Staff, setting, food
The hospitality and effort made by staff for the special occasions we were celebrating! Thank you so much!
It's only a very small thing but unfortunately we had a terrible night's sleep because of the pillows.
We took a "premier deluxe room which gave us plenty of space with a sofa, coffee table, desk and small balcony. The garden is beautiful. We didn't hear any of our neighbors except when the were in the public halls. The staff, particularly in the dining room, tried hard to give excellent service.
The windows in the bedroom were left open a crack to prevent the room from getting hot. We needed special instructions to get the toilet to flush - two quick flushes in a row with the second flush being held down a second. It's a fairly long wait for lunch or a snack in the lunch area. especially a bottle of wine. The staff was usually better trained at formal presentation but not as good at simple friendly discourse.
Lovely setting and on the surface a very nice hotel.
For the expense there were a few niggles. Ordered breakfast and the order was wrong both days (when spending £50 for breakfast for two you would expect the correct order). Also when ordering room service there was no consideration as to the condiments necessary for a meal. Small things but necessary when spending premium amounts of money!
Loved the totally relaxed atmosphere of the hotel which had all the facilities we needed ,together with staff who do their job very well, making the experience all we could ask for.
No negatives !!
The fact that they provided everything we need for our 10 month old son. The staff were incredably friendly and helpfull, and the location could not have been better for what we needed.
The staff were exceptional, friendly and attentive. The room was amazing, indoor pool, gym, steam and sauna were relaxing. Our dinner in the restaurant was a gourmet experience and all of the staff were helpful and attentive to our every need. The food was divine. We had a massage in the spa to further relax. We had a wonderful stay there.
Very nice and kind staff. Good bathroom and high quality bath supplies. Antique room style. Nice and clean baby cot with an elephant made by bath towel inside. And also a big box full of baby toys!
Breakfast is too expensive and not worthy. The bottom of apple is not clean. Tissues in the bathroom has varnish smell. Bathrobe sleeve got some red marks.
Excellent staff and ambience. One small quibble which was easily remedied
Surely two blankets in a warm room are excessive. The extra blankets can be available in a cupboard
Bottled water Fruit Lovely L'OCCITANE bath products in room
The Priory is fantastic. Just changed owners but some great staff have stayed thank goodness. Its a sign of good management if they can keep good staff on. The Chef's magical. Expensive, (Relatively speaking) But worth it. We will be back soon.
Our room (Azalea) was OK for us but I wouldn't recommend it if you were not flight of foot. The stairs are small and narrow but the room is beautiful. We're working our way through all the rooms. Had to wait ages to check in but they were short staffed I guess.
My wife and had one of the best dinners during our 3 week trip in Europe.
The ambiance,location attention to detail.
The reception staff were attentive but short staffed. We wanted to purchase some jewlery but no one knew how to switch off the alarmed cupboard. Did not let housekeeping know I had checked in and so the bed was not put down or slippers etc put out. There was no plug near a mirror to use the hairdryer. Wrong paper delivered. The room in question was Azeala
Food is superb and great value for money
Stretching it a bit to call it a spa
Our room and the service .
Nothing comes to mind.
We loved the beautiful terrace and grounds, our lovely room, and the spa facilities all housed in a charming old building. I relished swimming outdoors at the end of September, then going inside for the sauna and indoor pool. The food was delicious, and the staff friendly and helpful while professional.
Trip was planned in January as a treat for my partner. We visit Bath at least once a year and I wanted something special as she had just finished chemotherapy for cancer......and that is what we got. amazing place......many thanks to the fantastic team......just about to book again!
TV out dated, having 3 children we seldom get time to chill out watching a movie, something we look forward to doing wen on a weekend away together,
The garden was beautiful.
The room was a little small and tired, especially some of the pictures and furniture. The diner was very poor, the fish and the grouse lacked taste. Except for the head waiter the rest of the staff were poor and did not seem to understand the need to give a complete experience. As an example they did not hold our chairs when we sat down. The meal was overpriced for the quality of the cooking.
No milk for coffee. Did not replenish fruit
Everything. Lovely room, superb resturant, fine wine selection, Garden, Gym and Spa treatment centre. Everything Attention to detail
nothing to not like
Spa facilities are great and the pool is lovely and warm. The rooms are spotless with luxury toiletries and the quality of bedding is second to nine. Staff are very friendly and attentive.
Would of liked more choices on dinner menu but that's just my preference
Among the better hotels we have stayed at. Check-in took place almost literally in the car park: they took our car key, showed us around the property and took us to our room. Our luggage was already there and our car parked for us. The room itself was spacious and immaculately clean. Staff very helpful and polite. Elegant and classy place.
Separate hot and cold water taps instead of a "mixer" in the washbasin.
Excellent helpful and friendly staff. Great food.
Parking is a bit limited but assistance was provided very promptly.
