Everything was spot on. I have nothing to complain about. Mick and Hazel could not be more helpful, everything was immaculately clean and the breakfast was fabulous. The value for money is outstanding.

Welcoming, comfortable and clean. Breakfasts very good. Only the difficulty parking lets it down, and that was solved after a few circuits around the area.

Parking is a problem. Their car park only takes 3 cars. After that it is down to park on the roadside, which is free, but first you have to find a space, as everyone else is doing the same thing! Still - we did find a spot, and its the same problem for everyone in a town centre location.

Owners work hard to achieve high standards. Breakfast was very very nice. Room was decorated to a high standard, had tea and coffee making facilities, also toiletries Toilet and shower room was finished to a very high standard as well.

Knew the twin room would be small, but it was smaller than we imagined. Probably suit two children.

We stayed at the Ashleigh Guest House in July 2014 and if I am honest I cannot fault the premises whatsoever. The room we stayed in was very clean, tidy and spotless. The beds were comfortable and the bed linen clean and pressed. Facilities in the room were also excellent with an alarm clock, plenty of lights, a ceiling fan, which was very useful as the weather was very warm. The windows and shades were clean despite the best efforts of seagulls, which is a hazard anywhere near the beach. The room had a wash basin and an en-suite shower and toilet, all of which were very clean down to spotless sealant around the shower. One relished having a shower without being "afraid" to touch anything in the bathroom. The room also featured a cool box to cool, but not refrigerate water or whatever. The room we stayed in was a twin and was very quiet with no noise emanating from other rooms in the guest house. Tea/coffee, cocoa facilities were always replenished daily and we were never short of these. Biscuits were also supplied free and again, were replenished daily. The breakfast menu was exhaustive and one filled out one's preferences on a sheet the night before and it was all taken care of so that your breakfast was also a treat. As much produce as possible was sourced locally, which was nice to know that they owners supported the local businesses. The view out of our window was across a cricket / rugby pitch which gave a pleasant vista. At the far side of the pitch one could see the Dartmouth to Paignton steam railway and could see and hear the locomotive pulling away. The trains do not run before 1000 so there was no reason to worry about any noise from that source. For those of you that smoke, there is a dedicated "smoking area" on a pleasant veranda looking out over the pitch as mentioned above. There is also a sun lounge to sit and relax in should the weather turn inclement.

There was nothing we didn't like whatsoever.

Mick and Hazel who ran this Guest House were so welcoming and helpful, they couldn't do enough. The bedroom was very comfortable and well kitted out. Breakfast was delicious wiht the biggest selection I have ever seen. All round a perfect little guesthouse.

Shower room in the Twin room we stayed in on the ground floor didn't have very much space, particularly between the shower and toilet once feels quite sqaushed in, having said that all perfectly funtional. Sink outside the bathroom would be our only real grumble

Lovely warm welcome Outstanding cleanliness Cosy relaxing dining room with lovely stylish table settings Located close to the beach, shops, steam railway but very quiet The owners are really welcoming, warm and helpful Great service Fabulous breakfast with extra choices for no extra charge such as egg Benedict, smoked salmon and scrambled egg, poached salmon. Homemade marmalade and preserves. Perfectly cooked full English, great coffee. We had a totally relaxing break, it's easily the best B&B we stayed in. Thank you Mick and Hazel, we would love to go back

It was one of the most pleasant stays I have experienced at a guest house. Mick and Hazel were very friendly and nothing was to much trouble. I would definately recommend this guest house to all and will definately visit again in the near future.

The food / service and cleanliness were excellent. The guest house cannot be faulted.

The wi-if did would not connect to the laptop, also our booking confirmation stated a king size first floor room. In which case I did nor request a first floor room. When we arrived we were in the attic room 2 flights of stairs up.
