The room could do with a coat of paint and updating
The rooms were set in cottages adjacent to the Bear, which was a lovely idea. Most of the Staff helpful. Excellent location for Glastonbury and Clarkes Village. Meals in Bear lovely
The interior was a bit dated, windows did not close properly which was a worry on the ground floor and the electrics could do with an update.
The staff are terrific, and the bedrooms are warm.
We stayed here in one of the cottage rooms and were surprised at the size of the room for the price it is a beautiful place and we are looking forward to staying again
Very stylish eating area, was very impressed will definitely be going back
Nothing, it was all good
We loved the historic buildings/accomodation set in a quaint village. The restaurant was very modern inside although still built in mid 1800s. Food at the restaurant was excellent. There was a carvery plus a range of other food.
They upgraded us to the Rose Cottage, which was lovely with a view of Glastonbury Tor from the patio.
I could not fault the place
I hadn't been to The Bear since the upgrade! Brilliant! the car parking was very convenient Rose Cottage proved very ok
the smokers in the doorway the room could have been cleaner
This Hotel was adequate fr a one night stay. The breakfast was excellent.
The room lighting was totally inadequate. There was no main light and the two bedside lights were so dim it was impossible to read from them. We are of the age that we need and enjoy to read a lot at night and on this occasion we were unable to. We expect to make occasional one night visits to Street for the foreseeable future and for the above reason, we will research alternative accommodation in future. A guaranteed assurance may influence us to give The Bear a second chance!
Nearly everything was good, very comfy with the nice pub downstairs, and it was not noisy. We had a large room which was nice just to sit and relax in and good wifi.
The food was a bit poor. The menu was fine as it stood but the food was poorly prepared. We ate twice and found the same mediocre quality on both occasions, after that we ate out. Bit of a shame but I would go back again as there are plenty of other places to eat close by.
Food and service very good, room ok, not as good as rooms provided during previous stays..
It was a very cold night and the room was very cold.
Staff were so nice, especially Gemma
Think a more varied menu but its fine.
The accommodation was fine in our family room, with everything you would expect from a pub b&b, kettle, bath, wifi. The staff in the pub were very nice and helpful too.
But the bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable. The pillows were also very hard too. The food in the pub was pretty dull and uninspiring.
Location was excellent and staff were spot on. Decor in pub/restaurant was lovely
Room decor and facilities really let this place down. Television didn't work, cracked and ripped wood chip wallpaper, toilet seat and toilet roll holder very loose
Stayed here over the NYE 2014. Wanted spend the night in Glastonbury, making it to the top of the tor for the first sunrise of 2015! Unfortunately, it was raining, but made it at 8:00am to the top! Great location for visiting Glastonbury and the room was very clean! Friendly stuff and loved the breakfast! Thank you!
The staff were very friendly and accommodating Dinner was good, as was breakfast Accommodation parking
old whirlpool type bath bed not the most comfortable
Lovely room, Good food at reasonable price, Great location for Clarks Village outlet, parking, friendly staff, Coming again next year.
Organisation at Breakfast.
Breakfast and evening meal ok
Cottage room had poor beds and shower
Good location in the middle of Street. Bright, friendly place, but feels a bit like a youth hostel
Our rooms were in a building a hundred yards away on the other side of the busy road. Facilities quite basic, light over basin clearly hadn't worked for a while. Not great value for money. Breakfast very slow - all felt like something being done to a tight budget.
Love the whole place. Just need a few more milk, sugar and tea in the rooms.
Great location, comfortable bed and hot shower.
Food was great and the staff friendly and attentive. It was a good location and the pub had just been refurbished downstairs.
Radiators on the top floor room did not work, but we were provided with fan heaters which kept the room at a good temperature. Would have preferred the radiators to be working in the first place.
Pretty much everything including the excellent staff, the comfortable bed and the excellent breakfast.
No glasses or tissues in room.
Everything about the place.cant wait to stay again when time permits . excellent
nice happy staff very helpful would stay again when in somerset
