Nice room and lovely white sheets. Bedding to be proud of. Bathroom beautifully clean.
When we arrived at the hotel there were a lot of youngsters sat on the floor in reception giggling etc and we had to walk through them to the desk. We wondered just where had we come to. Not a good first I mpression I am afraid!!! They made no effort to move out of the way. Very disconcerting and we wondered where we had booked into. Fortunately when we got to the room we settled down but I am not sure we would have stayed a second night purely and simply because of the teenagers littering the reception floor.
The bed was comfortable, and the room was quite large.
There was no window in the bathroom and it was quite small. Also the bath was slippy and therefore hazardous. Being adjoined to the Regency Restaurant there was a continuous smell of fish which is not good. At breakfast the cooked items had to be put on plates which were really for bread and butter. I did ask for bigger plates but was told there were none. Also, you could not see to your own toast. The staff were all youngsters which can be off putting.
Fantastic customer service
A traditional hotel with bay window overlooking the seafront. Friendly and helpful staff. A bit basic in terms of facilities but good value given the location.
Good bed Friendly staff Location is great as the hotel is near the beach and close enough to the city centre on foot.
It was clean the staff were friendly and very helpful. We had a comfortable stay. Close enough to the pier without being to noisy.
The parking was very expensive
The staff and the view was great easy access to brighton
could do with upgrade bedding didn't match bath panel broken
Can't fault the cleanliness. Breakfast was very good. Staff were helpful. Great location
Tired and old. In need of a good makeover. Duvet needed throwing away!
Cercanía a The Lanes y Brighton Pier. El desayuno bastante bueno y completo. Near The Lanes and Brighton Pier (5 min. walking). The breakfast so good.
No disponía de habitación para dejar las maletas, por lo que no pudimos visitar la ciudad en condiciones el día que nos marchábamos en tren (la estación tampoco disponía de este servicio). No luggage room in the hotel.
All the staff at the hotel were very friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was just OK.
The whole hotel was in urgent need of re-decoration, Carpets worn, Ceiling paper hanging off in the dining room, wall lights loose. All the walls were badly scuffed, Some window's cracked, and all in need of a clean.
Location and room size
Needs a bit of tlc and looking a little tired
We liked the location of the hotel, as it is situated in the centre of Brighton.
The hotel decor and facilities are outdated and old. It is a Very noisy hotel being woken up early morning by people above us walking around! Breakfast was average, food could be at a much better quality.
Location was very good the hotel is a bit tired looking but it is clean and good value for money the bedding was spotless & the breakfast was ok staff were friendly enough i would book this hotel again
I liked how they arranged the room for me, there was internet facilities available to me, one advantage of sleeping in the basement. Staff kept my milk in the fridge when ever I needed to feed my baby. Good location a few minutes walk to the pier.
There was too much noise, one disadvantage of sleeping in the basement, they had the kitchen upstairs and kept waking me up.
Very squeaky bed!!!
Very noisy, room was very hot with no AC.
Reception were very pleasantly always been on hand to help if necessary, by a very rich and tasty breakfast, room number 15 was a very nice large clean and very well there asleep. I would give this hotel more than 2 stars!
new furniture and new curtains on the windows
Good location, close to all amenities. Room was good size and nice and clean with a huge bed.
Location warm room comfortable fridge in room sea view
Trouble with toilet flushing and tv not working properly
The building is Victorian, So high roof and very spacious room with great detail. Great sea view, Restaurant underneath. Welcoming Staff. Close to everything, 10 mins walk to the lanes and Pier
The first impression as you walk in the room is wow, however then notice real dirty chairs, the bed wall lamps a cover missing. A standing lamp and the shade hanging off. The wow factor would remain should the management spend a hrs wage and little items to rectify. A beautiful building that would cost minimum to bring it back..£1 Land is just up the road so cheap to get these items. Breakfast was great apart from one thing again. Egg was just scrambled and no other choice.
the location was great could get to everywhere from the hotel
the hotel could do with a face lift stairs and lift out dated just looked tired.the hotel dosnt have any parking and its 20pounds aday in car park but is next to the hotel
location of hotel
everything booked 2nite when checked in our room there was a pair of dirty underwear on the bed dust everywhere food was very poor table was stick and unclear staff where unfriendly and very unhelpful even though there was vacancies for rooms they could not move us away from stag and hen partys
Location was great, very clean
Beds were not as expected, booked at twin room, as was with my sister but got a family room I guess with a large double and a very small single...noise was not good, so ear plugs needed, and stained chair let them down as this could be great hotel with a little thought and some refurb
