Clean and well presented room in a private area of the establishment. Good breakfast.
The shower room/toilet was very small was inadequate. You could only wash your hands in the basin and the water drained away. When sat on the toilet my shoulder touched the heated towel rail and my knees were 3" from the shower! With the door open I was behind it.
Restaurant Comfort of beds Excellent Shower Staff very helpful aand friendly Location
nice place, nice staff. Good restaurant (not my favorite kind of food, however..). The staff makes you fell part of a family. The town is small and very nice, i suggest to stop if you are passing by.
wifi not working in the room.. should be important to inform the guest. It is needed if somebody is there for work
I am only putting that the wi fi was 'poor' because I couldn't seem to connect to it and although the owners had written the password in the guest information, they hadn't put the wi-fi name ..... so of the 8 or so that appeared, I tried all of them but no joy. I'm sure the owners can sort this out quite easily and I wouldn't hesitate to go back as everything else was excellent.
This place is good.Staff very friendly and helpful.Downstairs there's a really cosy country style pub.Upstairs a different experience again, all newly furnished and spotlessly clean en-suite rooms with pristine bedding, linen, soaps etc. Tea and coffee making facilities and TV. The restaurant has a fantastic choice to suit anyone, the breakfast was great too. All with excellent service. Locals frequenting the bar and restaurant are a good sign that this place has got it right and deserves success. All these good reviews can't be wrong. We'll definitely be back.
Only staying one night.
Friendly, helpful staff Very clean and tidy Very good food with a wide menu Good value for money Accommodation modernised to a high standard
Hard pushed to find something to complain about
great place. We had a superb evening meal and the breakfasts were spot on.The rooms have been recently refurbished and are of a very high standard. The owners and staff were lovely. All in all I would recommend The Anchor.
Very clean and well equipped room. Friendly and helpful hosts. Simple, but good food served in the restaurant. Good breakfast included in price.
Small shower room. Breakfast only served until 9 on a sunday.
Brand new bedrooms, tastefully decorated. Comfy bed. Lovely pub, great choice of guests beers. Breakfast was 7/10 Staff were very friendly.
The noisiest snorers who were in the next door bedroom !!!! Guests trying to get thru the security door at 4a.m, banging and shouting. Only managed 2 hrs sleep !!
Very impressed with the whole aspect of the place. Very friendly greeting, stunning accommodation, great food in the restaurant and a fabulous breakfast to finish off. Would highly recommend the Anchor and will return.
Lovely room, excellent shower, comfy bed, really nice pub.
The fry up was well made but was massively impaired by what must have been the cheapest sausages in the supermarket. made me question their judgement in where they keep costs low.
Awesome staff and friendly locals too. Food was great and rooms were amazing. I'm not joking, this pub could show some of the big boys a thing or two about hospitality. Jason Hudson from Dyserth.
Nothing to dislike.
Helpful and welcoming people. Excellent standard of fixtures, fittings and furnishings all finished to a really high standard. Good food sensibly priced in the restaurant, good selection of ales and wines, and an excellent freshly cooked breakfast.
Creaky floorboards and thin walls meant we were woken at 6.20 by our neighbour. Also shame they appear to have sold off the pub carpark for a housing development so you have to be out at 08.00 to put a ticket on your car in the Municipal carpark opposite. But we would recommend the place and we would stay again
Service; quality of food; modern, well-appointed accommodation.
The cleanliness of the B&B is second to non. The bed was a queen size and extremely comfy. Staff are very welcoming and can't do enough to help you. Overall it is a fantastic little B&B and i would certainly recommend a visit if you are in the area.
Helpful staff Good food Very well maintained Good location Nice pub with good beer selection
Small bathroom (as is usual in Europe)
Spacious clean room and very comfy bed.
The decor was modern but didn't detract from the age of the building. The meal in the restaurant was beautiful. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We would recommend this hotel and it was a lovely stopover, easily reached on the way home to South Wales from the North.
We were happy with the ability to park (public car park right opposite) because of the time we arrived and it was free parking going into the Sunday but this might put some people off.
The rooms were modern, furnished well. A comfortable bed with good cotton bedding and soft towels. We only stayed one night and ate in the restaurant of the Inn. The food was lovely and the pub atmosphere was very friendly. Definately recommend.
This was a stopover for us en route elsewhere so not able to comment on town and location. The rooms were tasteful, modern and uncluttered but with everything needed. Staff were friendly and helpful and the meal in the bar in the evening was excellent. Have stayed in far more expensive places and received a lot less!
Nothing to dislike. .
Very friendly staff, nicely appointed rooms, super clean. Very good and would recommend.
Paper bath mats! Had requested a double room but was put into a twin. Check out at 10am felt early.
The hosts were extremely personable and friendly. Food at the restaurant was very good and the included full English breakfast was very nice. Service at all meals and the pub was cheerful and helpful.
Wifi did not reach our room on first floor. We went downstairs to the bar/lounge for wifi.
The room was clean, bright and very tastefully decorated, the bed was extremely comfortable Warm welcome by the owners, who kindly arranged taxis to and from our venue The restaurant had a varied menu which was excellent vaule for money and very tasty. Old Rosie Cider was particulary enjoyabel!!! a lovely venue, tucked away in a quiet spot but with easy access to the town centre. A fab place to stay.
