Staff were extremely friendly and helpful Breakfast excellent Room and facilities were top notch and view from our first floor balcony was superb Lovely bar terrace
Service at breakfast on our first morning was incredibly slow Floors in bar were being mopped at 8.30am while guests were walking through to get to and from breakfast
Comfortable bed!! Really well designed and well furnished with everything thought through. Super staff. Great breakfast. Nice ambiance in the bar
Delays in the kitchen for fairly average food.
Size of double bedroom & bathroom Lovely toiletries Breakfast good quality food & choice. Friendly staff
Twin room cramped & hot
The facilities, staff and location were excellent.
The food menu for evening meals was very expensive and a little too niche for us, but for others it may make a nice change to the norm.
The room and view were perfect, everything you wanted was there.
The only draw back was breakfast time, breakfast itself was very good but considering that there are only 15 rooms the waiting time was quite long and the time it took to clean away tables and relay with all you needed was similar. Example, you ask for a pot of tea, which was brought to the table but you didn't have any cups to drink from. Staff very friendly but maybe not to organised.
Location and views Dinner Breakfast Bathroom Room 1
Issues on arrival (avoidable) Lack of air conditioning Reactive rather than pro-active staff Mis-communication Room 9
Very friendly and helpful staff; great views from sea-facing rooms; ours with large balcony; excellent breakfast.
Parking awkward, especially for a larger vehicle.
Good sunny location
Parking not great
The only negative was service a little slow
The balacony. The breakfast Wonderful tapas Helpful staff
The web site stated that there could be an extra person in the room adult or child for £30 a night. The manager disputed this. The web site was changed during our stay after I Had pointed this out. I found this rather deceptive.
Shower in our room was excellent.
order for our breakfast was very poor by the staff , staff at the kitchen got it wrong 3 times, by the time all our hot breakfast was cold as ice. need to improve on serving breakfast.....
Beautifully decorated and felt very luxurious. Perfect for a weekend away. The views are beautiful and we will definitely be back.
Wifi wasn't great.
Everything about The Beach at Bude suited us perfectly. Our room was clean and spacious with a fantastic bathroom, with freestanding bath looking out to the bay. The linen was excellent quality. Loads of storage space, an outdoor deck with views and a daily sunset to drink wine with! The breakfast was more than we needed, and the staff were unfailingly helpful and courteous, especially Angela and Jocelyn. We miss the place already!
great rooms, nice location. friendly staff
The location and the balcony though a parasol would have made it more user friendly.
Unless you wanted a cooked breakfast, which took 20 mins to arrive when we were there, there wasn't enough choice.
The initial impact and general cleanliness of the hotel. The location and sea view Room size
The hotel seemed to be over staffed. The staff although quite pleasant appeared 'untrained' and aware of their duties. The hotel needed a hands on duty manager to react to guest queries
Great service and amazing location, making the most of the sea views. Elegant design and attention to detail.
A stylish hotel with welcoming, warm, friendly and helpful staff. The room was spotlessly clean and well designed and the view from the restaurant was great.
No evening meal on Sunday.
location is great. The room and view were great.
An average tasting cocktail. Cleanliness in the room was OK. Previous tissues on the floor and old toiletries in the shower. the chef bought the food out!? Staff were sometimes distant and not engaging.
Made to feel at home. ideal setting
I asked for a King Size bed and that is what I got.The room was OK apart from my comments concerning the ceilings which intruded into the room dramatically.
Not sure about the intruding ceilings from the dormer windows,I feel that in the dark you could bash your head. Would have liked sum grab handles in the bathroom to aid entry and exit to the shower as the bath was quite deep. Also a minor point, the positioning of the tall mirror in the bed room was too close to the floor which meant I was unable to see in it. This is a common problem due to the mirrors being fitted by short people!!!!. Anyone over 6ft tall would be unable to use the mirror which is pointless.
The décor was lovely. The outside sitting area was very nice to sit and have a glass of wine. Beds nice and comfortable
Parking was difficult. Restaurant nice but quite pricy.
All round excellent service and comfort. Staff all very friendly.
Comfortable and stylish. Very friendly staff.
Quiet location, friendly staff, modern decor.
Limited dinner menu. Limited parking.
