The Balmoral Hotel  

Staff and facilities were excellent.

My wife and I were made to feel very welcome on our arrival, and the staff we encountered were exstreamly helpful, I would recommend this hotel to any of my freinds and I will probably be back.

I love the style and architecture of the Hotel and the cleanliness The staff were more than helpful and the traditional atmosphere was very impressive. The Bed was very comfortable. Room Service was excellent The spa facilities were good, but prices for the treatments were too expensive to justify us using them.

I thought that the prices were very expensive. We paid £675 for 3 nights including one continental breakfast costing £34 This would certainly put us off re-visiting as we felt that other hotels offer very similar rooms at far less. This was for an executive room, which I expected would have been a larger, more impressive room for this money. Rather than on the fifth floor looking accross at rooftop offices. I feel that continental breakfasts should have been included in the price of the room, even if we had to pay a supplement for a full english breakfast.

Nothing. Everything was perfect!

Lovely traditionel old hotel, Entrance has impressive marble tiling. We enjoyed afternoon tea in the Bollinger bar, although was rather exprensive. Room was pleasant but not oustandingly luxurious which I would have expected. Although the bedding was. Bathroom was all marble had 2 sinks and a separate mirrored dressing table with a wired in hairdryer, which would have been excellent, except the hairdryer kept cutting out.

Room was badly thought out re mirrors plugs. you couldn't open the wardrobe door which had the full mirror on it. They should have placed it on the other door which did open fully. Meals and drinks very expensive. but to be expected I guess.

Friendliness of all staff, welcome & goodbye was complimentary , room was of good size & very comfortable & warm food was exelant pool etc was clean and warm. Will be back.

It's a traditional hotel with traditional values

The stay in this hotel was very pleasant and the hotel was very very luxurious. The bars were both very nice and the facilities and staff of the highest standard.

A few minor issues with the tv in room not working and having to pay for the internet. And finally the building work outside going on was very noisy and I would of expected to be made aware of this prior to arrival.

Very good Hotel with a great location and very Scottish atmosphere.
