really impressed and I'll definitely be back.
We thought the room was a good size, with all the facilities you would expect in a hotel of this standard. Lovely coffee in the room. Good quality food in the restaurant with excellent service. Really good breakfast in the morning with friendly staff. Good boozer as well.
Just a minor gripe about the price of an item of food in the restaurant. £7.25 for a slice of Cheesecake, that was, to put it mildly, tiny! Basically, about £1.50 a spoonful. Otherwise, all positive.
Food was good and cleanliness of room
Wifi was sporadic
Just over the road from Wandsworth Town railway station for very easy commute to London tourist attractions. No noise from trains or the Victorian character pub below. Very clean; well-serviced; excellent breakfast; and a short stroll to supermarket and other eateries. We absolutely loved our stay here.
Had problems connecting i-pad to wi-fi the first day. Was sorted by providing a Youngs backup connection which worked well, but signal was only consistent when sitting at the desk in our room (dropped out when sitting on bed)
Comfortable room and convenient for railway station. Excellent breakfast.
i love this hotel. everything is suitable for me. room size, dining style, joyful pub. very quiet, clean. Wish I could use washing machine cause I stayed several days and I like to wash clothes by myself. a bit far from the centre of London, but nice to be in front of railway station. there are some cozy cafés around this hotel, too.
