Rooms are lush Staff very helpful and lovely
Helpfulness of staff. Peace and quiet. Good standard bedroom/shower.
No on site car parking.
Nicely furnished room and friendly staff.
We were made very welcome. Room was comfy and food was lovely.
We stayed for one night at The Anchor Inn and ate there on arrival too. Our room was neutrally decorated and beautifully clean and comfortable. Breakfast was made to order and the all staff were friendly and helpful. Our evening meal was also delicious and served quickly
Everything except wifi
Couldn't get Wifi in the room.
The bedroom had everything I needed and the bed was comfortable. I had an appetising tasty meal, a great pint of beer and a refreshing night's sleep.
The food in the restaurant was good, staff were friendly and the rooms were warm, cosy and spotlessly clean.
Tea at breakfast on the second day seemed as if it had been made in the coffee maker rather than boiling water!
The staff were friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome. The room was fresh, bright, clean and newly decorated and furnished. We had lunch and breakfast in the restaurant and both were good, tasty pub food. Really good value for money too.
The hosts were very attentive and made us feel most welcome. We did not eat at this accommodation as we had stopped of en route for a hearty lunch - but going down to the bar later the resturant was full.
there is a car park opposite, short stay, but if you stay on a Saturday you can park in there free overnight. This may be a problem if staying in the week?
Staff very friendly. Location very quiet, pub is up a side street that becomes a walkway so no through traffic
Pillows were a little soft. Parking is on a public car park just across from the hotel which in itself is not a problem but you need to pay from 8am to 6pm so guests need to pop out & pay for parking in the morning before having breakfast
The room was very clean and well kept. The bar was cosy and friendly. Breakfast was very good also, and very friendly staff.
The hotel does not have a car park, but there is a pay and dsiplay opposite which is free over night from 18:00 until 8:00. Dont forget to put a ticket on at 8:00 in the morning before breakfast.
Everything suited myself and my husband; and it was good value for money.
My sister was with us and found the stairs difficult.
Modern bedrooms and great pub meals. Log fire in bar. It doesn't look much from outside, but once you are upstairs it is a different world! Had a lovely supper, drinks and full breakfast all for under £100 for two!
Tricky to find - but I don't use satnav!
Very good impressed with the whole stay very good value staff and owners lovely would stay again
Central location / pub / rooms excellent - very comfortable and sufficient space - own key to get in on late arrival
small points - waitress got breakfasts mixed up - not enough tea spoons machine coffee not good - (basically all fine - very small moans !! )
Fab place very clean staff where lovely. Beautiful meal in the restaurant. Got up Saturday morning breakfast was 8 until 9 missed it by 20 mins when we went to book out they said if we wanted breakfast they would still make it for us
Nothing everything was great would stay here again
Well presented clean moden rooms . Very nice and welcoming staff would recommend
No on site parking
Comfy bed, warm room (it was a VERY cold night), clean facilities. Very friendly staff. Allowed my teenagers to bring in a take-away as the restaurant was closed. Good breakfast. And looked after daughter's soft toy until someone could come and get him!!
Paper bath mat - would prefer a fabric one.
A relaxing atmosphere and well managed establishment
Thoroughly excellent value for money.
Slight issue only-could not get wi-fi in bedroom. Although for one night didn't affect enjoyment of stay.
Very clean nice and helpful staff
Lack of on site parking however the staff directed us to a suitable place to park for free
Comfort, friendliness and excellent food.
We were made feel welcome right from the start. The room was comfortable, warm and spacious. The Christmas 'goodies' were an unexpected pleasure and everything was done to make our stay very pleasant. Breakfast was excellent and plenty of it! The landlord and landlady were extremely kind and helpful and we would recommend anyone to stay at this delightful pub. The central position is also a bonus.
Modern and clean, friendly service
