Breakfast Room Staff
In a good location 2 minute off m5
Shower in bathroom leaked badly and had obviously been doing so for some time. Shower head pipe broken. Room in need of decoration. Very disappointed overall and would not go again. Bar area rundown and wires hanging everywhere. I would not recommend to my family and friends.
The room was great, the bathroom was tired peeling, flaking paint and smelt a little damp. Otherwise it was good value for money.
Resturant was closed so had to venture out for dinner. Reception was not manned when we arrived, the bell did not work and the numbers to call went straight to answer machine, waited for 20mins before someone turned up.
Very small room and bed was not very comfortable
The reception helped me with my bag, the building is on a hill with a good view, the breakfast is superb, showers are powerful & hot, very friendly staff
The radiators in the room were off early in the evening, but it was warm enough in the room.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were very well looked after
Temperamental toaster! First breakfast from the servery was only warm. Resolved by the second being freshly prepared to order :)
The wonderfully roomy and well appointed bedroom. The spa bath. The welcoming log fire in the bar. The beautifully served breakfast.
No restaurant - that being said the sandwiches and wedges etc available at the bar were excellent.
I have stayed at the hotel before which is perfect location for me to visit family. Its very clean and staff helpful.
Breakfast this time was a bit sparse. Had to make own toast which took ages, no croissants. Poached egg was hard.
Nice hot tasty breakfast
We felt that the hotel was a little scruffy in some areas & needed a bit of TLC. The waitress could have been more informative about the hot beverages/juice/toast etc.
Nice room - stunning view across the Somerset Levels. Excellent breakfast - had a busy day outdoors ahead and the food was sufficient to last until after sunset! Standard Freeview tv with no channels deleted, unlike some London places.
Could not access wifi, but not a great disadvantage at weekend.
Great value - nice location
We have stayed before and enjoyed a quiet, nights sleep in a comfortable room with a lovely breakfast. Helpful staff and all at a very reasonable price. We will be back!
The bar being closed at 10.00 on a Saturday evening - understand that this can happen but it would have been nice to have been told on check in.
Breakfast was lovely
It was such a shame that there was no hot food offer on in the evening. The last thing I wanted to do was to go out after working and being on my feet all day!
My daughter and son-in-law stayed for one night, they did not want to leave. Would stay again.Great value for money.Lovely room.
The only disappointment was they couldnt get a meal in the restaurant, only bar snacks are served?? The food they had was very enjoyable though.
Staff were very friendly and efficient. Clean and functional.
Bed was too short - I'm 6'1 and my ankles were hanging out of the bed! Also, just couldn't get the shower to function properly, annoying!
Surrounded by lovely countryside yet a short distance from the motorway. Rooms are nice, staff friendly, place was quiet and relaxing.
The mattress was a bit hard for our taste but we know most people prefer that - so not a problem for the majority.
The location to M5.
Lack of contact with staff after hours.
The hotel, very pleasant staff, rooms very clean. Lovely scenery from all around the Hotel. Plenty of parking. Really enjoyed our stay.
Just one minor thing as much as the breakfast was excellent, and we had to help ourselves. We all missed the teapot being put on the table, did not like using a flask of hot water that was left on the side, not always hot.
Situation was excellent. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Good breakfast. We would use this hotel again.
Room was cold for 14th november there was no heating on in the bedroom or in the wet room. we are both over 80 and it was very cold, particularly for a disabled room'
Friendly and welcoming staff, very good breakfast
Location: close to Weston-super-mare. Breakfast: free depending on your booking. Plentiful for those with small appetite but pastries, yoghurt, cereals, bread and spread, juice and hot drinks are available too. Cleanliness: excellent. Heating: comfortable
Location: hotel road signage is small for a busy road. Comfort: mattress is worn out. you can feel the springs. Noise: footsteps from the corridor.
Nice contemporary room
Poor Wi-Fi - very slow connection, stopped working at 9.30 Couldn't provide more than sandwiches following my arrival at 8.30. Recommended local pub but had been driving 4hrs so wasn't convenient TV wouldn't receive BBC1, BBC2 or ITV1 NO HOT WATER in the morning Very half baked apology for the issues and would not offer any form of reduction on the room rate
no evening meal available, could not park on Thursday night due to a large function and not informed
Breakfast well cooked. Room very spacious and warm Plenty of parking space
Furniture tired, Bath towels very small and quite thin. TV very small for the size of the room. Pillows very small. No facility for evening meal except bar snacks
