Location, relaxed atmosphere, friendliness of staff.
Room too warm, bed uncomfortable. Position of TV could have been better.
A very warm welcome and greeting on arrival. Staff were always very attentive and you felt they would do anything at all to help you, nothing was too much trouble. Great food served in the evening, and equally so for breakfast. Everything was clean, and in order. Not easy to fault at all.
Lovely location right by the waterside. Very friendly and helpful staff who couldn't do enough for me. Excellent food.
Slightly difficult to find without a Sat Nav.
go to the bay horse once a year to meet relaitions, never been dissapointed. always have a loveley meal everybody enjoys it. great choice of food for breakfast if you can eat it after the meal the night before.(good portions) this time room was quite small but very comfortable slept very well. lots of hot water for shower at any time. looking forward to next year.
Greeting by the staff. Service Breakfast was excellent. Dinner menu very varied with a good choice of the vegetarian options.
The main courses were very expensive for a pub restaurant but were of a high quality
The location of the hotel, the friendliness of staff and excellent food.
Cobwebs on the bedroom ceiling.
The food is seriously good (not cheap though), worth a trip there just for that. Staff are wonderful, facilities great, stunning location.
The food was outstanding both evening meal and breakfast
I did not think the room was worth £100. Didn't look like it had been hoovered recently and decoration was dated. Also thought the lady in charge should keep her voice down whilst telling off staff.
Location and the stunning views Breakfast was excellent in the gorgeous conservatory loved the balcony but not private as people could walk right past your window.
Nothing..absolutely loved our stay
The view across the estuary was stunning at any time of the day but particularly whilst enjoying breaking in the conservatory at sunrise, or dinner in the restaurant at sunset. The hotel is not modern and the decoration is somewhat old but this adds to the appeal.
The view from our room over Morecombe Bay was stunning at sunset and in the early morning. The food at dinner and breakfast was excellent. The staff were very pleasant and welcoming.
Décor in the hotel was a little old-fashioned, but didn't spoil our stay.
views, staff, peacefulness
driving through an industrial estate to get to hotel. Very dated decor. slightly overpriced i think
The beautiful views across the bay if you have a balcony
the bar wasn't open when we arrived back after a night in Unlverston.
We had a comfortable night, Staff were friendly & helpful. We had a lovely time & the breakfast was great. The location was outstanding.
The double bed though comfortable we found small. We are used to a king sized bed at home. The bedroom though very well furnished was small. Also the cost of the meal, again well cooked, we found expensive compared to the Fylde restaurants. We have a 4 * apartment which costs £70 per night for a twin room, with lounge & decking area, kitchen, large bathroom with walk in shower & Jacuzzi. There is a food starter pack with bread ,butter, cereal, biscuits, tea, coffee, sugar & milk. Either we are too cheap or you are too expensive.
The location and food was excellent
Great views from the bedroom and conservatory over the bay, the food is fab we had steaks and would recommend, very nice pleasant staff and a comfortable olde world bar to relax in.
The location has pros and cons it is peaceful and relaxing but is not really near enough the town centre to stroll into.
Superb views from room overlooking the estauary Excellent food in restaurant Nice balcony area to sit outside All staff pleasant and friendly
Rooms are a little small Large fan in wardrobe space - took up nearly half the storage space
Fantastic views, very relaxing watching the tide flow in and out. A good base for exploring the area, plenty of places to view.
That I couldn't stay longer
Room overlooking the Leven estuary part of Morecambe Bay - sitting on the veranda watching the racing tide just yards away. They served the best breafasts I think I have ever had. The evening meal was top notch - local food really well cooked and presented. Staff very friendly and well trained.
Couldn't say a little longer.
The view, the Location, the Evening food, the evening staff
How slow breakfast is and how slow check out is (Lazy staff)
Booked the Bay Horse on a whim just to get away for the night and what a fantastic choice . Overlooking the Leven Peninsula the views are stunning . Had a sea view room with balcony - spotless , modern , very comfortable and beautifully decorated . Bar , restaurant and food all exceptional , top quality . Staff very friendly and most helpful, For a quiet and tranquil break away this is the ultimate place with beautiful surroundings just a mile out of Ulverston itself , highly recommend The Bay Horse Hotel to anyone , thank you to staff for a wonderful stay :-)
very friendly and helpful staff
Good food, good service, excellent location.
Lovely to find great customer service. Friendly peaceful hotel with a great breakfast and nice location.
Some updating would help in some of the bedrooms.
Nice spot. Room comfortable. Staff friendly. Food good. Good range of drinks.
Have stayed a few times but didn't think the food was as good as in previous years. Think the restaurant could do with an upgrade.
