Water pressure in shower minimal such that it was difficult to wash off soap . Bed - mattress so old that the springs stick into your ribs -sleepless painful nights -need replacing.

We had a great stay , the room was lovely & spotlessly clean. The staff were lovely. we will happily stay again. There was a live band on saturday night....we thought they were really good & enjoyed the music. The cooked breakfast was absolutely fantastic.

Friendliness of the staff, breakfast was perfect, better than I've had in some so-called posh hotels, they even provided wheat free bread for me. I would definitely use this hotel again. The only downside was in the morning, being on the high street, every bus or lorry that went past sounded like it was in the room but, seeing as I needed to be up for breakfast, it was a sort of wake up alarm :-)

The Location, excellent if you want the station or are meeting friends in town. Handy having parking behind the pub. Friendly staff and lively bar. Bath and shower and water was hot. Room was cold, i had to use the extra duvet supplied, may have been due to the large room i was given.

The lady who cooked my breakfast Wilma was wonderful. I booked a room for 4 nights My business in Warminster ended early so I cancelled the last two night booking Although I gave more than 24 hour notice I was refused a full refund and offer 20 pounds. I feel cheated out of 80 pounds. They insised that I pay my whole 4 night bill on my arrival. This was very pour conduct by the Anchor Inn. Will warn my Defence colleges to avoid the Anchor Inn.

Very warm. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. I knew it would be above a pub but I hadn't realised that you would able to hear every word to every song. I bought DVDs to drown out the noise. The windows appeared to be single glazed so any traffic or drunken louts were also clearly heard.

The room was clean and well presented The pub bellow had loud music till midnight. The room was VERY hot - even with the radiator off and the window open I was still very warm - in December! The quality of the breakfast was poor.

Rooms were better than expected. The indian up the road excellent. Excellent choice if you want to party on a saturday night, like loud music and dont want to go to sleep early lol. Cant complain really, paid bargain price just rooms need more heating and dont get me wrong but its not nice having to walk through the smoke shelter listening to groups swearing there heads off. To go from the rooms to the pub.

Staff were very friendly, and the young waitress at breakfast was outstanding in her job.Breakfast was one of the best we have had with as much coffee, toast as we wanted...The hotel is on the main street, and in a exellent place for the town centre, and free parking.. Rooms needed a "update" and because it was on the main street it was VERY noisey at night,in our hotel it was free juke box,and across the road was a karioke night!!!!!!

The breakfast and the breakfast room staff. The room was appalling. Stark bare bulbs, patched up walls, horrible beds with insufficient bedding, terrible decor, noisy from the pub below, harsh lighting (ceiling light only) cold until I asked for the heating to be switched on. Cramped. Quite simply the worst hotel room I have ever stayed in after many years of travelling. The only positive side being that it was cheap.

Comfortable, great live music. Live music very loud but were warned of this by pleasant staff on arrival, so not suitable for family with young children at the week end.

Staff were friendly, room was ok, breakfast was very good Being a pub, we were warned that there would be noise/music in the room, we were also told when we got there that the jukebox would be turned of at 24.00 hre this was true but it was the noise that went on for quite a while after, people going up and down stairs chatting, not loud but enough to be noisy it could still be heard, and that was disturbing.

Nothing--it is a pit--room dirty, VERY noisey, as it is over a bar that stays open until midnight and plays VERY loud music--fighting in the street that went on for an hour about midnight--window would not close--dirty floor--dirty bathroom-- this bar/hotel should not be listed on Booking.com--see above

Easy to reach from the train station. Conveniently situated for all sorts of walks. Breakfast is okay, apart from the o-juice, which seemed to have been heavily diluted syrup. The room we stayed in had an ill-fitting sash-window with single glazing. It overlooked the main street of the town with traffic from early in the morning till late. It IS busy! Additionally, the pub across the street (whose existence we did not know of before) seems to have the licence to have karaoke nights at full blast with all doors open. Our room was simply noisy. Another point (which I mentioned on checking out) concerns the mattress of the smaller/single bed in the room. It was covered by a thin bedsheet only, so every spring could be felt. (And the cover of the blanket was put on inside out.)

The room was basic but clean and tidy, The breakfast room was pleasant and the cooked breakfast excellent and certainly sets you up for the day. All in all £60 per night for 2 people including breakfast was a fair price. This hotel is fine if you are on a budget and are willing to be a bit forgiving about the pub and can cope with some late night noise.. The rooms are above a rather tatty looking pub which is very popular with the locals, loud music and noisy conversation could be heard in the bedrooms and went on well past midnight. Light sleepers my well find this a problem if they are looking for a undisturbed nights sleep.

The staff were very helpful & friendly. The Lady that cooks the breakfasts was wonderful, nothing to much trouble & the food (breakfast) was excellent. On site parking free was also provided. Although we warned there would be music until midnight(on a Tues) and we were allocated the room above the pub, we could see no justification for it being so loud we could not hear our television in our room. There was no sink plug in the bathroom, had to prop up bedroom sash window with my umbrella as catch was broken. As we just needed somewhere to prop our heads we made do for the one night. We were given to understand the noise would come from the club opposite, this never happened. We would not stay there again.
