Score from 551 reviews Very good
being part of the golf heritage altho no time to play on this visit breakfast service good
food options were very poor even if prepared to pay top prices pool area, sauna, steam pretty drab
Loved the decor, the cleanliness was excellent. Plenty of choices as to where to eat..Sams clubhouse is very relaxed if you want something less formal. Drinks are quite expensive however. Food lovely!
Only thing I didn't like was red wine poured over me at dinner by waitress !
Slow service in the bar Starters inedible Service slow Poor wine service 2nd bottle poored on top of 1st bottle Slow service 1 hour time difference from starter to main course
Small touches like a plug point next to bed to charge your phone! So many hotels don't think of stuff like that.
Very helpful staff Nice brekky Good amenities Good refurb
We were traveling so good loction as only 5 mins from motorway. A lovely hotel, but when we arrived the open plan bar was very rowdy with golfers on obviously cheap golf breaks and what could have been a lovely experience was spoilt.
When we checked the reception staff explained where room was, we weren't told told that the lift was broken although our room was on the second floor and we weren't offered any help with our bags! The room was small but nice , but far too warm and there was no air conditioning and the windows were impossible to open. In the morning (lift still broken) we had breakfast in a restaurant full of rowdy golfers once again . I didn't feel I was staying in a 4 star hotel but only a 2 . Unfortunately I think the Belfry is still living off Ryder Cup history.
Great modern hotel with the best staff service I have experienced in many years. Food was excellent. The staff were simply fantastic, happy and polite at all times. 5 star service for great prices - Simply awesome overall experience
Nothing - Everything was perfect and much better than expected
even though staff were friendly the Belfry was too commercial bedroom could be cleaner far too many flies on window sill body hairs in shower
EVERYTHING UNDER ONE ROOF
Excellent ambiance and location
Food was glorified 'harvester pub menu' Well cooked pub quality food and lots of it at high class hotel prices but nothing that shouted quality gastronomic eating. Would stay again but eat else where !
Lovely hotel, beautiful spa
very small double room, poor lights, no bath tub, overpriced food which was not what I expected for the money I paid and we sat at the dinner at 9:30pm, main course finally arrived at 11:25pm,by that time I wasn't hungry and very tired after arriving from such a long journey. Next day in the morning at breakfast, which was included in my booking, we were told that they are so busy that there's no tables available and we have to wait because there are people in front of us waiting for table too. We had somewhere to be shortly after breakfast so we had to leave without having breakfast although I paid for it. I wanted to put a complain in but next at the check out there was a Que behind me so close that I could not discuss my matter privately so I decided to leave and made the full payment. I will not be staying there again.
The decor The parking
No free wifi for guests Poorly lit rooms uncomfortable bed very expensive Starbucks
The location is good and the recent refurb means everything is still in good condition.
The main bar took so long to serve us we gave up. This was on an evening which was not busy. The receptionist gave the most useless instructions to other parts of the hotel and it's a bigish complex so you can find yourself wandering around for a while looking for where you wanted to go.
The Brabazon Golf Course and the Golf staff.
The Service was not very professional, the food was basic and the SPA facility not on international standard.
Clean spacious hotel. Good bedrooms. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice
No walk around the grounds
The facilities were brilliant! Including the spa! The hotel was lovely inside and the staff were always happy to help. Food was also delicious at the bar
Decor Service Comfort Breakfast
Air conditioning unit right outside my window - very noisy, Having to pay a ridiculous £15 for wi-fi. Total rip off. I stayed in a London premier travel inn last week and they charged just £3.
Golf staff were excellent as was the golf facilities, the courses were in excellent condition.
Ladies locker room in spa was dirty with make up on floor. It would have been helpful To know things like needing £1 for lockers in spa, as we Went without our purse.
They charge fee for using nettwork, both annoying and takes a lot of time logging all the time. Stupid and short thinking, i do not go back because of this.
The spar and gym
Room was to warm and kept getting woke up by doors slamming shut and early hours of the morning people walking past our window!
Golf fantastic facilities
cup of tea £3.50 ridiculous service very poor staff at Sam's bar very badly trained
Unable to change the room temperature in the room.booked a suite but had no fridge or bath
