Staff were very pleasant, accomodating and efficient, and no foreigners which is rare these days, not that it matters but it is nice to be able to communicate in normal english. Lovely food nice restaurant, Spacious comfortable room, would stay again without hesitation.

I think the staff made our stay what it was. Without them it would have been average, but they were really very nice and I would recommend it to anyone. I stayed in the hummingbird room, I think it is the smallest of the rooms, but it made it cosy. I'm pretty sure it's haunted, my boyfriend and I both saw something out of the ordinary, I guess that isn't a bad thing if you dont get scared easily, but I do. The restaurant was also pricey and not worth what we payed for our meal.

We stayed at the Bath Arms as we were going to Longleat, it was a good decision. The hotel is in the country and quite old but when you go to the rooms they are amazing, large, well furnished and as they describe it quirky, each room is different.I had the English Eccentric room, very comfy and the bathroom was quirky. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was excellent, I would recommend this hotel.

I booked this room as a last minute stay for my partner who was visiting the Aqua Sana Spa at Centreparcs Longleat, with her 18yo daughter. She was pleasantly surprised at how good the Bath Arms was. The staff were excellent and very friendly. It was an excellent location for Longleat and the Aqua Sana Spa (being on the Longleat Estate). The rooms all appeared to be very individually designed (She had the Peacock Room). Food was excellent, and even after having lovely Eggs Benedict for breakfast, she was still offered a full fry-up to follow if she fancied it! We would highly reccomend the Bath Arms for a short overnight Romantic get-away and are likely to keep it in mind for a future visit. Would have been useful for Breakfast to have been served/started a little earlier, as it didn't commence until 8am. However, that said, when arriving for Breakfast at 7:45am, the staff were serving already.

Unusual Hotel staff friendly, informal and atmosphere relaxed. My wife is allergic to chicken and they instaltly changed the pre-starter for her as a result, no fuss and very quick. We were there two nights and the hotel grew on us a lot. We had two rooms but no comfortably seating, none downstairs either. Whilst the staff were relaxed and informal we got the wrong water with dinner and when we dithered slightly (really briefly) the waiter said "I'll come back I've got a lot of things to do" !!!! No instructions on how to book spa facilities either, fortunately that didn't matter,

Privacy and cleanliness of bedroom. Location and ambience of common areas. The dinner was a great disappointment and had we known that the head chef was not on duty, we would have eaten elsewhere. At breakfast the fire place belched out smoke causing unpleasantness to those eating breakfast.

I loathed the low energy and low lighting. Could not read any of my papers. The dining room was almost stygian in its lack of light.

The hotel is in a loveley place in the country and a short drive to Longleat. The staff are very friendly and always asking if you are ok. The food and drinks selection is very good and the service is excellent. I did think the drinks were overpriced but, that wouldn't put me off going again.

Food was very expensive and more presentational than filling failed to deliver an iron and ironing board one morning (not available previous evening / could not find for some reason) failed to deliver a cooked breakfast for 5 people who were working on site - "we do not cook food before 8am" somewhat unreasonable we thought service throughout our 2 night stay extremely slow and laboured

Beautiful, individual hotel. The service was fantastic and staff were very helpful. The bathroom did not have a shower other than a shower head over the bath. Our particular room was set away from the hotel which was great, however, unfortunately you could hear everything from the room next door, suggesting the walls were 'thin' and had no sound insulation. The king-size bed was 2 single beds put together- not altogether comfortable due to the join in the middle.

Excellent service, lovely room and fantastic food. A real treat! Mattress wasn't very comfortable. Tv remote not working properly and many channels not available. Some DVDs provided by the hotel or available to hire would be a nice touch, since there's a dvd player in the room. These are very small niggles though and we had a fantastic night.

“From the moment we arrived we were greeted with the warmest of welcomes and waited on hand and foot, nothing was any trouble for the owners Roy & Cate; including understanding and doing everything they could to accommodate my girlfriends nut allergy when it came to ordering food which is all fresh and cooked on the premises. The decor was immaculate, especially in the room with a freestanding bath and 4 poster bed, this was more like staying in a hotel than a b&b! Couldn't have asked for anymore than the incredibly high level of service we got and at such a reasonable price too! Will definitely be returning here!!” Ian, Horsham |
