Great staff and service. The hotel restaurant is worth a visit. Not far from the town centre - 20 min walk - but at least parking is complimentary which is a plus.
Tiny shower. No bath. Bathroom had disabled access which was unnecessary.
Requested a twin room... Beds were almost touching
The room, gardens, food, staff, and the fitness area.
Nothing that I didn't like.
The service, the food, the staff, the decor, the gardens.
That we couldn't live there.
Everything about this stay was first class.. Professional and friendly staffNothing was to much trouble...
Only stayed one night.. Not nearly long enough....
Staff Preparation to room
All the hotel standards were exceptionally good, but none more than the service and manners of the staff
Having to check out!
Beautiful place. Luxurious.
That they do not take children over 10 for dinner in their nice restaurant but the food was great in the pantry
Atmosphere food quality and taste helpfulness location gardens rooms
Food was overall wonderful the presentation top notch our room ( magnolia ) was spacious with a view of the fine garden area. Beautiful!
everything but the stairs to the accommodation.
The place is very well kept, great property, very relaxing and feels very classy and high quality. The restaurant is good as is the bar. The staff are excellent!
The location is a little further out of town then I would like but it's still easily commutable.
Rooms, furniture in rooms, lack of modern facilities, worn carpets - need for investment, high prices.
Lovely calm and quietly organised - there were no awkward moments - the whole stay was blissful.
The interior both inside and outside. The garden is lovely and the outside swimming pool was also great. Recommend delicious dinner outside in the evening. Nice localization, beautiful walking tour to the city.
Quality experience of the highest calibre. Home from home with first rate staff to anticipate your every need.
The weather on this occasion meant sitting on the terrace wasn't an option!
The reception staff were first class and the rooms and garden beautiful
The food was good but not as hot as it should have been. It was disappointing in a restaurant of this standard to have to ask for our wine glasses to be topped up.
Myself and my husband turned 50 this year and decided to test ourselfs to a few days at the priory, We had the best time and were even upgraded. We couldn't fault anything. We ate in the restaurant one evening and had the taster menu which was absolutely fantastic. Can't wait to have another special occasion so that we can return.
Attention to detail....great customer service!
Friendly and helpful service as well as the comforts of a top class hotel.
Being too far out of the centre of the city to walk and difficult to locate when driving. Room small and without a bath. Not what I had expected for the amount if money I paid.
The treatment was personal and individual from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt pampered. One of the best and most personal hotels we have stayed in. The grounds and garden spa were superb as well.
Would have benefitted from some information regarding facilities in the room.
I felt the reception ie the first impression was not great but a lively hotel.
Pretty much everything! The room, the facillities, the staff.
The wi-fi was a bit iffy.
luxurious feel and gardens amazing walkable to city centre if you are fit personal requests prior to arrival
expensive £65 per head for set meal tasting menu £100 wine very expensive with nothing short of £30 Afraid £6.50 for a bottle of local ale is a joke as is £10 for 1x G and T asking for fresh milk and no fridge in room no green tea available no wifi in room ventilation in rooms poor and noise from traffic if staying at front of hotel
Customer service is excellent. Luxury hotel amazing grounds...
