Everything, the friendly staff, the food, the comfort and ambiance of the entire hotel. Excellent position of the hotel for sightseeing, shopping and just chilling out walking in the Princes Street Gardens. Nothing.

Very good hotel in tremendous central location. Particularly good is travelling by train as adjacent to the station. Close to all the shops, restaurants and a short stroll to the Royal Mile and Castle. Staff excellent throught.

Being rather disabled and having to spend much time in the room whilst my wife enjoyed shopping etc in town with family I had asked for a room with an interesting view and was disappointed with room 355.

The ambiance in general,the spacious room,the friendly and hepful staff,the food in the restaurants-although we did not eat in the gourmet restaurant on this occasion.-and the location. There was nothing that we found we did not like.

Absolutely everything. The attention to detail was amazing, from the lovely welcome at check-in to the Anniversary macaroons in the room for my parents. Every member of staff we met was lovely and friendly. A well deserved 5 star rating Nothing

The hotel in general is nice to stay if u have enough budget. Very close to train station and just a short walk to Royal mile and some other attractions. In addition, the food served in Number one restaurant were really delicious, could be the top rank of 1 Michelin starred I have had so far. If the accommodation price could include breakfast will be much better!

Excellent service & very luxurious. Four times we had to go to reception as our swipe key wouldn't work. Turn down service on the last night was offered @ 9.30pm ... we were already in bed. Limited seating in Hadriens Brasserie, twice we were turned away as there were no vacancies :(

We liked the warm welcome, the facilities and the location. The room was lovely. We were placed in room 150 and noise was very loud from outside which kept s awake.

Definitely best choice for Edinburgh. Have stayed at Balmoral 3 times already, and every time was an exceptionally pleasant experience. Love the superb location, warm and welcoming atmosphere, excellently polite and helpful staff, relaxing SPA area. Strongly recommend Number one restaurant for a delicious haute cuisine dinner.. They really need to do something to provide decent WiFi. Last time I had a problem with connection in my room (poor signal). And it definitely should be for free.

Excellent location, right on prices street and close to all the shops. Very clean and comfortable hotel. Stayed in the deluxe queen room and the bed is huge and comfortable.will definitely stay here again. The hotel is a little pricey. The butlers and concierge are a little bit annoying, the just keep staring at you as if you've done something wrong.
