Although I was scared coming up the drive way I was pleasantly surprised by how clean it was. It was also a very modern room. I was not expecting that. I would defiantly stay here again.
Menu and availability of evening meal. Setting adjacent to canal and marina. Quietness of bedroom despite being adjacent to road. Plenty of off road parking.
Nothing to say.
1.Having to use the Fire Escape to go to our room. 2. No Breakfast provided although we were told this before we went, 3. We had to make our own bed as the rooms were not cleaned daily 4. The on suite was not cleaned daily. 5. Only 2 towels were provided for 3 days, 6.Coffee and tea making facilities were on a windowsill and we had to boil the kettle on the floor as there was no table or cabinet at the side of the bed. 7. We only had one meal in the bar but it was not very good, The steak and ale pie was burnt and the chips seemed to be warmed up. All in all if there had been anywhere else we would not have stayed.
Bath had no shower facility Windows had no locks on Rain leaking onto ceiling Overpriced for room at £40 per night would except £20 a night
Cheap and cheerful, nothing fancy but very clean with enough tea/coffee etc. Staff friendly and very helpful. Beautiful area on the marina.
could do with bed side table with light near the bed and a room hair dryer would be great. For the price no complaints other than you cannot get breakfast there or nearby. Delves café in Thorne at the ponds however does a great breakfast and very reasonable with again friendly helpful staff.
Clean room and friendly staff. Convenient location for me. Wifi worked (unlike some more expensive hotels)
Tea Bags - I will bring my own next time. Would be good to have TV upgraded so that there is no need for the Freeview box which was taking the last power socket.
it was very friendly, the barman and lady were excellent hosts.made us feel really welcome.the room was of good standard with plenty of tea and coffee available.
The pub was good and the staff friendly and helpful
This is an odd 'hotel' which really offers basic homespun rooms suitable for dormitory workers. We were apparently locked upstairs overnight so we couldn't reach the bar downstairs with the option of leaving by the fire escape but not re-entering that way or into the downstairs doors which were locked at 10.00 in the morning. No breakfasts offered at all. Lots of tea and coffee in the room but the tea bags were awful. There were no instructions as to the security system ie key in code lock or to the wierd connection between the shower and the light cord in the bathroom. The light - and shower phased out at intervals. One room had no towels, the other had two very basic towels - no hand towels. Like a hostel really. Suspect the owner is a bit basic and watches his bottom line like a hawk. But his staff were lovely.
Good value for facilities available. Nice lot of regulars in the bar too.
Telly set-up still behind the times (not flatscreen) but was watchable, and made you use the pub.
