Dating back to the 1600s, The Three Tuns is set overlooking Chepstow Castle. Retaining its charming original features, the inn offers traditional accommodation, homemade food and a pretty beer garden....

Onsite car parking a bonus
Location of hotel
Cold shower. Bedroom too hot, unable to turn radiator down or open window. Messy reception area. Receptionist being continually interrupted by another member of staff whilst dealing with our departure.
Friendly staff. Nice brekkie. Good, central location.
Noise from adjoining bedrooms was an issue.
Town centre location with parking and nice bar
Poor heating and shower
Staff were really friendly, I was there for a night after the rugby so that made the atmosphere and the staff all joined the fun and banter.
Thought my room was a bit dated and although it had been booked i had to ask for the heating when i arrived
The Bar sold Magners.Good location close to the action.
The room was old looking and scruffy, the whole hotel was old and scruffy, fausty smell throughout, staff not the friendliest, overall bad value for my money.
I liked the welcome, the room, and the facilities. A good level of comfort.
Nothing to dislike.
Really helpful staff. My second visit and will probably be back.
Bar and staff very nice pleasant
Rooms too outdated and not worth the fee £ wud of paid £30 happily any more and without breakfast was expensive
Chepstow is a great place to tour the pubs and celebrate .The accommodation was great , many thanks
Friendly staff, good breakfast
Good range of beers in bar
Lovely, helpful staff and a basic but clean room.
Not warm enough for this time of year. Inadequate central heating for the room and certainly the bathroom. One of the ladies brought us a heater to supplement the room temperature. Thank you for that.
A bit dated, but good overall value for money
Nice old hotel but shame about the drunk locals.
The two local men at the bar kissing and cuddling all night was too much and thoroughly spoilt our meal as they were in full view of the restaurant.
Clean, comfortable, friendly, good food, well stocked hostess tray.
Creaky floorboards, no lift, water pressure in bathroom was very low, heating not on at all times (stayed in Dec temp 2% outdoors) window didn't shut properly had to stuff the gap with a towel.
To noisy.Nightclub next door. So did not get value for money. Would like a discount the next time we stay.
The shower in the room was appalling , I spent 10 mins trying to get some heat into it without success . I went down and complained to reception and was told "yeah I know all the showers here are awful' I was also told that they could do nothing about it . It's like going back 30 years to how hotels were . Poor Value due to the shower situation
The staff were very helpful and considerate and I enjoyed my dinner and lunch very much.
The hot water was very slow coming in the handbasin and the noise level was high owing to the old floorboards but that is probably to be expected.
Breakfast, bed, pub....
Not really clean, noisey....
Staff very open and helpfull the hotel has a warm atmosphere.
plumbing the water cistern and pipes were very noisy. air in pipes it seems
Staff very helpful, friendly, well stocked bar , nice vibe to the place , location ideal centre of town with parking near by.
No problems it is what it is
The predominantly young staff were very pleasant and helpful and what they lacked in experience they made up for by their enthusiasm. It was situated perfectly for all the business we had to conduct.
Central location. Plenty of space in the car park.
Don't go for the single room - you'd have more room if you slept in your car! No wifi in my room either - which was the main reason I chose this hotel over others.
No hot water or heating in room and the room smelt really bad of damp.
