The Ambers Gatwick

Lo staff, il propietario, l'atmosfera familiare,cordiale e la disponibilità sempre!! Il prezzo era economico rispetto ad altri hotel quindi il posto era carino ma semplice con solo lo stretto necessario, ma io ci sono stata molto bene ci tornerei a lo consiglio vivamente!!!!!

La vicinanza all'aeroporto. La dimensione familiare, la pulizia e l'accoglienza, l'ottima colazione la mattina al risveglio.

Camera confortevole anche se di piccole dimensioni. Proprietario molto gentile.

Si fa prima a dire le uniche cose decenti: la pulizia, la colazione, e qualche biscottino in camera. Proprietario gentile.

Per il resto: camera minuscola, a piano terra, senza una sedia, un armadio (solo una specie di carrello in metallo), un comodino. Puzza di muffa e ragnatele alle pareti. Finestra che dà sulla strada: con il tendone aperto tutti vedono tutto. Col tendone chiuso occorre accendere la luce anche di giorno. Letto molle. Due orologi entrambi fermi. Bagno nel quale è possibile entrare (peso 60kg), ma non asciugarsi, viste le dimensioni. Assenza di una presa in bagno (barba fatta in qualche modo in stanza!, ed idem per l’asciugatura dei capelli). Minuscolo lavello senza possibilità di miscelare acqua calda e fredda. Wc rumorosissimo, in quanto chimico. Neanche uno shampoo (solo una saponettina). Struttura pure scricchiolante. Consiglio: allo stesso prezzo si può andare all’Ibis dell’aereoporto, o al Premier Inn di Redhill: strutture che non hanno paragoni (oltretutto con possibilità di fare colazione anche molto presto al mattino). At same rate you can book an hotel or B&B in the area much, much, much better

It was close to the airport where we were flying out. The breakfast in the morning was big and good variety. The candy in our room was tasty! We found the staff very helpful.

The room was small for the three of us, but we fit.

Close to Gatwick airport

Owner stated that he would arrange for a Taxi for 6:30am the following morning to take us to the airport, we waited outside from 6:20am to 7:00am Taxi did not arrive.

An excellent experience from begining to end. Clive and the team look after me very well for my weeks stay. Thanks.

It was cheap, clean and comfortable and close to Gatwick. I just needed a place to stay overnight between flights. Best part was that Clive drove guests to the airport. He also picks up during the day time. Unfortunately I arrived quite late and had to get a taxi (£9) so it really does add to the value of the Ambers that Clive does the chauffeur service. There is no reception after 7pm but Clive explained to me over the phone and in a detailed email how to get after hours entry to the guesthouse so there was no problem.

As I was travelling to Las Vegas it was the perfect stop over for the Gatwick Airport. The place was clean comfortable good breakfast and friendly, what more could you ask for.

It is very convenient for the airport, excellent friendly service, very clean and convenient if the flight arrives in the night.

Clive, the host,runs a very efficient and friendly little ship. The location is ideal for Gatwick airport, and transfers were arranged bang on time. We left our car there (in the house's front car park) for a few days at a sensible price so were able to step out of Amber's own shuttle vehicle into own car and drive off straight away. There's a good selection of eateries within a few minutes walk/drive. Twice we dined at Ye Olde Six Bells, a delightful olde worlde pub/restaurant just 2 mins drive away.

Good location only 10 minutes from Gatwick Airport and within easy walking distance to restaurants in town of Horley. Speedy pick-up from the airport.

The room had a combination lock and the hallway was dimly lit so that it was impossible to read the numbers on the lock without a flashlight. It was also difficult to lock the room. The bathroom was very small and cramped.

Very comfortable and we enjoyed our one night stay before flying from Gatwick. Very welcoming and good breakfast.

Friendly prompt service,pleasant staff,although the room was small ,it provided all my needs and the great free breakfast and shuttle service were the icing on the cake. A ll in all a much more pleasant experience than the impersonal almosphere of a large and much more expensive hotel.

The size of my room and lack of tub bath but for one night I could live without these.

Excellent position near Gatwick Airport.

They are a guest house and not a hotel, so we can't expect the same comfort. That's alright for me if the prices are kept low as well. Instead we paid the price of a hotel while was lacking: a decent bathroom (= the narrow space of a lavatory with a shower cabin forced into it - no sockets ) - a decent wardrobe instead of a plastic thing to hang on your things - a decent welcome (it looked like a treasurehunt, envelopes with codes and indications everyhwere, but no owner, so we helped another guest to find it and almost did the job of a hotelkeeper) - no style (impossible to receive an official receipt for our payment, unless we wait until "Daddy is back").

The owner is a really nice person and ensures that you have everything you need. The complimentary pickups are a really welcome touch. Well done
