We were a stones throw away from Thorpe park. That's the reason we stayed!! Was really reasonable for a place to put your head down x
This was a very cosy and friendly hostel. I just stayed for one night here because I had an early morning flight. The pub lets you eat takeaway inside and supplies you with plates and cutlery. Comfortable night's sleep.
The staff was very considerable!!!
The rooms were not fit for purpose or indeed the price that was charged for the rooms. The guy I spoke to on the phone said they were adult bunk beds which I thought was acceptable for just the 2 nights, however when the guys arrived there at the start of their stay, they said they couldn’t even fit their bags into the room let alone fit on the bunk beds which were tiny! There was no physical way that they could have stayed there 1 night let alone 2.
Their refusal to refund despite all I explained to them. will never book them again..................
The location for my needs was great. The bed was really comfy, it was like getting into a big marshmallow. Food was good, plenty of parking and friendly staff and dog.
I realised it would be very basic for the price I paid. The room was quite tatty and appeared clean but I did end up with some flea bites. Most of the doors didn't fit very well so was disturbed by other guests opening and closing their doors.
No working locks on any of the communal bathroom doors or toilets. Traces of previous guests takeaway still on floor and room door looked like it had been forced a few times. Vodka bottle smashed in car park remained there for duration of my 4 night stay
The closeness to the airport
Showers and food options
Location. Cheap for the area.
It's a blokes bar! Food was ok if you want chips. The fish pie was still cold inside. Room was small and couLd do with smartening up.
Close to London Heathrow Airport and Wi-Fi was easy to access. Manager reassured me I was in safe hands. Easy booking and location was easy to find. Bar downstairs and music was off around 9 or 10 pm.
Locks on the room door were not great. Could have a better latch lock especially being a female solo backpacker. Friends were concerned after dropping me off. Made it through the night without any problems.
Excellent staff, happy to help great location.. very comfortable
Taxi connection suboptimal, because of the proximity to the airport (taxi drivers prefer long hauls to central London).
I loved staying here, the staff were great and always very helpful and friendly. It was a cozy atmosphere within the hotel, and the rooms were really nice. I loved it so much that I would really love to stay there again!
Very close to where I was working
The room was tiny and the walls were paper thin. Cheap but not cheerful. Lucky i found another dive to reside in.
Perfect for somewhere inexpensive to say if you need to catch a flight at Heathrow airport. Bus stop a 2 minute walk from inn and bus takes you straight to terminals 1-5. Staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. Basic room but really warm and comfortable. Great WiFi
Walls are quite thin so you can hear people in the next room.
It was nice and warm
Very dirty place with poor facilities, dirty bath etc.
So close to Terminal 4, if you just need a bed for a few hours it is very handy. The wifi is handy too.
Very cheap facilities but what do you expect? The price is right
I'll never visit this site again. Is a shame that Booking.com has this place on it's records
Checking in time was until 11pm but I arrived at 12am. The door was closed and the light was off, I Knocked quite a while. But the person could come out and let me in with frendly manner.
The name which was known by local and which I knew in the website was different. It made a person who was in a taxi company confused and the conversation with her took 20min for expranation the place. I got a number from the hostel as I was told somebody would come and pick me up but it was the taxi company'S. The taxi driver could not find me who was at a place to be and I needed to wait 30min. He called my mobile phone but his English was not great and he could not explain properly where he was. The room was kept heater on which interrupted my sleeping. There was no hot water and I could not use shower. The room was extreamly small and I could not open my suit case.
it was looking dirty and more like a place you take a prostitute to when you cannot do without having sex and want to hide from your wife or from people who know you. A hide out you don't want friend to come and see you
The lady behind the bar was very friendly & helpful, beds were comfy.
The fact the room was the loft of a shed,& luxurious ensuite, left an awful lot to be desired.the advert on booking.com was very misleading, never the less, the friendlyness was overcome by the false advertising.
Clean, very friendly staff, good public transport links to the airport
Only sink was in communal sofa area
The hostel was ok, it wasn't dirty. Quite ok for this price
The location of the place was quite difficult... At the time I arived there weren't many buses and I had to wait for an hour for a suitable bus. The room wasn't very cosy and it was quite small. Lack of breakfast
It's easy to get early to Heathrow T5 from there.
Almost everything. Dirty and very untidy (showers are horrible: all things that are meant to be white are yellow to brown, all pegs are broken, nowhere to leave or hang your things there), apathetic stuff (because they are mostly busy running the pub), bad smells in the pub and on facilities, difficult to get there with public transport from London in evening hours, the WiFi connection was very weak in the room (better on the broken sofa in the dirty lobby). Absolutely not worthy 32 quid.
The owner was very helpful and very welcoming. Rooms were cosy and comfortable. Having a pub in the building is great to relax after a long day of travelling.
