The Barn House is a truly unique 5 star guesthouse situated in the picturesque village of Walkington, close to highway M62. All the rooms are hand painted in different themes from the Out of Africa room to the Eagles nest. There are actually 2 individual houses set in beautiful grounds complete with hot tub, sitting area and BBQ. The hotel prides itself on the friendly home away from home experience. The hotel offers breakfast, private dining, exclusive use, and conference facilities.

It would have been good to have wifi available in the bedrooms, larger TV in room and shower curtain in bathroom as water went on floor after shower and water was cold for my friend after I had a bath prior to her shower. Douglas Young couple tranmere, United Kingdom July 21, 2012	The staff were very friendly and the accomodation was clean and a little different Not really a dislike, but I stayed in the eagles nest which was a lovely room,,,, the information in my opinion dosent really describe the set up of the area, there are two rooms at one end and one at the other(eagle nest... in the middle you have the kitchen.. which opens out to a dining room then opens out to a seating area with flat screen tv... its all lovely we had it all to ourselves the first night because no one was staying in the other two rooms.... not sure i would have liked it if the other rooms were occupied with people i didnt know because our bedroom door opened out into the kitchen, saying that it would be grteat for all friends or family Did you find this review helpful?	7.9

The Barn House is in a great location in a very nice tranquil village, and there are several friendly pubs in the village serving good food. All very romantic!
