The location to winter gardens, beach and the tower. Friendly and helpful hotel owner. Family friendly hotel. The room was a bit small for 4 people. The hotel would benefit from a little TLC. However I would stay again.

The owners were very hands on and made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived. The B&B's location was perfect as it was only a short walk (less than 5 min) to the north pier and beach front. The owners were extremely helpful. Unfortunately there was no kitchen as they were undergoing a refurbishment so there was no breakfast although they did offer vouchers for the cafe below. Parking was difficult as they didn't have their own car park but there were ample of spaces in the three car parks surrounding just had to time it right. All in all a fab stay.

Friendly welcome (we arrived very late but were welcomed in a friendly manner). The view from our room was excellent! In spite of the more negative comments below we enjoyed our stay and will certainly visit again. The Aloha is in the middle of being renovated - and it shows. When it is completed it will be an excellent venue for holiday makers. The bed desperately needs updating or better still replaceing as does the room furniture. The shared toilet was a distinct disadvantage, especially as we are both diabetic and need frequent trips to the toilet during the night. The bar will be much better once complete.

we liked that it was a family run hotel, which they made us feel really welcome , esp as we have two large breed dog's and they didn't want any extra charge for them, we had a lovely sea view bedroom, which my little girl liked as she could sit on the top bunk and watch the light's and tram's go past, we all really liked our stay at Aloha's b&b, and when we come down again will be staying there again, thanks to Alan and Kirsty for a great time.

Perfect if you want somewhere cheap to get your head down for a lads weekend I would not allow my family to stay in these conditions, had to use vouchers round the corner for breakfast, claims to be family only hotel but I think they should be aiming for cheap basic weekends with the cleanliness of it

What I enjoyed about this hotel, is, Okay, it is not The Ritz, but by no means does is pretend to be and the location was in a prime North Shore location which is great for the cheaper bars and nightclubs. The premise itself was comfortable and easy to locate. Alex and Kirsty the proprietors were polite, professional and full of knowledge of events in the area so all in all, a brilliant stay for the budgeter. Like me.

The best thing about The Aloha Bed and Breakfast was the lovely people who own it, they made my daughter and myself feel very comfortable and welcome. As a single parent I was so pleased that I chose the Aloha as we were made to feel so special from the first moment that we stepped into the hotel to the moment we left and we cannot wait to return next year.

There was nothing i liked about this hotel did not enjoy being in he Hotel at all - it was dirty and uncomfortable, in need of considerable refurbishment, Extremely dirty carpets, and any repairs that had been made were not done to a good standard, decor shabby and dirty, holes in skirting board, wallpaper coming off and mattress was still in original plastic. family room was no better, Dirty thread bear carpet, shower room had no door. NOT A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE

The male who dealt with us throughout our stay was welcoming and friendly... Apart from that the hotel was a let down. The pictures on the website was not what we got when we arrived... The carpet grips were shown in our too ..the sink had toothpaste all over it, must have been from previous residents ... The bed had a wooden board under the mattress and over all the full place looked dirty and needed decorated... Was not worth the money... We actually left a night early as wee couldn't face sleeping another night in it! The staff were friendly... That's was the only positive thing about the hotel.

Although not the 'Ritz' ... I found the Aloha to be a most welcoming place to stay. The owners made the kids very welcome, the room & beds were clean .. the ideal weekend stopover for me. Would easily recommend to anyone wanting a good budget B&B for the weekend or longer..
