Fabulous,
Score from 137 reviews
“ My second visit to the Arrandale. I wouldn't stay anywhere else. A great welcome and comfortable & clean ”
Neil,
Roundstone Co Galway
In the oldest part of town, just 2 minutes' walk from Ayr's sandy beach and the town centre, this charming, family-run hotel offers lovely rooms, tasty Scottish breakfasts and free Wi-Fi and parking. Next to Ayr's historic St John's Tower, the Arrandale Hotel is just a short stroll from the seafront esplanade, with its wonderful views of Ailsa and Arran. The bus station is just a 2-minute walk away and Ayr Railway Station is less than 10 minutes' walk from the hotel. Quiet and peaceful, each of the comfortable en suite rooms is individually decorated and is named after one of the islands on Scotland's West Coast. Breakfasts are freshly cooked to order and include locally produced bacon, sausages and free-range eggs. There is a huge range of malt whiskies available in the cosy residents lounge bar. The Arrandale is family owned and run and your hosts, Iain and Linda, can help arrange golfing breaks and provide local information. The location was excellent The owners attitude on arrival was awful, as she had had other customers from our area she disliked she expected us to be the same. I most certainly will not recommend this hotel and will not be back.

Very handy for town centre no problem with parking. The bed was very uncomfortable and felt as if it was going to fall apart. Not allowed into room until 2.30pm. Breakfast was not the best not worth £7

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful and comfortable. Would definitely return again. No dressing table or mirror in the room to do hair or make up. Had to do it in the bathroom.

I stayed at the Arrandale Hotel while working at Prestwick Airport, Linda couldn't do enough nothing was to much trouble. The rooms were spotless with everything you could need at hand and the Hotel is Ideal for the beach or going into Ayr its self and the surrounding area I would eagerly recommend the Hotel to anyone going to stay in Ayr.

It was clean, comfortable and in a brilliant location and the staff were very friendly. My room was upgraded at no extra charge. Lovely little hotel. Pity the cooked breakfast was served on a cold plate........but that is a minor quibble! Also, because it was quiet, I suppose, the bar was closed.

Very friendly and relaxing hotel, the owner was most welcoming and knowledgeable. Excellent position in a lovely part of town and close to both beach and shops. Good Scottish breakfast to set us up for the day. Only 2 tv channels working, probably a signal problem.
