A very comfortable bed, plenty of wardrobe space for an overnight stay, and a really attractive bathroom with retro-style black and white tiles, a marvellous rain-shower, and boiling hot water. The bathroom door was too heavy and I had to block it open with my shoes.

The spotless varnished surfaces giving it a slight arc deco feel. Food next door was very good too. The wrong menus in the bedroom. One studied them to decide what delicious dish to have only to find that they were out of date.

Clean and tidy with a 1960 décor. Very close to the station and centre of the town. The trouser press disintegrated when opened and could easily have damaged some toes

Pleasant helpful staff. Cheap as chips. Good central location. Quite noisy in our room. Room was really warm and People were regularly smoking beneath our room window which meant the room smelt of smoke if I opened the window. Tiny car park. No wifi in hotel despite this bring advertised - same with brochure in the room which said sky sports was available in the room.

We like the location off the hotel, the bar staff were friendly. When we booked we were told we would have a parking space, when we arrived we didn't have a parking space, the staff told us we would need to park up in a pay car park which was 6.00 per 4 hours. We had to wait at hotel for few hours before we could get parked up. Also couldn't get any sleep as our room was right next to a pub which the karaoke was on until after 1 in the morning. Woke up the next morning to noctice that our brand new car had been hut into by another car. We weren't happy at all, there is meant to be 4 security cameras, where the staff the turned round and said the car park camera isn't on. We are furious about this as nothing has been done. We want a full refund of our money, also still trying to speak to a manager about our car as the cameras should have been on in their car park which we thought our car would be safe.!!! Not happy at all.

Were the hotel is situated. The Bistro next door. The public Bar. the pillows, you could hear televisions in other rooms, and one member of staff who thought customers do not matter, in the public bar.

Very friendly welcome in main part of hotel (as on previous visit), where staff are unobtrusive but pleased to help when asked -- so a welcome "home from home" for visiting a relative no longer in her own home. WiFi access is sadly unreliable (as well as being limited to only SOME of the public areas, i.e. the restaurant next door). And pointing out that it wasn't working elicited very little interest!
