Bar area and restaurant
Bedrooms and bathrooms were a bit basic
Everything. the staff were great. food great the pub has been redecorated beautifully, location great. wish it was closer to home to go there for lovely meals.
Pound for Pound it was excellent value. Clean all round. Central. Very friendly and attentive staff , good value food. We would certainly use again.
My only criticism that would stop it getting 10/10 would be that my wife doesn't eat the "full English" and the alternative was lacking. i.e. no muesli, crossants, fruit compote or similar . There was only actual pieces of fruit and selection of cereal.
Room11 Bathroom full of mildew. Smelt badly in room.
Lovely room, good facilities and great location.
it was all excellent! nothing not to like
location food very good staff were really friendly
we were allocated a cottage across the road although comfortable clean and warm we would have preferred to stay within the pub
Friendly staff throughout my stay, offers a great location, facilities and a lovely breakfast to leave on.
Bed mattress didn't provide one of my best nights sleep, bathroom basin hot water tap didnt work.
Large , airy room with good view , clean and we'll laid out
The mattress was very uncomfortable and lacked any give and spring in it , we both woke with bad backs . A little more milk provided with the tea and coffee would've been good
Excellent overall !
The staff were fantastic food was lovely and in a great location Am going back for New Years eve hopefully and hope our room will be better than last time then it will match the quality of the rest of this lovely hotel !!!!!! Thanks guys !
Rooms were dated tv was small window was not very secure bathroom needed a paint job skirting especially !!! This was room eleven on the ground floor
Proximity to shopping village, Shoe Museum and Stonhenge.
Atmosphere , food and location.
Stayed here last year purely buy chance having scanned the net for accommodation near to Bridgwater carnival , very impressed and booked to come again this year , the inn has had a make over since last year and is still lovely , the room was good but we did miss the hand wash and shower gels that last year were attached to the bathroom wall and shower , remembering this I never bought any with me but was disappointed to see it replaced by two tiny sachets , completely inadequate for a family of four , but that is our only complaint . Will be back next year ( with shower gel )
No real sundries in the bathroom .
Location, rooms, breakfast, all in all a great all round getaway
great service ,friendly staff, good base for sight seeing of area.clarks shopping villiage on door step
heating not on till middle of night!!!,noisy next door couple.room in need of decoration.
A great location for us near family and the shopping village over the road.
Our room was in the main building and we had an extractor fan outside the window which was on all the time. If it was summer you would not want to have the window open. The hotel need to update windows for sound proof.
The location was execellent, the pub had obviously been refurbished recently and was excellent.Staff were friendly
The rooms were clean but could have been of a higher standard.
Atmosphere in main building and convenient location. Gardens and outside area very nice staff warm and friendly.
Did not like the family apartments as they were separate to main building. This accommodation was Very old and in need of an upgrade.
Location nice breakfast
Very old carpet in room no wake up call
bed was very comfortable and staff were friendly and obliging
noisy fan at night would disturb light sleepers breakfast could have been fresher
The staff at the pub were very attentive and polite, the food was also very good
site says disabled facilities, it does not have these. The ramp to get to access the room was not in place, the room was dirty, mould round bath and toilet cobwebs in room and bathroom window could all do with a lick of paint, Toilet would not flush properly. Bathroom door would not close, manager used a plane on the door, but I still could not shut it, my carer could. refreshment tray lacking more than one tea or coffee and no sweeteners. Damp in the room, rubbish from previous guest still in the drawer, dirty carpet. This is not 4* accommodation, more like 2*. The bed was hard and I awoke with a stiff neck and my spinal injury aggravated. Would not stay again and definitely do not recommend
great food. Friendly staff. Superb location.
We loved the atmosphere of the old building. Staff were very attentive but not intrusive. Restaurant food was some of the best we've ever tasted! Overall a fab place to stay. We will definitely stay there again.
The fan from the kitchen was outside our window which was a little noisy at times but didn't really spoil the stay.
