The staff were excellent. All were very friendly and helpful and food and the service in the restuarant was very good.
The room which we had booked, had to be changed on our arrival as the bathroom light in it was not working properly The second room that was offered was slightly better, but the hall and bathroom light were still very poor. The heating was also not too good and the bathroom was particularly cold, all of the time. The decor was dated and pretty poor throughout and the room was sparsely furnished. In summary, we came expecting a luxurious stay and on the whole, it ended up just being on average to good.
Getting to bed
Large room / comfy bed. Didn't use other facilities such as bar/restaurant this time so cannot comment
Cooked breakfast not so good this time, rather poor. Tea /coffee not hot, merely lukewarm. To be fair we did not give staff the chance to rectify this due to time issue as both mornings we needed to be out early
Bedroom good decor, shame about the poor windows Food good, stayed for an evening meal very good, breakfast was very nice when you received what you had ordered .
Noisy Extactor fan on wall outside bed room early morning and late into the night. for the price we had paid bathroom facilitities sparce with poor welcome tray. Room very hot not able to open windows as they were so rotten, fan in the room did not work, to be fair when we complained a new fan was provided
Good home cooked food. With exalant service.
Had to leave
Having decided to call in for a drink in such a comfortable and welcoming bar we decided to order food which was remarkable and excellent value for money. The atmosphere was so inviting and comfortable we decided to spontaneously try and book a double room expecting the smallest may be the only option although mostly believing on a Sat night it would be booked out. Not only was a room available but we received a free upgrade to the fantastic Worcester Suite. Absolutely blown away. Thank you so much for an incredible last minute weekend. Will definitely ve back!
The hotel was in an excellent position for our weekend. The hotel is traditional but tired. Our room was clean although there had been a leak through the ceiling and stained. The bathroom needed to be re grouted around the bath.
The general ambience of the Hotel. Good food. Good car parking facilities.
The room had no view. the toilet was cramped. Access to the room was difficult for an ageing couple.
The bed was comfortable.
1 Mold on the curtains in the room 2 room needed painting. 3 ceiling paper in bathroom was coming off. 4 sauage at breakfast was cold and had to ask for ketchup. 5 it was'nt value for money.
The Angel was ideal for our stay, we were visiting relatives in the area and they also recommend the Angel. It was an ideal location, very comfortable and extremely well maintained and decorated
I was made to feel very welcome by all the staff at the hotel, the food was scrumptious and the surrounding countryside ideal for a walking enthusiast. The room was comfortable and well appointed.
Friendly staff, great location, old coaching inn charm, comfy beds, good breakfast. A world away from generic "international" hotels and the better for it.
Building maintenance could be better. Needs some investment in the structure and M&E. And yes, I'm a surveyor.
Friendly staff and good location within the town. Nice pretty upholstery.
I was moved from a room with damp and poor decoration to one with a very noisy kitchen extractor fan outside the window which kept me awake. As hardly anyone was staying a quieter room could have been chosen. The windows were all black with mould. No shampoo or bath gel provided. Charged extra for using credit card. Problems with booking.com were: I was given twin room when I had booked a double and nearly over charged for room. A choice of fresh fruit (pears only) and yoghurts (mandarin only) would be good at breakfast.
Room unacceptable. Man doing maintenance when we arrived on toilet. dirty room,. Not the luxury we booked for . Baggage left with completer stranger who locked himself in our room.
Cleaning in room not good
Large airy room. Excellent breakfast.
Accommodation did not match the amount we paid. No slip mat in bath so unable to shower until one was provided approx 20 hrs after asking. No phone, even after querying. No glasses - provided after requested. No additional niceties to reflect price, eg flannels, toiletries, etc. Bathroom very tatty. Wallpaper hanging off wall! Lavatory took a very long time to fill. Heated towel rail didn't work. Wiring from supply socket to rail unsafe! Only 4 coat hangers provided. Generally very poor value for money. The Asst Mgr blamed Booking.com for the inflated price and was totally inflexible! Offered another room which was even more inferior!
Evening menu good and very friendly and efficient bar staff and waitress.
Mould in bathroom, poor cleanliness - things felt sticky , definite lack of attention to detail. Coffee cup at breakfast had coffee stains on it. I could see it why couldn't the staff?
Friendly staff, good bar area, reasonable breakfast. Location central in Pershore.
Room very small and unable to open windows, so very warm.
Room stuffy but weather was hot.
comfortable public rooms, facilities. Staff friendly and efficient.Nice big garden area with field leading to river.
We booked a premium room ( the last available on the website I think). From 6.30 a.m to 11 p.m there was a lot of noise from machinery associated with the kitchen. For the rest of the time there was a lower pitched, intermittent, hum from some other machinery. The room was unbearably hot throughout our three night stay. Only one window in the bedroom opened, which made no difference to the heat, nor did a fan. The toilet cistern had a brick in it, presumably to save water, but as a consequence it was very slow to refill, then usually needed more than one flush to clear the bowl. The flush mechanism was not easy to operate and my wife caught her knuckle between the handle and the cistern lid. As she takes warfarin this caused sustantial swelling and bruising , which is taking several days to subside.Rather hot water came out of the cold water tap when turned on, not simply due to the ambient temperature, because the water was far too hot for that explanation. I don.t think the room justifies its " Premium" tag and told all this when we were asked at reception on checking out.We were invited to send our comments by email, but the lady we were speaking to was making notes and I feel our verbal conversation should be enough for them to review this room. We didn't see any other accommodation in the hotel.
Central Location Access to the river at rear Traditional feel
Friendly staff and good service.
Light spacious room Great location Pleasant atmosphere
Occasional less than attentive service
Black mould in bathroom, No toast with breakfast
