Everything looked as if it had just been refurbished. Most definitely would stay there again. Just caught a taxi to the cruise ship. Approximately £10.
Welcoming and friendly staff. comfortable accommodation. good location for us. food excellent. When in Liverpool would choose this accommodation again.
Great welcome from sue, what a beautiful home my bedroom overlooking the garden amazing and comfortable. Breakfast was fab and will deffinately go back. Thanks Sue
Very friendly proprietor went out of her way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The B&B is easily accessible from the airport and the city center by bus and taxi. (If you take the bus, it's on routes 86 and 86A.)
The bed was amazing. Lovely house and room was very homely, hostess was nice. Lovely spread at breakfast, nothing was too much trouble.
There was a few hairs in the bed, the shower kept going boiling hot to freezing cold and because of the position of the sink in the bathroom you couldn't open the door on the shower properly, the bathroom ceiling was mouldy and the tv remote didn't work. The lock on the bedroom door wouldn't work from the inside so had to sleep with it unlocked.
Sue is an excellent host, nothing was too much trouble for her. Will definitely be staying again.
Very comfortable, great rooms, very clean, and a lovely, lovely lady who runs it. Looking forward to another visit to a great guest house in a great city.
We were welcomed into a beautiful home, by a very friendly lady, Sue. All our needs were well met. We hope to stay there on our next visit.
Comfortable, beautifully furnished house with friendly landlady. House is located on a main road but my room at the back was very quiet.
Sue, the owner, was very friendly and extremely helpful and knowledgable on Liverpool and the Beatles. Paul McCartney's boyhood home and Penny Lane were in walking distance. The bus to the City Center ran by the house. We felt welcome as house guests and not paying customers.
We had the one room that did not have a private bathroom.
From the minute we arrived Sue was a great host. She showed us up to our room and ensured everything was ok with the room. She got us a small fridge from the room upstairs so that we could keep the milk cool for our tea & coffee. She offered to make us a drink on arrival & brought it up to the room on a tray along with some biscuits. In the evening she asked us what time we wanted breakfast & what we would like to eat. The following morning breakfast was read for us as planned and everything we asked for was there. Nothing was too much trouble for Sue and she continually kept ensuring we had everything we needed for a great stay. Would definitely recommend The Avenue B&B to anyone visiting the area and we will stay here again when in that area.
Sue is a wonderful hostess. Great place to stay and convenient to the "Penny Lane" area of Liverpool.
Evident thought and care that had gone into creating a comfortable and high-standard B&B within a family home. We had a really spacious room with balcony and private bathroom and toilet just across the hall. Sue was a very considerate host going out of her way to accommodate special requests and making us feel very welcome. Easy bus journey to Liverpool city centre, 30 mins away. Would definitely recommend
the location was great bus stop nearby into centre. Lots of places to eat just a short walk away. The breakfast was good and wholesome and served at whatever time you requested. Sue was great host and we had lots of chats and laughs together. When we next visit Liverpool we will certainly stay at The Avenue.
nothing to dislike at all
Friendliness Breakfast Local restraunts Very clean Good size room
WiFi was hit and miss
Fantastic, welcoming, spotless, large size ensuite rooms, generous breakfast. 11/10. The best I have stayed in anywhere.
There was nothing that I did not like.
Comfortable, clean, lovely room, great breakfasts, good location in very nice area. Could not fault. Lovely land lady.
Sue was really nice and warm lady. I became relaxed soon after I met her.The room was pretty and clean and we enjoyed breakfast.
It was a little far from the Liverpool main station.
excellent quality decor and rooms lovely home, friendly owner (sue) very good breakfast
charged an extra £10.00 on arrival just to make a single bed up (we were two male friends staying in a double or twin room - the room had a double bed and a single bed god only knows why the single bed wasnt made up ? didnt argue about the charge at the time but thought it was a bit naughty, and also there was no key for the room which was not good from a security front for 80.00 a night would expect to have full sky viewing also
We had the attic conversion room, very tidy and comfortable. Not too far from the shops and there is a Carvery pub not too far in the other direction - good value for money by the way. The proprietor is very helpful and friendly.
The room was not cleaned or the bed remade after the first night, dirty cups left. No fresh milk left in the room to make hot drinks after the first day. (we only stayed 2 nights)
it was spotless. The facilities were plenty. The landlady was very welcoming.
Good place to get a bus into Liverpool
Location convenient for bus into centre. Free car parking and wifi. Good breakfast. Really nice landlady couldn't do enough for us.
Sue was very pleasant and gave us advise on the area when we asked her
nothing as far as the B&B goes but parking on the road wasnt ideal but nothing Sue could do about that
