room very clean, breakfast first class 10 min walk to town

reception did not introduce her self or staff in kitchen but very friendly small gripe

Easily found in Carlisle with handy parking. Nice décor and the owner is an excellent chef and provides very tasty dinners with minimal notice. Very pleasant stay.

I found the Angus Hotel to be everything I hoped for. It was extremely clean, the breakfast was delicious and the staff friendly and helpful. Perfect.

The hotel was further from the City Centre than I expected - (we arrived by train and so did not have any transport) - it was at least a 15 minute walk and some of it was uphill. Public transport was very good though.

We liked the friendly service, the bedrooms, bathroom, breakfast and location.

The car parking. Although the car parking is free, it is a public car park and very popular and often over subscribed i.e. more cars than spaces.

Very ordinary and unimaginative. Nothing particularly to like or dislike - if you value mediocrity this is the ideal place.

The bed was so comfortable and all facilities were excellent.

There was nothing I didn't like.

Great to get a room for myself and two grown sons (19 and 17) which has three proper beds Excellent full cooked breakfast which set us up perfectly for our onward journey

The shower was efficient but difficult to set, and then change, as the water temperature moved from cold to super-hot - this lead to much oohing and aahing from inside the bathroom (and much giggling outside it!)

The friendly welcome on arrival; the excellent service throughout; the courteous and efficient staff; the superb breakfasts; the whole atmosphere of the hotel; and the frequent bus service into the centre.

Although the cooking was good in quality, the evening menu would have benefited from a wider range of fish and meat.

They were accepting of dogs and had a high standard of cleanlyness. Good breakfast

Near town centre, parking facilities, nice and quiet, good price for accommodation and friendly staff.

We requested and were given a quiet room at the back.The bonus was that it was beautifully furnished, large and bright. It was such a pleasure to have space to move around, a couple of comfortable armchairs, a large immaculate bathroom, comfortable bed and beautiful linen. The owners were friendly, the breakfast was fine and if you wanted it, they'd order and serve take away food in the evenings, Parking was about 20 yards away and the owners provided a parking ticket as part of the b&b price. A wonderful find; one we'll use again.

Walking distance to the city centre. Parking nearby with hotel issued voucher. The hotel has a restaurant and there is a good pub over the road and several other restaurants close by.
