Bed, pub, food
A bit hot
Ground floor was of an old style nicely decorated, Food was good, Drinks a bit expensive.
The room - Draught from skylight window, Paint work in a very poor state of repair, Carpet was manky, I would class the room we had as 1 star or less. Not worth the £85 paid, there again do you need somewhere to sleep!!!
Really comfy single bed, nice view of church square
The hotel has a very friendly atmosphere and the staff make you feel welcome. I would stay there again it's apperfect location.
Every thing was fine but some things in the room could do with updating.
Brilliant staff hotel food comfort brilliant can not speak highly enough of the hotel
Staff positive and helpful
Fabulous staff, made every effort to help. Good breakfast. Clean. Nice public rooms
Room was a bit shabby, tired. Wifi didn't work in bedroom. Needs updated.
Great location and breakfast
The location is good and in a very quiet part of the village
The room is very small and the single bed against the wall is very uncomfortable. In the bathroom you could not stand directly in front of the mirror and everything is a bit cramped. No lift to take heavy luggage in and furthermore no one offered to help taking this up a very tight spiral staircase.
The staff and the food were excellant.
Very noisy floorboards and plumbing, the room heating went off about 19:00 and hadn't came back on at 07:00 not good on a cold night, the position of the toilet and shower were quite dangerous plus the shower tray was about 18" high. Definitely needs a facelift.
friendly staff and great breakfast.
top floor room smelt a bit damp, window frame mouldy.
As above, lovely staff
Nice friendly staff.
Very small room, extremely noisy whenever anyone went up and down stairs.
We have stayed here several times and the staff are always very freindly and helpful. An olde world hotel in a good location. Good food and great value for money.
Whilst the rooms/bathrooms could do with some improvements, our main issue is noise from creaky floorboards and the thickness of the walls. We were kept awake one night by someone snoring in a room either above or next door.
Great price, it was just somewhere to sleep at the last minute. Nice breakfast
Bathroom but for the price I did not expect too much.
Excellent staff, dinner and breakfast were excellent
Water pressure in the shower was poor
staff were friendly! bed was very comfortable!! 24 hour check in / check out! nice pub / bar which stayed open until midnight - always nice after a long journey! free parking! clean towels! overall really good value for money!!
when we arrived the car park was full so we had to block the entrance, we were told that if someone needed to leave early we'd need to move the car, this didn't happen but it would have been annoying to have to get out of bed to move the car! the bathroom was a little bit old and tired but mostly clean and not really a problem - the towels were very clean and soft which made up for it!
It was clean and well presented. Comfy bed, not that I got much sleep (see negatives).
The room was very small and way too hot. The loudly creaking floor timbers from the rooms above kept me awake and parking was a nightmare. I had to park in a residential street a few hundred yards away. If I'd paid £40 then fair enough but not £62 as I only wanted a bed for the night.
Fantastic welcome by friendly staff who remember my name Good beer and atmosphere in the bar Comfort of the bed and cleanliness of room and bedding One of the fastest and best tasting cooked breakfasts in the country !!
Slightly small bedrooms and bathrooms for someone who is 6' 4"... Tired décor.
Great food using good quality ingredients. Very helpful, cheerful and conscientious staff. Very nice location in the old part of Shepperton and literally a stones throw from the Thames.
Room was slightly on the small side and a little cramped, but clean and a very comfortable bed. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
location was good, staff friendly and nice bar area
bedrooms old and dated
Breakfast was excellent
Noise from Central heating pipes during the night
Staff were good, very polite and attentive. Good food and value with different specials each night. The bed linen was clean and fresh
Room was tired, the dressing table had veneer peeling off, no heating, however a oil filled radiator was supplied. Walls are very thin, you can hear your neighbours in every direction.
Really helpful and friendly staff, great breakfast. Room was fairly basic but very comfortable. My daughter and I were only here for one night visiting friends in the area, we will definitely come again,, lovely location.
