Location and staff
Bed a bit uncomfortable
Food good staff excellent breakfast good over all value for money.
Small room. Window did not open much due to design. Bathroom dated but clean. Not that I needed it but hair dryer was a small folding travel one. Wife was not happy.
Location, Staff, room and food
Noisy drunks passing by outside window, not the hotels fault I know
Location good , view over the Clyde very nice . The master of ceremonies at the wedding reception was very impressive he is very good at his job
The Eastern European lady at the bar did not understand a word of English making it very hard work ordering drinks
We were called by the hotel 2 days before informing us that due to electricity issues we did not have a room. We had been booked for months for a family wedding which was to be held at the hotel. Not impressed.
The room was huge and we had our sea view. Staff couldn't have been more helpful and no problem with individual requests for breakfast.
The hotel was fantastic and ideally located for the ferry. The housekeeping was excellent and the breakfast and reception staff were very friendly and helpful. For instance one night it was raining heavily and the rain was dripping from my ceiling on to my bed.I went down to 're eruption just to let them know and within five minutes they had upgraded me from my single room to a lovely double room at no extra cost.I
There was nothing I didn't like about this hotel as I found it excellent in every way.!
The room was beautiful and bed was so comfy. Even the chairs and wee table were lovely to sit at and admire the view. All members of staff were so friendly and helpful in particular the general manager Deve gave us an instant impression of being looked after getting us a glass of water when we arrived.
3rd floor attic bedroom overlooking argyll street, very small window no double glazing, which was very noisy with clubbers going home until 4.45am. Lift very old and scary. Bar closed at 11.30pm instead of 1am as advertised. Bedroom very small.
Staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Comfortable bedroom with an excellent view. Lunch menu was good. Very good central location, literally a step away from the town centre.
Lift was sometimes quite slow.
Food,room,location,staff very helpful,sea owe.
Quick and easy check in and check out Relaxed atmosphere in hotel. Would go back
Service & amenities were worth the price. Staff very friendly.
It wasn't easy to see the signage (particularly Best Western) from the roadway.
Very Clean, Food Excellent Bar Prices Reasonable. Great Location near to Ferry port and has fantastic views.
Top Floor rooms with arch windows have height restrictions in areas and are probably smaller although they have made good use of the space available even at 5'5 i banged head numerous times. When concerns raised regarding this it was met by the receptionist "you should have learnt after the first incident" Not what i would have expected as i had booked a double room NOT a small double, apparently the hotel was full with coach party and they didn't want to split them up. Don't let it put you off the hotel just an area of concern make sure if you book a double you are allocated the room size you book as i believe there are small doubles in the hotel too charged at cheaper rates. Lift was very creaky and slow although it did work.
everything food was high standard
The location and the view was fantastic. The staff were very friendly and knowledgable of the area. Overall thumbs up from us.
Can't think of anything.
...because our room at the Argyll wasn't available due to maintenance. The owner really looked after us and the Esplanade is probably a better location than the Argyll, being quieter and on the 'beach'. Dunoon is a pretty little town and a good base to explore the surrounding countryside, which is beautiful.
Position; good sized family room; excellent staff; décor and classic feel
All the steps, not the easiest with a push chair.
Staff very friendly, excellent location, check out the free parking at the end of the car park!
Lift was very slow! Decor needs updating
Staff were friendly
We booked a room only to be told on the day off arrival that the particular room was not available. We were offered a alternative room and a complimentary dinner......so all and all not the worst outcome. Unfortunately on the day the alternative room was not available which resulted in us being offered an alternative hotel and a complimentary dinner in the original hotel..........I could go on but I am still slightly miffed
Good location overlooking Firth of Clyde and close to Gourock ferry. Very helpful staff
Attic room stuffy in hot weather
I was impressed by my reception and the attention received from Bar and restaurant staff
Sea view comfortable bed spacious room staff were very good
Poor wi-fi in our room Breakfast was bland disco was too loud
Very family friendly made you feel welcome good location .
Didn't have any problems
