Room was lovely. Very spacious. Staff were friendly and breakfast was very good.
Wifi was slow so even though free it barely worked. Also best to be aware that the evening menu is not very varied. Food was very good but limited choice for (slightly) fussy eaters.
Everything, a very pleasant place to stay
Struggled to get a decent wi-fi signal
small snd friendly
lovely clean rooms, comfy beds, bath and shower, great breakfast, excellent dinner when we ate one of the night, quite location.
dinner was expensive for a family.
The hospitality was very good and the qaulity of the good was excellent. I would go back and stay there again.
Location was good, the food was excellent and they had a good selection of beers and wines
The room was begining to look tired, and needed some paint, but it was comfortable and clean.
The Inn manager couldnt do enough for us.The breakfast was great, location great, evening meal ( not included in price)great. The rooms great.
There was nothing we didnt like.
The staff, the convience , the food, the room
The rooms were a little bit tired
Staff, room, food, value for money
Virtually dial-up speed wi-fi.
any of it
My children refused to play on the floor because the carpets were so uncomfortable. Sea grass carpets need to be changed
Food was lovely, staff really friendly and helpful. Beautiful art tthroughout the restaurant and bar. Great value for money
Accommodation its self wasnt amazing, metal bed noisy and wasnt very comfortable and a small room.
The accommodation is basic but good value. The dinner menu is above average but we thought worth the money. Staff were friendly and helpful.
I travelled on my own with my two young children, have no complaints with my stay. Room was large enough and was very comfortable. We all got a good nights sleep.
Comfy bed, nice breakfast, pleasant service
Food pricey compared to quality. (i am a chef though). shower was a bit mildewy.
Service was good food good bit expensive
Put in to a different room then we had booked told the room had creaky floor boards above. So we had a room above the bar and kitchen
room was beautiful proprietor was helpful and friendly dinner that evening was wonderful breakfast was filling and tasty We walked around the countryside and town and it was lovely.
Hospitality Quietness of the area Plenty of parking space Good breakfast
The price of dinners Lack of reliable internet Dreadful TV in room situated at an angle near the ceiling.
Accommodation could do with a refurb
my double room was made up perfectly, very comfortable lots of pillows and cushions, space to work on the laptop and watch tv breakfast was excellent and well worth the visit. i arrived late and they offered me food, drinks, tea and biscuits even though they had closed the restaurant and bar excellent
seems like the hotel is going through a change of ownership, the staff were complaining about this and the manager was a relief manager whod been there for a few weeks and fed up - this didnt affect my stay as she looked after me very well.
Room was lovely, although had to reorganise slightly to get the sofa bed to open fully. Very clean. Lovely breakfast suitable for the four of us including children with plenty of choice.
Wi-Fi was very slow. Bathroom was fine although shower head didn't work properly with water squirting in many directions. However, it did the job. Air conditioning was needed although it was very noisy and had to be turned off. Very pleasant stay.
Food and service were both superb. Room was bright and well decorated and very comfortable.
Rooms were 100yds from main building. Fortunately it was glorious weather. Might have been a problem otherwise.
Very friendly and helpful staff The food was very nice and to a good standard, room was clean.
The location was excellent for visiting several National Trust properties. The staff were pleasant. The bedrooms are in a separate building across the car park. The bedroom on the first night was good.
The service in the restaurant was very slow particularly on the first night. The roast beef was probably recycled from lunchtime and showed it. The fish dish was good. On our return on the second evening we found that we had been moved to another room because, the shower knob in the bathroom of the fisrt room had come off while the room was being cleaned. The second room was a bit larger but had a very thin ceiling so that when a couple arrived after 10 30 pm there was a lot of noise disturbance from the room above.
