Friendly clean staff. Great food. Peaceful and relaxed. Room clean and well serviced although hot even with windows open.
The duvet...it was so heavy didnt like it at all.
Twin room at the back of the hotel, good breakfast, friendly staff, good value.
Noisy bathroom fan and motorway at the front of the hotel, cheap bedding.
lovely setting, rooms very good Had an evening meal in restuarant which was very good. Breakfast was excellent everything you would want fir breakfast.
A bit isolated , nothing much at Burnham on sea which was 4 mikes away. But a very good place to spend the night on the way to cornwall.
Close to burnham and brean. Close to m5. Room excellent had everything we needed for our stay. Staff friendly, welcoming and more than accommodating. Plenty of parking. Lovely conservatory area for eating our breakfast. Great views.
In the evening the entrance to the hotel is a little dark. Driveway leading up to hotel needs attention due to many deep pits.
Love the location and proximity to motorway. The different rooms I have stayed in have always been of a high standard.
Bed small-more like a 3/4
Pleasant staff. Breakfast good.
loved the setting, staff first class, food very good one of the best hotels have staid in, will go back
nothing to dislike
Friendly staff Comfortable bed Spa bath English breakfast
Friendly staff and clean room
Some of the food in the evening was disappointing but breakfast was lovely
Staff excellent, 4 poster bed very comfortable. Food glorious. Position of hotel great, lovely views. Bar and dining room staff extremely friendly and helpful.
Booked last room and no disabled facilities. Had to climb lots of stairs. Unable to get into bath or shower over bath, needed shower room cos of disabilities. Drink very expensive.
Easy to find, lovely quiet location but not far off motorway. Friendly staff, good food.
Staff very friendly and professional, excellent food with pleasant dining room atmosphere
Nothing I didn't like
Nice breakfast, friendly staff, relaxing environment, great grounds, handy for the motorway.
When we arrived the carpet in the bedroom was dirty with lots of what appeared to be small traces of confetti. Sadly the small pieces of confetti resembled traces of toilet paper or tissue and we could not get the image out of our mind. We asked for the carpet to get an extra special vacuum but the result remained poor. There was a great bath upstairs on the mezzanine level but the stairs made a horrible creaky noise. When you crept upstairs in the middle of the night for the toilet the noise woke any one else in the room. The first night there was a wedding party going on downstairs and it was difficult to get near the entrance to unload our luggage. It was hot, we had to have the windows open and the noise carried on until the early hours of the morning. We finally got to sleep after 01:30
Staff friendly and helpful, food good too. Plenty of parking, lovely grounds.
Shaver point didn't work noise of music from the restaurant at 6.30am, walls were thin, shower didn't work properly, overcharged for dinner, bed linen really old fashioned, out of the 70s! Room dirty, bits of dried food on the lampshade and phone, needed a good hoovering.
This hotel is near the A38 (and the M5), and near Burnham on Sea where I wanted to be.
The hotel is in the country, there are no other restaurants or bars in the area, so if you don't like the hotel, you're stuck
Great room and excellent food
Wifi almost non existent
At the discounted rate of £50 the room was perfectly priced, the rooms clean and tidy and the complimentary tea/coffee very welcome. When additional coffee and semi-skimmed milk was requested, more sachets and a little jug of milk was provided. The breakfast options were excellent and the service very good. The hotel was purely a base for exploring and sightseeing and for this it was ideal.
The complimentary tea/coffee only came with full-fat milk or cream, there was not enough room to hang all the towels overnight so they had to go on the floor, the TV didn't have any radio stations or an info button, the sani-flow toilet was noisy, the Wi-Fi connection very slow and temperamental and the zed bed provided as the third bed was a little shaky (not worth an extra £20 per night in my opinion). At £50 per night I didn't complain as we were only there for two nights, but at £100 I'm sure I would have done.
had to make own bed on arrival as bedroom had not been cleaned after previous occupants.
Good staff, room fine and food good
Pretty, quaint, pleasant helpful; staff
No way of cooling the room in July heat! Oddly placed steps that you can easily trip over. Breakfast food service really. really slow !
Rooms suited both families, all with children of various ages. Breakfast good.
Carvery was not open even though the web site said it should be so had to eat from the main menu which didn't have a children's selection. However, the chef did do smaller portions for the children so all worked out ok.
We noticed a strong focus on wedding reception services. The hotel has a room full of wedding goodies to choose from and hire should you have your reception here. The gardens are very pretty and well maintained and feature a wooden gazebo for photos and winding paths. The restaurant is elegant and is located in the hotels conservatory where sheer swags line the ceiling to give the feel of being in a marquee. We stayed in a four poster room. The views were nice, bed comfy and modern bathroom with powerful shower. The only point that lets the room down is the fact there are no black out curtains or blinds consequently letting in too much light at night.
Nothing except the lack of black out curtains.
Nice welcome. Lovely meal and breakfast, good clean room, great service, friendly staff.
Room very small but adequate.
I loved every part of this hotel, scenery is excellent, staff are great, rooms are lovely and great value for money, breakfast was lovely. Would definitely stay again!
We had trouble with a couple next door who were shouting throughout the night. The only thing is the thin walls but no other complains. The staff did deal with this which was helpful
