The room was clean and the staff were pleasant. Holts beer on handpull. Don't stay here unless you do not care about sleeping. It is extremely noisy and seems to be a long term B&B/Hostel accomodation not a hotel. You cannot park before 6.00pm as the car park is rented out to local office workers! TV did not work, as it had no reception. No food available.

I did like that it is close to Manchester Airport and that the person at the reception desk bar was helpful. I did not like the fact that you could hear clearly what was going on at the hotel pub... sound insulation sucks. I was not expecting to find out that the reception is the bar at the pub. I was told by the receptionist/ bar-tender, that a taxi to Manchester Airport is just 10gbp when in fact it did cost me 19gbp. Room window blinds are not effective at all.

Loved the facilities in rooms, ie. hot plates fridge, microwace, cooking utensils etc, everything needed to cook with. Think should be stated what is provided to enable you to take full advantage. Rooms were spotless. loved the bar. everything decorated nicely and very comfortable. nothing comes to mind!

The room was clean and clearly just newly refurbished. Bed linen was all newish. This was at odds with the rest of the accommodation. The actual hotel looked really run down and the stairway up to the room was very poor. We were met by the landlord of the pub who showed us up to our room, but he gave us a mobile number to contact him. Not sure if he (anyone?) was actually living there which made us wonder if we were completely alone in the hotel! There was no breakfast available. Landlord suggested the nearby Morrison supermarket as place to get breakfast.

The friendlyness of the manager. The location, which was ideal for me being just a very short walk to the station. There was a fair bit of road noise but I am a light sleeper and it didn't keep me awake.

Good price 2 min walk to Metro Rude staff Heating didn't work - freezing room in December!!! Shower dribbles water on you - hard to clean yourself! No phone in room so when false fire alarm went off could not communicate with staff to ask if this was indeed false alarm Staff knocking at room door at 10:30pm when we were falling asleep to ask if we needed towels/toilet roll??!!

Lovely, clean, warm (Autumn), comfortable small hotel. Handy for Altrincham. A little noisy due to proximity to the Railway. Needs to offer availability of food (breakfast and Evening meal).

The staff were absolutely lovely. All the facilities onsite were sparkling clean and simple yet stylish. I booked for a business week and have found myself wanting to go back just for the great acommodation. A stone's throw from all the city centre features. It is based right beside a noisy train station but I brought ear plugs to sleep with and didn't notice it.

Value for money and very clean and comfortable. Close to the railway station so I could walk and also close to town. Pam the manageress was so helpful and kind and a real bonus to my stay. It would not have been the same if she hadn't been there. Thanks Pam for making my stay so much fun. The lack of availablility of breakfast was a bit of a shame. I had to walk into the town and get it. It would have been nice to have had something in the cute little bar area where there are french doors and a patio.

The Barrington is a pub/hotel very near the Metro & bus station en route for Manchester. The staff were very kind & friendly & my room & en suite spotlessly clean. I can recommend this hotel as ideal for someone on business travelling solo. Very hood value for money. I cannot think of anything I disliked about the Barrington.
