Score from 99 reviews Wonderful
Great location for town seafront and steam railway. Car park next to hotel £5 per day. Nicely decorated clean hotel. Staff go above and beyond to assist. Breakfast lovely. Dinner only a few days a week. Not open every day.
Didn't realise dinner only a few days a week. Not open every day. Small bed in upgraded room.small thing but no mirror near a plug to use hair dryer.
The Beach Hotel was beautifully decorated. Lovely, airy, light throughout. It looks especially welcoming at the moment, as its full of festive decor. 'I really love the modern but comfortable feel'. Our room was 'a room with a view'. It was again beautifully decorated. Very clean and the bedroom had a huge comfy bed, looking out to the choppy sea's. We had everything we wanted. And the staff were second to none. They could not do enough for us. Manager Charlie made sure everything was just right, even down to the lovely table at dinner. Friendly, cosy and very welcoming family atmosphere. We love this area and will stay at The Beach in the future. Thank you guys.
Location clean helpful staff
Dinning area abit lacking in character and comfort cold
Great people, welcome, food and ethos. The youth project that is underpinning this hotel's great atmosphere is inspriational.
The service was great, the staff were excellent, very helpful at all times. We were well looked after. The hotel was very very clean. Food was great. Room was a little small. But our stay there was great. Great clean, friendly, place to stay..
We were not happy with one thing there, when I checked the bed there it did not have a mattress protecter on. We always look for this as we do not like sleeping on beds with out one .. We did stay there, as the sheets were clean, very clean
Nothing better waking up looking out window to a beautiful sea view hotel staff are friendly and very helpful would Defo go again.
Lovely atmosphere. Very clean and the staff were very attentive.
Could do of a chair in the room to relax rather than having to sit in the bed.
Nice and large bedroom with a sea view.
The second day the bedroom has not been cleaned.
Very friendly/informative staff with a great central location with sea views!
The only fault (and it is minor) the second night of a stay was quite windy and the window 'whistled', but a small adjustment and it was sorted!
Modern stylish rooms Friendly and helpful staff Tasty breakfast, cooked to order + cereals, fruit and freshly baked pastries Seaview Complimentary toiletries and refreshments in room Bargain price
Room on the small side but not a problem
Friendly staff, ideal location, recently refurbished rooms and lovely breakfast
Nothing a real gem of a place
Location and comfort. Excellent breakfast
Pets (dogs) in the dining room.
The location, the bathroom, the room size
No lift, no telephone in room, one day without room being serviced. I paid £92 per day for "Luxury room" Everyone else booked direct and paid £50 for same rooms as economy were not ready
Friendly staff and good location. Room was very large.
The scrambled eggs were like chopped boiled eggs that had been fried in something grey... The omelette was also grey!
The interior decoration which didn't result in a "cosy" atmosphere
The hotel was lovely, staff good although some extra training would help. The dogs made very welcome
I was on the understanding that the beach outside the hotel was dog friendly NOT as having to walk miles to find out not dog happy
friendly staff, comfortable newly-decorated room, modern bathroom, good breakfast
Spacious room but it was a luxury room, location and view of the steam railway and sea. Excellent decoration and colour scheme.
no desk or flat surface in the room for writing, lack of soundproofing of the rooms, poor service at breakfast including no teapots, milk jugs or sugar bowls, no fresh fruit or yoghurt, cooked breakfast was slow to arrive and the standard did not justify the wait.
Fantastic staff, food and meals
the service was 5*. Nothing was too much trouble. They made our stay so relaxing They accept dogs. The breakfast was very nice too. The hotel is opposite minehead station for West Somerset railway and next to the hotel is the beach. Will be coming back next year!
No disabled access to get to the rooms but it's a small hotel so beyond their control
Staff and the food.
Cleanliness small cushions on bed were filthy covered in other guest dribble, prices to high for the room barely a sea view.
Well renovated en-suite and spacious room
The Hotel is close to everywhere, clean, bright, spacious and welcoming. The staff were all very freindly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. When we got to our room it was smart and beautifully clean and comfortable. The bathroom was luxurious at the price and very comfortable. We had a great view of the coast and local atractions, even two Steam Trains. It all made the place interesting and well appointed. We had travelled down from Essex to see a show at the Regal Theatre, just 5 mins walk away so we didn't need to drive. Parking was close by and it only cost us £5.70 to park from Saturday evening until Monday morning. As this is a recently refurbished building in an established part of town and not a modern out of town build, it would be hard to suggest how they could make it any better. Well done Staff, you made our short stay a great success, Thank you!
Leaving to come home! Minehead is a nice town with plenty of shops and facilities and things to do. The only small downside is that Butlins are only 20 minutes walk away and they attract numpties on binge drinking holidays it seems. We met a few drunks dressed up in costumes of all kinds and barely able to stand up... but all were in good spirits, even polite and well natured. We diod not encounter any problems at all. We woud certainly stay there again.
The bed and staff
Very little parking and no signs
Front desk, waiter staff, and maintenance personnel were quite agreeable and accommodating.
