This central 4-star hotel is a 5-minute walk from the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and Stratford-Upon-Avon Rail Station. It offers an award-winning restaurant, free parking and free WiFi in public areas....
Score from 751 reviews Very good
Overlooking the RSC Theatre, this 17th-century riverside hotel has parking and a bar. The town centre is a 5-minute walk away and the rail station is 15 minutes’ walk from the building.
Score from 461 reviews Good
Set in beautiful landscaped gardens, this 4-star Holiday Inn is in the heart of Stratford-upon-Avon, just 500 metres from The RSC Theatre.
Score from 993 reviews Very good
Set in a Grade II listed building, this historic hotel has gone through a £3 million restoration project, yet still retains its original features, open fires and wonderful antiques.
Score from 748 reviews Superb
Friendly and helpful staff. Interesting menu . Food well cooked and presented. good wine list. I have travelled widely and often have considered hotels, especially in UK, overpriced- but this hotel is definitely worth it .
Disabled access limited to some areas. Stair lift would be useless for heavy wheelchairs. I know there are some disabled bedroom facilities at ground floor level and food can be served downstairs, but sadly this lovely hotel would not be suitable for my friends who require the heavy motorized chairs for severely disabled.
Reception staff Dinner service - food and staff Comfort of room Location In all a really good short break, let down by .......
The breakfast service was simply awful. The staff didn't seem to know what was happening. the restaurant manager was invisible, tea and coffee arrived without milk and in spite of 3 requests was eventually drunk black and cold. Buffet was nearly empty and not replenished. having paid for breakfast in our room rate we went out for breakfast on or 2nd morning. a number of other guests also complained and we heard later that a friend's daughter stays here frequently and reports the breakfast service is 'always poor'. mentioned this to the hotel reception and hopefully they have now reviewed this aspect. In all other respects the hotel staff and service were excellent.
Staff is exceptional; location central but quiet looking over the river; best bath I have ever had in England; great restaurant; nicely refurbished and appointed rooms
Not a single thing to improve on!
Location was very good
No comfortable bar for the evening- a small separate area for coffee etc and an area which business people sat with laptops in the day.
huge room, huge bathroom, fridge, convenient car park, excellent breakfast
lighting in bedroom, service at breakfast, mistake on bill
The whole experience was excellent. We will happily return.
Your hotel is well run with a trained, attentive and alert staff. Your "Team" creates a warm feeling that everyone belongs to a " Family." We are looking forward to returning and trying other locations, too.
across the road from the theatre
No post-theatre restaurant service.
Efficiency and assistance of staff who were always considerate and charming Convenient for RSC and town Attractive hotel Facilities good Cooking and food presentation very good. Eating v.good usually excellent.
Disability help - eg lifts, fewer stairs would have been helpful, but we understand the difficulties involved in installation, which were explained to us
location, surroundings, atmosphere, reception staff very polite and helpful, breakfast recommended
nothing to dislike in my opinion
The location. The friendly, cheerful and efficient staff. Free convenient parking. Breakfast. Evening cocktails.
The temperature in the room. Eveing with it switched off the warmth made a good night's sleep well nigh impossible.
My husband and I loved everything about the hotel. All the staff were most polite, helpful and keen to ensure everything was to our liking. We were there to celebrate our Ruby Wedding and delighted to receive a room upgrade and some bubbly to celebrate. Thank you so much to all at The Arden Hotel
Friendly atmosphere, spotlessly clean, great breakfast and wonderful views of RSC
Comfortable, luxurious even. Excellent breakfast
The hotel was situated within easy reach of the town centre and the staff were all very pleasent and helpful. The room was excellent and the comfort left nothing to be desired.
Excellent friendly efficient service from all the staff. Good good at reasonable prices
Fantastic location, incredibly comfortable beds( fabulous pillows!)... Very easy to oversleep and miss the lovely breakfast!! Staff always friendly and helpful. After 4 visits can say that standards remain consistently high.
Had a problem with the room having been set as a twin rather than double but this was immediately resolved once reported.
the Arden is opposite the RSC in Stratford on Avon and our room overlooked it. we have stayed in the hotel before and enjoyed our stay. We were upgraded to a suite which was superb although the carpet hadn't been laid properly with many ridges in it. Breakfast was amazing as were the staff who couldn't do enough for us. We stayed for two nights but didn't have an evening meal but we will definitely return to the Arden again.
very high standard throughout and they had a magnifying mirror in the bathroom! So few places do.
A little bit corporate I felt, very business-like not particularly warm. Difficult to put into words but we stayed another night at the Swan in Stratford which did have a warmer feel.
Especilly food and wine.
The room we had this time was somewhat small!! Although we understand because we booked late.
I like the atmosphere of the hotel. I like the facilities such as the Brasseree and Restaurant A good varied menu for light bites to three cause the décor of the bedrooms is good and very clean throughout..
one slip. my husband ordered porridge and I ordered a cooked breakfast and they forgot about mine. When it eventually came the bacon was too well done.it wasn't up to the standard of the other meals.
I would like to thanks the attention to detail the staff at the Arden showed by presenting my partner with a box of chocs and a card for his birthday during our stay.
There was nothing we didn't enjoy during our stay
We stayed for 2 nights to celebrate my husbands birthday. The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. Our room was very comfortable and the bathroom was awesome. The breakfasts were really good great menu and well cooked. Have to say that the cocktails were tasty as well!
