Hotel was amazing and very welcoming and everything was great when we were there. Booking.com however messed up our booking by suggesting that we have a double room with 2 adults and a 1 yr old. However when we got to the hotel we were told we had to stay in a deluxe room as the double rooms can't fit the cot in which are £100 extra. Booking.com just sent an apology email but this isn't really good enough when we have already travelled to the hotel. Luckily the hotel staff were very helpful
Staff were efficient, pleasant and engaging without being overbearing like can happen at some five star hotels. The place is beautifully decorated and food prices reasonable.
The room was quite hot and the fan wasn't overly efficient.
The location was very convenient and hotel very comfortable.
Very comfortable - stylish - excellent location
No mirror near a socket for hairdrying
Fantastic Location New
The basic room is definitely small, even for only a couple. The housekeeping just go to your room one time, if you are with do not disturb they do not come back or call you. Your room just stays dirty.
Hotel location & sense of quirky style, a bit more latitude that the big boring luxury hotels
Staff a little nondescript, hard to find at times
It was chic, clean and in a great location.
The room was smallish by American Hotel standards, but comfortable and nicely decorated, staff were friendly and helpful, and the location right across from the South Kensington Tube station makes it easy to get anywhere in London.
The shower spray was a little weird and sting-y.
Warm welcome and luxurious but not stuffy atmosphere. Quirky and stylish interior with an amazing feature staircase.
We liked everything
What a lovely hotel! Very friendly staff, very nice situated in the lovely surroundings of South Kensington, close to the tube and museums. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet, I think for a good price of £ 15 pp, including different coffees and fresh orange juice. Just everything was nice!
Modern decor with original works of art particularly those made from old maps. Largs shower. Quiet location or the building is well shielded from the noise.
Excellent service! Very good restaurant/lobby-bar. Clean and comfortable room and good tube connections.
Gym was a bit cramped
Stylish decor, easy walk to the Science museum, V&A, etc.
Beautifully decorated hotel throughout ! Free upgrade on arrival was very kind of the staff. The bedroom was again beautifully decorated and cow and the bed super comfortable. The decor in the bathroom and heated floor was also very nice ! Good location very close to the tube station and museums in walking distance ! Breakfast room is also pleasant !
staff, cleanliness of room and hotel, free extras in the room, location. would defo stay again
bath tub in our room made strange gurgling sounds through the night which disturbed us
Staff at reception were extemely helpful, friendly & approachable. Arrived 4hours prior to check-in but left our luggage at reception and we headed across the road for breakfast for an hour or so. Came back, we were able to check in and our bags had already been brought to our room. We opted for the deluxe room which was very spacious as far as London city centre hotels go. Spotless room with an immaculate bathroom. Great shower, bath robes and plenty of toiletries etc. Complimentary minibar in the room was an impressive touch. Best thing about this hotel is it's location. The South Kensington tube stop is a minute walk from the hotel. Great for getting from Heathrow on the Piccadilly line and also getting to all the tourist spots. Didn't eat in the hotel so cannot review on it. We ate out for breakfast every morning in Muriel's Kitchen, Cafe Floris and Pret. Within a few hundred metres there are a variety of restaurant choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Cannot fault this hotel. Perfect stay!
excellent location and tasteful interiors
staff can be a bit friendlier.
Cleanliness, decor, location, free minibar drinks.
The rooms, the staff, location, the ambience were all great. The cost whilst not cheap is reasonable, appropriate and yet good value for money but let's hope they do not get greedy Staying there again next week!
No in house up to date movies, poor selection of TV channels on Sky Need better free wi fi which is standard now in most UK hotels unlike the complete rip off in US and Australian ones where MacDonalds and Starbucks do it but hotels charge up to $35 per room per night when they use it for their own business purposes, the provider to the hotel charges a fraction of that and the Landmark London where I stayed recently with more than 150 rooms is making more than 4000 pounds PER NIGHT ripping of their clients! My room was cold and "could not be warmed up enough"! The in house basement restaurant is trendy, good food but was too rushed and again freezing cold with no heating and no double glazing etc for the middle of a typically standard cold London winter i.e nothing out of the ordinary
Bed Room size (superior) Location
A little pokey No views but in London there isn't much to see Porter offered to get keys cut for room but he just disappeared and left us in the dark (literally) as they lights switch off without a key.
location, decor, amenities, staff
noise from tube and buses, we recommend staying on floor 2 up or at the back of the hotel
the location is great .
its very close from the underground station so you can feel the trains passing all night (noisy) . very bad smell from the toilets and the rooms r small . no mirror in the room plus the coffee and tea mini bar is in the CLOSET .
Location , interior, comfort, cleanliness, and helpful staff
Small room and small bed
