The room was tiny, the door wouldnt shut propperly, the shower was terrable The bed tiny, the room tiny Very poor, i complained in the morning but no one contacted mt to duscuss my complaint The breakfast was good and the guy behind ghe bar and who served me breakfast was fine
The owners were welcoming and very friendly
I stayed there with my 12 year old daughter we had a few issues there was no loo roll also the mugs in the room were not very clean there was no bath towels when we arrived we were also sirprised how early the doors were shut in the evening .
Views and location were superb. Staff very friendly and dining room and sun terrace gave wonderful views over sea. Food very good.
Very uncomfortable bed and bathroom was miniscule! No heating in bathroom and no where to put toiletries etc. Toiletries not supplied by hotel. Late check-in and early check-out
position was very good, parking was good, staff were very pleasant
bathroom was a bit small, the bed was comfy but really creaked everytime you moved
Booked a last minute get away to get relieve the stresses of home and being in such a lovely location, with welcoming staff & a cosy environment was exactly what we needed
Location was perfect staff were friendly..!!!
Nothing bad.. But the mixer taps past their best and very sensitive resulting in a poor shower..!!! Bed very bouncy rather than comfortable.. but I am spoilt. I'm used to a very comfortable king size at home..!!!
rooms staff and food was exelent and will be going back again
Although furniture in the room was old but I find bed comfortable for myself.
No cleanliness, I had to literally push the door to open to get in to room. Soap was not changed. I guess the service is what you paid for the room. Breakfast cannot be served before 830am hence not suitable for those who are staying for work purpose. Shower was toooo slow.wifi signals not available on 1st floor rooms as told.
Very friendly staff , lovely outside seating area to enjoy a drink looking over the sea. Good cooked breakfast ( now including orange juice ). Would love to stay again.
If I have to say anything mirrors and glass doors need good clean with white vinegar ! But wouldn't stop me coming again !!
Lovely location of dining room and terrace with marvellous views. We enjoyed our breakfasts. Room was very comfortable and nice and quiet. Very attractive in its style and roomy with good ensuite facilities. We really enjoyed our stay.
Very few staff around probably because we visited out of season. Dirty towels were left lying on the corridor floor outside our room from when the maids had cleared out a room from early evening until lunchtime the next day. Also a number of lights were not working in the corridors leading to our room. They were meant to switch on as you walk along the corridor but several didn't come on so parts of the corridors were in darkness.
Room was basic. No toilet roll holder and toilet roll not stocked up on arrival. Furniture dated. Pay on arrival instead of paying at the end of our stay. Breakfast was all cooked food, would have been nice to have the option of cereal, fruit and yoghurts. Not very good service when there wasn't enough cups and cutlery on the breakfast table
Close to town, and you could walk to the beach which was on the doorstep, albeit a steep walk back lovely sea views.
we did not dislike anything about the hotel
Good location, good value ,friendly helpful staff.quiet and relaxing
No hairdryer Mixer shower head difficult to control
The location was within a stones throw of the beech, and lovely view of the sea from the restaurant and patio area.
If i have to be picky the only couple of things which could help the Bayhouse get more recognition is, The baked beans on the breakfasts in the morning could be hotter( I am a Chef by trade, so can be fussy) And the water could be abit hotter when having a shower. These are minor details, but on the whole the stay at the Bayhouse overall was very enjoyable, and many thanks to the jones for making our stay a memorable one.
Never been to the Isle before but we will back We are sure the new owners of the Bayhouse will further improve on what is already a pleasant place to stay We certainly will recommend this as a good base
There is nothing not to like
loved decoration in bedroom, very origonal !
frendley staff will come back
needs a little paint job and tidy up
Everything,,,,,,, We totally enjoyed our stay here what a wonderful view - near to all the amenities. We couldn't have picked a better place. Some lovely restaurant's if you like Italian a visit to Mama Mia is a must - the food was delicious and very good value for money, Can't wait to come back next year. You won't be disappointed. Bring walking shoes
The location was nice being close to the lift to the beach and a nice afternoon tea cafe just down the road.
Our beds didn't appear to have been made since the last guests were there. The bottom sheet was crumpled as though someone had had a restless night and the top bedding was just squashed by the wall. There were unsightly stains on the pillowslip. The room was tiny and it was difficult to put down our suitcases. There was no wifi in the room. To get any we had to sit in the reception area. The staff were very impersonal with a different person there each time you went past. We would not stay there again.
Lovely staff Beautif location
Great location with a lovely walk down to the beach and amenities, Really nice clean hotel run by a very welcoming and helpful family. Breakfast was great and the restaurant and terrace overlooking the sea made it really memorable. We had the family room/s and my 5 yr old loved the bunk bed and the seaside themed decor. Louise kindly set up a travel cot for my youngest at no extra charge
Not much to dislike!
we arrived at the bayhouse earlier than we should have been able to get into our room just to ask if we would be able to have breakfast & was told no problem also you can have your room now instead of 4pm this is what we call excellent service
the hill to get to & from the hotel as my wife suffers from back problems
Would definitely recommend this place - great location right on the coast and a short walk to the beautiful village centre. Staff were very friendly and helpful - recommended a couple of really nice restaurants for us. Breakfast was good too with a nice view across the bay. Wifi was accessible in the bar, not in the rooms...but who cares when you're on holiday? Loved it!
Breakfast View Location
Cramped room Poor shower No wifi in room Slightly shabby decor
Louise and her family were very accommodating and excellent host. Breakfast was decent. Location outstanding, could not have asked for a better view of beach and landscape.
Could feel springs comming through mattress. Glass in shower had old soap scumb when we arrived...this was never cleaned for the 2 days we were there! Would visit again if these are sorted out.
