The Bull Inn is set in the picturesque village of Wimborne St Giles, close to the River Allen. This charming inn offers 4 double rooms and an à la carte restaurant.

The Anvil Inn is closed and you did not tell me when I booked
The coyness and character
Breakfast was excellent.
No heating in room, poor communication from staff, seemed as if we were left alone as there were no staff at all most of the time.
Food was good rustic fare convenient for a wedding reception and very large servings
Wi-fi was not working so felt a bit cut off! The stairs were difficult for my somewhat disabled wife
Welcoming staff. Very helpful and obliging. Best sunday roast I have ever had out. Veg cooked to perfection!!
Very comfortable warm room with everything we needed. Nice bar area and restaurant. Lovely freshly cooked breakfast.
Breakfast was very good
Wifi did not work. Room was cold at night. Main light bulb had to be replaced and no lamp for dressing table.
comfortable rooms, good staff and a good breakfast in the morning.
Very friendly staff. Well run bar. Pet friendly. Ideally positioned for our walking weekend on the Wessex Ridgeway. A very pleasant stay for both young and old.
Only the pheasant crumble
staff very wecoming and helpful
room quite dark could do with brighter lights
Excellent staff, facilities, refreshments (Free House), knowledgeable, and exceptional looking hotel
nothing to dislike
The staff were friendly and accomodating as we arrived in the early evening. Breakfast was really nice.
Phone coverage was patchy and we could not hook up to the wifi on any device.
Hotel has lots of character!
Food was generally good, but relatively expensive.
Thank you all for your welcoming stay, all the staff couldn't do enough for us, very much enjoyed the beer festival!
Although only fair for location, we choose to be away from the hustle and bustle of a town. Quiet, peaceful and very quaint with its thatched roof. A great menu to choose from if your hungry and well stocked bar, in the morning a Freshly cooked full English breakfast was exceptional, carefully prepared with the finest ingredients that you don't see in the chain hotels. Spotlessly clean and fresh.
Sorry, couldn't find fault
Good friendly staff.
A little expensive for what is essentially a bed and breakfast with a pub attached
We were very impressed with every aspect of our stay, from the service throughout, to the quality of our room, the standard of the evening meal and the breakfast. The staff were helpful, efficient, and very friendly. Will be staying again. Thanks to the staff
Good food, friendly staff and convenient location
The stay was excellent
Lovely weekend away nice and peaceful
Only able to get phone signal outside away from building
Dinner at the bar was nice Building has a lot of character
Radiator in room did not work making room cold, still did not get fixed after advising staff. Although it offers internet it did not work, when on business this is important.
Food was well cooked and plentiful.
This hotel was very understaffed, the stairs up to the rooms were very precarious especially if you were carrying a heavy case. The room we had was very small and the bathroom was tiny, the extractor fan was very noisy indeed. We asked for the heating to be turned on the first night, the second night we asked three times but it remained off despite it being a very damp cold day. How they were awarded four stars is beyond me! I would only give two and a half. Certainly not value for money and we would not go back under any circumstances.
location was nice and quiet, friendly staff Breakfast was excellent - and service was much quicker
extractor fan for kitchen prevents you sleeping as it was on ALL night!! plus dripping water in toilet cistern evening meal Ok but nothing special - long wait for the food too!
