The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are excellent. Nice location in Old Shepperton
Previous occupant(s) of room had been smoking - lingering smell of smoke in room and lots of fag ends on flat roof outside window. Due to it being an old hotel with no sound proofing the noise of footsteps in the corridor and slamming doors can disturb sleep. Some carpets worn and décor needs refreshing in many places - perhaps it was just part of the 'olde world charm'!
All the staff reception, bar and waiting were excellent, very friendly, helpful and efficient, could not find fault in any of them. The location is lovely and accessible to bus route, and local village shops. Breakfast was plentiful lovely and filling and the service provided by the waiting staff was excellent.
Bit disappointed that the accomodation upstairs didnt feel it complimented the beautiful seeped in history interior downstairs. Would have liked more hooks provided in the single room i had ie on the back of bathroom and main door for instance. And "Church Square" does get a bit busy during the weekends so would advise not to have a room like i did that faces front unless of course you like that sort of thing.
Fantastic. Great breakfast, fast service. All great cant wait to go back.
Generally everything was good. Friendly staff for which nothing was too much trouble. Catering and other facilities could not be faulted.
Without a car, remoteness from station and other travel services slightly inconvenient. Taxi service expensive. A courtesy coach on a regular basis to key local points would solve this. Emails not replied to.
Parking was a nightmare took me 20 mins to get parked
Price Room cleanliness location Great breakfast.
a bit tired access to top floor a bit dodgy room had no windows to view from, attic room window v small and above head height.
Shower didn't work
The friendly welcome and relaxed atmosphere
Slight disturbance from fellow guests moving around due to design and construction of the building
Room was very comfortable and clean with pristine sheets and towels. Good breakfast and very good service even though it was very busy. Although there was a function the place was still pleasant and calm and I was not troubled by loud music and noise. Beautiful village location with handy road links to other places in the area.
A small car park at the back. This is not a criticism but just a comment as when the place was bulit people would not be visiting by car. Because of the through traffic there are double yellow lines but there are side roads a few minutes walk away where there is safe parking as well as a public car park a short walk away.
location ideal for the purpose of my visit
Accommodations in this hotel are in need of modernisation. My room was "poky". The bathroom was unacceptable - fittings old and do not look too hygienic - shower curtain dirty. There was a problem with the plumbing which I reported to the manager. I was unable to use the shower. The bathroom lacked adequate ventilation - I suspect that mould could be found by an expert.
staff wonderful ,slept like a baby.breakfast supurb and value very good.
room small but everthing there
The staff. Breakfast was great.
room very small
Warm welcome from very friendly staff and a genuine desire to correct any issues. Excellent home cooked burger and chips for dinner together with good beer and a friendly bar atmosphere Good nights sleep Very good full English breakfast with a perfect poached egg in the morning.
Décor and facilities dated with worn carpets and chipped paintwork Cracked tiles in the shower
Excellent desk service, clean rooms, beautiful area, good breakfast
The bed was ok, the staff at the bar was friendly
Shabby outside, uninspired kitchen personal, bathroom needed an update so did the diner chairs
Decent location, its within walking distance of Shepperton Village. Reasonably priced for the area, lovely old building, excellent breakfast
Really is very noisy, its the nature of the old building but its just a cacophany of creaking floorboards and crashing doors basically until everybody in the building is asleep. Rooms are basic and a little bit grotty but its cheap and frankly what can one expect for £60 in what is one of the most expensive areas on the planet.
Food, free parking, local to business address, Near to local aminaties
Manky shower curtain , cracked tiles
Some early morning noise from square
staff are great and helpfull
smallest room in the world. rooms need a total makeover. my last room was next to kitchen extractor which was noisy and stank the room out. bathroom was disgusting
Great location in quaint riverside village Friendly staff Good choice of things for breakfast
Single rooms rather pokey, although inexpensive
Breakfast. Quiet location and free parking.
Shower was average and a bit small.
Highly recommended. This was my first visit. The hotel more than matched expectations and was excellent value for money. The room was clean, the bed was comfy, and I slept through a mega thunder storm (apparently) even with the window open. The freshly cooked full English breakfast was delicious. Congratulations to all the staff for their friendly, helpful and efficient approach to their job.
Nothing. Will come again.
