We both loved the room,,all the staff were helpful and very polite. We were to late for the evening meal due to a sudden family illness..but the food from room service was excellent..very enjoyable stay...will be back
We did not like getting wet due to the heavy rain on arrival...not your fault..only joking..thanks once again..
We love everything about the Belfry. We book with booking.com to visit at least twice a year. Bit disappointed that rates have risen but reflected in refurb. Would definitely recommend fire & ice.
Lovely setting, good room, good gym, excellent breakfast
Price of drinks in bar and having to pay for wiifi
Cleanliness of room. Location of The Belfry. Breakfast was good quality. BelAir club was good fun. Spa was very relaxing. Loved the relaxation room after our back massage. Staff friendly. Neck and back massage was well worth it.
Pool changing rooms weren't as clean as everywhere else. Noone advised us of how to get robes or slippers so we felt a bit silly walking around in our swimwear and no slippers. Lady at reception of Spa knew it was our first time there but didn't explain that robes were £5 each(!) until we kept returning to reception for more info and we were only offered slippers after our back massage (3.5hours later). Room was a maze to find, especially with luggage.
The staff at the night club were very abrupt and rude.
The whole hotel
fan stayed on in the toilet all nigfht in all 3 rooms 3301, 3303,3305
The grounds and the rooms were excellent. The staff were friendly and overall we really enjoyed the stay.
Food: The kitchen staff twice sent food that wasn't cooked! Both myself and girlfriend were served fried egg on two occasions that was raw on top. The first instance happened at dinner, we had both ordered mixed grills neither of which was worth the menu price, but the nail in the coffin was clear egg white swimming on top of an under cooked egg. They took the plate and then served the same plate even though there was a potential for salmonalla contamination. The next morning the english breakfast had pretty much the same problem. Lovely hotel but I would recommend eating out, I find it shocking that a hotel of this callibre would employ kitchen staff that ignore basic food safety.
5 lights in bedroom not working on first evening (but all repaired next day). No control for turning off the air-conditioning or for adjusting air temperature. No bath. Narrow single beds. £30 for one bowl of macaroni cheese and two glasses of wine.
staff attitude mess up on my booking meal was horrible service
Breakfast staff,helpful.Comfortable room.Bar area.
Bar area though very attractive is extremely noisy. This is the only break we have had where there was a shortage of tea bags on the room tray.no biscuit..wouldn't happen up north!I do appreciate we did not pay full rate but would expect bath robes.
We enjoyed our friends anniversary party.
Very limited dinning facilities on Monday lunch time. We had arranged for guests to join us before we found out there were no tables for us to sit at!!! Stair case to our room in the Litchfield building was dirty. The lift was out of order and no one to assist with luggage considering my wife had her arm in a sling assistance would have been appreciated. We attended a party in the Ryder room and were surprise to see the carpets approaching the room looked stained and unkempt!
Great food, Sam's Club is great for chilling out after work.
£15 a day for WiFi when every other equivalent hotel has it for free!
The reception Room facilities and security The swimming pool
Awareness of the evening staff regarding vegetarian choice especially for the next morning.
The hotel has had a makeover and is a vast improvement on last time I stayed there. Great facilities and very clean.
being part of the golf heritage altho no time to play on this visit breakfast service good
food options were very poor even if prepared to pay top prices pool area, sauna, steam pretty drab
Loved the decor, the cleanliness was excellent. Plenty of choices as to where to eat..Sams clubhouse is very relaxed if you want something less formal. Drinks are quite expensive however. Food lovely!
Only thing I didn't like was red wine poured over me at dinner by waitress !
Slow service in the bar Starters inedible Service slow Poor wine service 2nd bottle poored on top of 1st bottle Slow service 1 hour time difference from starter to main course
Small touches like a plug point next to bed to charge your phone! So many hotels don't think of stuff like that.
Very helpful staff Nice brekky Good amenities Good refurb
We were traveling so good loction as only 5 mins from motorway. A lovely hotel, but when we arrived the open plan bar was very rowdy with golfers on obviously cheap golf breaks and what could have been a lovely experience was spoilt.
When we checked the reception staff explained where room was, we weren't told told that the lift was broken although our room was on the second floor and we weren't offered any help with our bags! The room was small but nice , but far too warm and there was no air conditioning and the windows were impossible to open. In the morning (lift still broken) we had breakfast in a restaurant full of rowdy golfers once again . I didn't feel I was staying in a 4 star hotel but only a 2 . Unfortunately I think the Belfry is still living off Ryder Cup history.
Great modern hotel with the best staff service I have experienced in many years. Food was excellent. The staff were simply fantastic, happy and polite at all times. 5 star service for great prices - Simply awesome overall experience
Nothing - Everything was perfect and much better than expected
even though staff were friendly the Belfry was too commercial bedroom could be cleaner far too many flies on window sill body hairs in shower
EVERYTHING UNDER ONE ROOF
