The restarant area where I had breakfast was very nice.
My room, backed on to the kitchen, no plug in my sink so no shave and generally in need of refurb.
Friendly staff Free on-site parking Clean, well-maintained room Very good on-site Indian restaurant Excellent breakfast Very reasonable price
Made us feel very comfortable staff were very helpful and polite
Lovely large, clean room with a massive bed! Good buffet breakfast.
Nothing to dislike, but a hairdryer in bedroom would be useful. The hot breakfast ,although tasty, could have been hotter.
Cosy bed,and great WiFi reception
Breakfast was cold and lots of noise coming from the room above us so sleep was staggered.
very central ideal for local attractions and heathrow airport
The staff were all friendly and efficient, offering us a disabled room as it was noticed I was using crutches.Room very nicely furnished and clean
Small grumble about the wi-fi I had to keep inputting the username/password on my ipad when it timed out, maybe an ipad problem?
very smart clean room, bed very comfy, staff very polite and friendly.nice bar, will be back again.
Stayed for leisure purposes , stayed in executive bedroom with breakfast, room was superb very clean and modern looking, bathroom was clean and bath was so relaxing being really deep and wide, staff were brilliant and breakfast was superb! Would defiantly stay again without a doubt! Room 304.
The lady serving breakfast was polite and friendly. Should be on reception!!.
No main lighting in room and no lighting in bathroom. With no light from outside impossible to use bathroom properly ie.. dangerous to use shower. Able to use toilet and hand basin with door wide open.
We looked at lots of hotels before booking here, this is probably the best value (for London) we could find (£69 inc breakfast for "exec double"), between winsor castle and Hampton court. Room was clean, tidy, lots of parking spaces, breakfast was fine, staff were pleasant. We weren't expecting luxury, we just wanted somewhere to sleep, (I slept ok, my partner not so well due to light emitting from curtains, and under the door) shower and refuel in the morning for a reasonable price, it served its purpose ok, all things said we would probably use again for similar trips in that area.
Room was very cold when we arrived (January), open window with no handle, took a while to get warm. Wi-if didn't work in the room, only in the lobby. There was a party in the function room (Saturday night) which went on until 12.30ish including the spontaneous drummer, it would have been an issue if we had wanted an early morning departure. I think there had been a fight at the party, as there were fresh blood stains and broken sun glasses in the outside smoking area. Having read other reviews, we were aware that the restaurant only served Indian food, so we tried the Swan hotel across the road, very expensive, (burger and fries £15 pp) we would probably have been better crossing the river into Staines for food.
Clean and comfortable room. Spacious bathroom and shower. Pleasant and efficient staff. Good breakfast with plenty of choice.
No bathroom bin.
Liked everything. Quiet, clean, would highly recommend it. Looking forward to our next visit.
Hard to understand the heating in our room!
large room clean and modern friendly staff good breakfast lovely bathroom
room was cold on arrival and took a while to heat up
Very convenient to where we were visiting friends. We got 2 rooms next to each after after speaking with the staff
Just a shame there was not more people staying there as a consequence lacked atmosphere
One night stop. Had 2 functions going but avoided restaurant delay by taking order and calling when ready. Service excellent even gave us room away from the party noise. for ref the restaurant is Indian cuisine, not a problem for us but it may help to know.
Our room was well decorated & comfortable. A great position for visiting local area. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Restaurant was enjoyed by everyone in our group. All round value for money.
Room was really freezing when we arrived - but soon warmed up with the heating system.
Executive room that are a lot better, hence the split reviews on here.
Standard rooms are old and substandard. Akin to a bad travel lodge, but at way over travel lodge prices. staff told me I had been given a bad room because I booked on booking.com. If I had booked direct i would have got a new room. Standard rooms are NOT boutique style as the hotel advertises, in fact the hotel is not boutique at all its corporate without the service levels. There are no facilities at all here and the reception closes with doors locked at 11, so forget late check ins. I now stay in stains 2 nights a week every week for the forsee able future. After 2 nights here I won't be staying again. Thanks for the poor experience ill take my £10,000 a year elswhere.
access and friendly staff
Helpful staff. Let us check in early after a long flight.
Limited dining facilities. Indian food only.
very polite and helpful staff, was given the option to upgraded are room due to a cancellation for a minimal charge, all round a very good hotel will use again
The staff were really nice, in particular Martin the bar man. He took the time to show us round the grounds and explained the history of the hotel in that it used to belong to Anne Boleyn.
Quiet location yet easy access to Staines town centre and rail travel to Twickenham and central London
Nothing excellent value for money
- Hotel Parking is very convenient and easy to find
- Booked a standard room and it was extremely disappointing, when I asked to move I was told would have to pay to upgrade. The next room I was shown was in the attic and was very cold. Third room was nice but for the cost of the room I would not class it as an upgrade but a newly refurbished, modern room.
