Score from 57 reviews Wonderful
Location very good and staff pleasant and efficient. Cooked breakfast was very good quality and service excellent.
Noise from other guests, notably a group who got up at 5 a.m., slammed every door, and had shouted conversations from their rooms to the car park!
nice room good views and good parking
shower very slow but the bathroom was nice, cafe was more like a transport café although staff was very nice, stair case could do with a jolly good vacuuming
The food was excellent, both at breakfast and for dinner. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was great for exploring Portland and Chesil Beach.
I would have liked softer pillows.
It was clean We had a nice view
The room on the top floor had a loud macerating toilet flush. The door fell off the shower when you tried to use it and shower pressure was low. Breakfast was of poor quality and the staff in the cafe where it was served had struggled to keep up with the volume of guests. We waited about 25 mins for our food.
Cheerful welcome, clean and comfortable. Food was well cooked and tasty.
Shower was a bit small but other than that I enjoyed my stay.
Basic but clean and well worth the money which was quite cheap.
Room was clean and spacious, has everything you need for a short stay. Check out is a little early but on the plus side they serve an all day breakfast, so time is not restricted here.
Staff were friendly, location was good, room size was good, bath in en suite.
Blackout curtain was hanging from one side, towel size was small, shower water pressure was low but adaquate.
Modern room WiFi Clean Good food
Water pressure low Baking hot room Meal ordered at the bar took an hour to arrive
Every thing was wonderful no complaints at all
lovely views excellent crabbing just outside the front door, from 'Crabbers Wharf'! good value pub grub unpretentious loved the laid-back vibe & hope to stay again
room a little pricey, given that the accommodation is fairly basic, but we stayed in August & everything else was expensive, too.
great location and great people
Good location to the marina
Thin walls , loud drunk neighbours
After a very long trip we were warmly welcomed by Aqua staff and shown our room. Quad room had four beds, great ensuite and was clean.
We were unable to pick up wi fi on all devices.
There was no gloss & glists, being in the old harbour area. Lovely views of harbour & distant coast. Sound of sea gulls & passing fishing & leisure craft. Good, substancial breakfast.
2nd floor water preasure not too great. Breakfast area a little transport cafe style.
Clean, comfortable, good service & food.
Sound proofing between rooms not very good. Conversations could be heard from other rooms.
Comfortable bed, good bar, nice community rooms with good books.
Easy access to Portland and Chesil Cove. Food available till late and early breakfast on a Sunday.
Very noisy - both inside (with banging doors poorly insulated) and outside (seagulls, drinkers/smokers from bar). Long queue for breakfast in cafe - need to factor this in if you are on a tight timescale in the morning. Hotel is a bit tired looking and facilities are basic for the rate charged.
The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful, I'd phoned before I booked to ask about some things and the lady was super helpful and that continued during our stay. Plus they were so accomodating with my tricky dietary requirements. Would definately stay again.
Just found the room too hot to sleep, we were given a fan which helped keep it a bit cooler but was too noisy to get to sleep. An optional sheet would be a good idea as the duvet was too warm. Tho' I'm sure if I'd asked they'd have provided me with one, I didn't think as I was too hot and tired!
it is a very inexpensive but good clean and friendly place to stay when visiting Portland
Everything I needed for a low cost one night stay
large room, very comfortable, fair breakfast.
small tv in the room,no lift access with steep stairs, high climb into the bath/shower
Very dull hallways
