Staff very friendly and helpful, nice clean room with clean bedding towels etc. parking good, closeness to trains and town excellent.
Train noise throughout the night was very loud even with ear plugs in.
Check in was the bar of the pub below. I felt very intimidated as a lone female by the atmosphere as I checked in. The room was shabby and smelled strongly of cigarettes. I did not feel safe or happy in the room so stayed elsewhere that night.
Clean, spacious rooms Comfy bed Friendly staff Easy access even at night with a coded door
Exterior of the building gives a bad first impression Old single glazed windows meant the room was cold at night, and quite noisy from the street and train line
Great area to get to both cricket and football. With your own mini kitchen in the room you can sort picnic food. Staff was nice friendly. it was clean and I will go back. The price was very good.
Loved easy access to trams during the day but they can be loud at night.
Cheerful place,handy for everything!
Sadly no food in the building.
It was nice and clean
had I of known this was also a pub I would not have booked this, also there is a train line right next to it which my room overlooked
It was next to the trmas allowing easy access to Manchester city centre. It was close to Altrincham city centre where there were a number of nice restaurants
bed was comfy. good easy to use shower.. tea coffee facilities.
toilet seat loose. overhead lights flickering didn.t like the stairwell. apart from arriving never saw anybody but the cleaner. noise from trains. no air conditioning
Comfy Bed and Pillow
Could hardly get anything on the TV (no Channel 1-5). Window opend about 3 inches and room was boiling hot. Noice from main road so shut window but made no difference still as loud. Blind pulls didnt work so pulled manually but so old didnt keep out any light.
Friendly staff. Plenty of parking.
Backed onto main railway line. Freight trains come through at 4.30am.
the self catering facilities available in our room
Having to leave window open because of the heat and therefore having to suffer the noise of the passing trains. A fan in the room would be helpful with this,
free parking included
milks in the tea and coffee were off so couldn't make a hot drink; shower was cold; blinds hung but not a good quality so the light is straight in as soon as sun rises and they have gaps so people can still see in window if changed in room; very noisy room as on the front of a busy road.
Very friendly.Would stay again or recommend.
No double glazing. Noise from the tram/train and people shouting in the early morning!
cheap and clean
no food, very noisy as next to railway
Friendly, free wifi
Not clean, delapitated, no double glazing, no air con, no fresh towels, no hangers no coat rails, no changed sheets, no breakfast or dinner facilities.........
Great bargain bed for the night. Super shower. Friendly staff.
the room itself was fine. Double bed, television, en suite bathroom with shower, side room, tea and coffee facilities. The staff member that we did speak to was very friendly. No problem with noise in our room (but we were on the third floor).
These are basically rooms above a pub, on several floors. You pick up a key from whoever is at the bar and that's pretty much the only person you'll ever see, you check out by putting the key in a metal box and they simply debit your credit card. So there's no service of any kind (and there's definitely no breakfast). That's not in itself a problem, and our stay (one night) was fine, but it's good to be aware of!
Good atmosphere with locals in bar.
No reception. Basically a pub with rooms. With no catering. No staff on duty outside licensing hours. Tired decor. Very narrow and steep stairs. No curtains and blinds that didn't work. Could have got better accommodation for less money elsewhere. E.g. Premier Inn or Travel Lodge.
Very noisy location....take ear plugs!
staff were excellent !! rooms are clean and big
Cheap. Clean and tidy. Near to work.
Noisey Trams all night. Street lighting coming through the blinds. Ear plugs and eye mask are required.
don't stay here!!
worst hotel I've ever stayed in my life. No curtains, only very thin blind ! - ok if you like sleeping the light sound of trams all night broken window was VERY LOUD don't stay here unless you an insomniac tram enthusiast
Window did not close Situated on main road as window did not close it was very noisey They need double glazing.
