Warm welcome from very friendly staff and a genuine desire to correct any issues. Excellent home cooked burger and chips for dinner together with good beer and a friendly bar atmosphere Good nights sleep Very good full English breakfast with a perfect poached egg in the morning.
Décor and facilities dated with worn carpets and chipped paintwork Cracked tiles in the shower

smallest room in the world. rooms need a total makeover. my last room was next to kitchen extractor which was noisy and stank the room out. bathroom was disgusting
Great location in quaint riverside village Friendly staff Good choice of things for breakfast
Single rooms rather pokey, although inexpensive
Breakfast. Quiet location and free parking.
Shower was average and a bit small.
Highly recommended. This was my first visit. The hotel more than matched expectations and was excellent value for money. The room was clean, the bed was comfy, and I slept through a mega thunder storm (apparently) even with the window open. The freshly cooked full English breakfast was delicious. Congratulations to all the staff for their friendly, helpful and efficient approach to their job.
Nothing. Will come again.
No air conditioning
Location was great. Old world charm and courtesy. Helpful, friendly staff.
Everything was good.
Staff were very friendly and helpful especially on reception. I requested to stay near my daughter and was given the room next door.
creaky and smelly
Three of us were going to the Derby at Epsom with a friend who lives in Shepperton .We have stayed at the Anchor before in 2012 on his recommendation . On both visits we received excellent value for money .
Staff really tried to help, nothing seemed to much trouble, Real old world
It is a just lacking in a little direction and organisation. Squeaky floorboards & fire doors that bang all night long !!!
My stay was very pleasurable. I had a single room and the facilities, bed linen, etc were excellent. Staff very helpful and meals of the highest quality. The location is very beautiful but slightly inaccessible if you do not have a car.
Limited public transport facility and the taxi service, although first rate, was expensive. Some type of courtesy coach to railway station and neighbouring towns, say on a 2 hourly basis, would be ideal.
Very welcoming and cosy. The staff were extremely friendly and breakfast was good.
good food nice bar
bed uncomfortable room small
The room although small very quaint in a good way. Setting fab. Breakfast very good Staff friendly good value Bathroom very clean
Room covered in cob webs...stains on ceiling. furnishings marked. Needs so loving care and a good clean
I arrived in early hours of morning and staff member was excellent. Good breakfast served early and quickly
Old fashioned stand alone wardrobe with difficult hangars.
Charming staff Old world charm beams & panelling Would like to come back again.
Creaky floors all round room 16. thin walls (room 16) NEEDS sound insulation badly. could even hear what room 17 was saying fairly quietly to his wife on the phone for an hour (11.30 to 12.30 am)! Did not get much sleep. Would not stay in that part of the house again.
Lovely character building, friendly staff, comfy room, delicious breakfast.
Staff were excellent, I was staying there for an interview and they helped me feel at ease. They called a taxi for me and were very friendly and talkative. Breakfast was also very nice
Staff were excellent. Appreciated the freshly prepared food. Good value and choice
Felt room decoration tired and general cleanliness let hotel down.
