Amazing location , great staff, great food and great facilities
Bude's finest establishment. Zero complaints.
Seriously cannot find a fault.
The location of the hotel is fabulous. We had a beautiful room at the front with balcony and sea view - well worth paying extra for. Room was decorated to a very high standard, walk in shower and double sinks added to the fact that this genuinely is a 'luxury' hotel. Staff and food both first class.
Reception was extremely helpfull and very welcoming Lovely room with stunning views
Only niggles are for £140 a night room there were no extra blankets ( I suffer from the cold ) bathroom window wouldn't fully close and only 2 tea bags ( no biscuits
Fantastic location and sea views to die for. Definitely worth paying for deluxe room with sea view. Reception and bar staff were so helpful and friendly. Fabulous extra large comfortable bed! Breakfast was lovely and served until 11am so very civilised.
Don't get caught out as hotel did not serve food on Sunday evenings.
Spacious, newly refurbished, quiet room with comfortable bed, large TV and well fitted bathroom.
Not much! A few biscuits on the in-room tea tray would have been appreciated. I booked a room for £110 assuming it was B&B, then on arrival discovered breakfast was an extra £25 for 2.
Last minute decision to stay here for our wedding anniversary and a excellent choice it was. Friendly staff and a very nice breakfast in the morning.
Staff Food Comfort Decor
Superb Conversion from the old Summerleaze Hotel - great terrace and balconies. Staff very helpful and friendly especiallt Sandra the manager who went out of her way to make up for one or two small problems we had
Breakfast - the cooked food not too my liking Too fancy, with bacon and sausages too spicy. Having large parties of guests, esp. those with children ( allowed to run around wherever !) all seated at one big table, made the room very, very noisy
The view. The quality of the fittings. The food. The service.
Having to leave!
location friendly staff comfort bar and terrace area balcony to bedroom
lack of parking wait for breakfast on first day cleaning of reception area while we were eating breakfast
Staff very friendly and very helpful and willing to help. Hotel very clean and comfortable.
Door lock. Noise of air conditioner? On wall below room. No hook inside bathroom.
Parking is a bit Hit and Miss (Pardon the Pun).
The location of this hotel is perfect, within reach of the beach and canal and the town. The room was luxury and the bathroom was fantastic, breakfast was to die for, superb, loved it.
We paid £150 a night and the view was sainsburys car park, would have liked a better view
Loved the room , comfy bed, balcony, friendly staff...have already booked again or next year!!
Dinner menu a bit OTT..too many mixtures of flavours/dishes. We eat all over the world in 5*+ venues..[The Ritz still the favourite!] but couldn't find anything to tittilate the palate on this menu....but the cocktails are great!!
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful Breakfast excellent Room and facilities were top notch and view from our first floor balcony was superb Lovely bar terrace
Service at breakfast on our first morning was incredibly slow Floors in bar were being mopped at 8.30am while guests were walking through to get to and from breakfast
Comfortable bed!! Really well designed and well furnished with everything thought through. Super staff. Great breakfast. Nice ambiance in the bar
Delays in the kitchen for fairly average food.
Size of double bedroom & bathroom Lovely toiletries Breakfast good quality food & choice. Friendly staff
Twin room cramped & hot
The facilities, staff and location were excellent.
The food menu for evening meals was very expensive and a little too niche for us, but for others it may make a nice change to the norm.
The room and view were perfect, everything you wanted was there.
The only draw back was breakfast time, breakfast itself was very good but considering that there are only 15 rooms the waiting time was quite long and the time it took to clean away tables and relay with all you needed was similar. Example, you ask for a pot of tea, which was brought to the table but you didn't have any cups to drink from. Staff very friendly but maybe not to organised.
Location and views Dinner Breakfast Bathroom Room 1
Issues on arrival (avoidable) Lack of air conditioning Reactive rather than pro-active staff Mis-communication Room 9
Very friendly and helpful staff; great views from sea-facing rooms; ours with large balcony; excellent breakfast.
Parking awkward, especially for a larger vehicle.
Good sunny location
Parking not great
The only negative was service a little slow
The balacony. The breakfast Wonderful tapas Helpful staff
The web site stated that there could be an extra person in the room adult or child for £30 a night. The manager disputed this. The web site was changed during our stay after I Had pointed this out. I found this rather deceptive.
