Rooms were very comfortable. Breakfast was very good.

Sound insulation in the rooms was a little disappointing as you could hear people passing by outside.

-Staff very friendly and helpful -Bed and bedding very, very comfortable, wish I was staying longer.

-Generally very clean, but dust on bedside table, lamp etc. -Need hair conditioner to compliment the shampoo, hair a bit tangly. -Shower head wouldn't stay up. -Not sure what happens about car parking on ordinary weekdays, as I stayed over Easter!

The room was fresh clean and tidy, if a bit tight on space for £98. The breakfast was good, and very relaxing. Even though we came down quite late we did not feel rushed.

At 8 am on the sunday morning we were awoken by the noise of the kitchen fans which were extremely loud. No more sleep after that. In addition when we arrived on the Saturday evening someone had thrown up in the garden area - in two places - and it hadn't been cleaned up. Yuk.

The room was a good size and I had a really comfortable night's sleep there. Had dinner there and I definitely recommend the steak, although their king prawn cocktail wasn't really king prawn, but it was still nice. The eggs benedict for breakfast was lovely and the staff were helpful/friendly whenever I spoke to them. I would definitely recommend this place, especially for the price you pay.

The room was pretty much clean, except the writing table had sugar left over from the previous guest which wasn't cleaned. Not a major issue as it wouldn't stop me staying again.

Everything! In particular the staff were really great - friendly, helpful and happy. Duncan, the manager, was efficient and organised and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. The food in the restaurant was a treat and there was plenty of choice. The breakfasts were beautifully cooked and again there was plenty of choice of either cooked or buffet style. The beds were wonderfully comfortable and I just need to know where they bought their pillows from because I want some!

Location, price, and comfort. Lovely that it wasnt the usual chain hotel, but smaller coaching inn.

We arrived from Gatwick to the hotel at 22.00. Sorry to hear we couldn't get any food at all, not even a sandwich. Was 1 of the reasons we booked. Looked lovely menu. Thought we could at least get a cold supper, but told nothing at all.

Fantastic hotel with really wonderful helpful staff and great food. Would recommend to anyone.

Lovely room and a great breakfast

Convenient location

Myroom had a couple of minor issues - the lid for the toilet was on the floor by the toilet and the curtain hook broke leaving the curtain hanging awkwardly. Neither issue affected my stay unduly and staff were very responsive when I reported it on check out. Parking is a slight issue as there is no designated car park however customers are advised to use a supermarket car park nearby which doesn't create too much of an issue.
